Maddison James is about to discover some truths about the world. Firstly … supernaturals exist. WTF? Secondly … she is one, even though no one seems to know exactly what kind. Double WTF. Thirdly … she’s about to go back to school. Well, things just got a little more interesting. The Supernatural Academy is where shifters, vampires, magic users, and fey are educated. Where they are taught about … fey are educated. Where they are taught about their abilities, and how to function in the human world. Maddison already has the human part down, but this supernatural thing is an entirely new dangerous game.
Example one: mean girls who can actually turn you into a frog.
Example two: Asher Locke, a god at the Academy. Not literally … well, who knows for sure. He certainly acts the part, as do all of his minions who worship him.
Asher drives her crazy, because apparently gorgeous and arrogant is her thing. Sparks fly between them, and the more they’re thrown together, the more Asher is determined to figure out what’s been blocking her abilities.
Until the moment the truth is revealed, and they find out nothing in this supernatural world is what they thought.
Including each other.
Supernatural Academy is 105k words, full length urban fantasy story. Recommended 17+ due to language and sex scenes.

Acadamy story about Atlantis? Bring it. I love this series.
This was my first Jaymin Eve book and I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and watching the plot unfold.
I loved everything about this book and just couldn’t put it down, fantastically written with stunning and captivating characters, Multi layers of sub plots that are easily followed and wonderful action with romance. A must read for so many reasons. I am sure you will love these books as much as I did.
Apparently, I am one of the few who absolutely loved this book. I read Jaymin Eve’s Secret Keepers series and fell in love with her writing and characters so when I saw she was coming out with a supernatural series I was all over it.
The world building in this book was spectacular, it felt like I was actually there seeing things as Maddison did for the first time. When Maddi decided this was the year of pink and it was going to epic, she did not expect to fall into a world she did not know existed much less a world she is a part of.
Atlantians are what made this book for me. These 5 guys were each unique in their own right, but they all had a soft spot for Maddi. Eve pulls from Greek mythology which was unique to me and made the story that much more intriguing. All in all, another great book from Jaymin Eve, cannot wait for book 2!!
Supernatural Academy: Year One is my first book by Jaymin Eve, and after reading, I’m not quite sure why I’ve never read one before. After days of starting and discarding books, I read the blurb for this book and finally felt a spark of interest that lasted longer than a couple of chapters. I’m so glad I dove into this world because it’s fascinating and huge.
Summary:
Madison James has fought hard to make it to the ripe old age of twenty-two. Life has been unendingly hard with little to no trust in those around her. She’s just looking to make it to the next year, the next birthday, and survive. That all changes this birthday. Suddenly she must learn to trust in a whole lot more than survival. The fact that supernaturals exist is the first pill to swallow. The second, that she’s one of them, is the next and hardest. Suddenly, Maddi is thrust headlong into a school environment with magical and awe-inspiring things all around her. The most awe-inspiring being the intensely powerful and supernaturally hot Atlantean-Five. Maddi has a lot to learn about where she comes from, but she’s determined to do it. Even if a certain Atlantean makes it difficult for her to focus. This is a chance Maddi never saw herself getting and she won’t let it pass her by. She’s going to embrace her new life and do what she does best. Survive.
Having not read a book by Jaymin Eve before, I don’t think I had any expectations for this book. I really just wanted a story I could get lost in for a while, and Supernatural Academy did that brilliantly. I really liked Maddi from the beginning. She was strong, independent, street-smart, and a survivor. She had not had an easy time of it, and I was admiring her for making it to this point in her life when her life circumstances changed dramatically. With the promise of a whole new world of magic, I was hooked and adopting Maddi’s excitement as my own. Suddenly Maddi’s entire universe expanded and threatened to explode with possibilities and I was there for it. Ilia and Larissa were the best friends a girl like Maddi could ask for and I adored all of their time spent together. I really enjoyed the snippets of the side story we got for each of them, and I’m hoping that continues in future installments. The Atlantean-five were intense. At first, I did think this was going to be a reverse harem read, and even though the bonds were deep and strong, they weren’t all sexual or romantic in nature. I definitely wouldn’t have minded a deeper dive into the psyche and bonds between the self-proclaimed brothers, though. Especially Asher. The storyline was unique to me. I’ve not read a book centering around Atlantis before, but it was fascinating. I loved the buildup of finding out how Maddi factors into this lost city. Overall, I was pretty hooked on the story from beginning to end. The world-building was amazing and at times I felt like I could actually envision exactly where Maddi was. I do have some questions about why Maddi felt she had to run in the first place. Like what her motivation was for moving on quickly. The storyline was exciting and thrilling, and opens up so many avenues for future books to take. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Maddi learns next, and if she can learn to control her magic.
I loved this book, I was hooked right from the start and hanging on every word. I quickly fell in love with the characters and was soon wrapped up in their world, Maddi was incredibly strong and empathetic, the boys were perfect book boyfriend material, and the mean girls were the kind you love to hate. I can’t wait to find out whats next, this series is so addictive, the narration was fantastic and flawless,
I loved this series…not a reverse harem btw
I first heard the Supernatural Academy Year One by Jaymin Eve on Audible. I heard the book in two days. I couldn’t stop listening. At the end, I was needing to hear Year Two and Three. So I ordered all three books Years One, Two and Three for my library through Amazon and also added them onto my Kindle Unlimited library which is the reason I purchased Kindle Unlimited.
Guys Jaymin has done it again. I grabbed this complete trilogy off of KU on a whim and it was just as addictive as every other book Jaymin has written.

This series is an Academy read with a set of friends you are going to ship HARD. With the crazy that they face in these three years, their bonds only grow stronger and you only becoming more in love with them. This series follows a group of friends as they face the resurfacing of Atlantis and he fury of the gods that are intervening in it.
Epic love,
A squad worth of friend goals.
and a story that keeps you on your toes and yelling at the pages on more than one occasion. Perfection.
5 stars for Supernatural Academy Year One by Jaymin Eve. This is book one in the Supernatural Academy series. I am loving this series so far. Maddi had no idea she was supernatural until she was dragged to the Supernatural Academy. She doesn’t believe it at first but she doesn’t have anything to lose. I love her character and I can not wait to see what she is going to become. At the Academy she makes friends and meets the Atlantean Five. They are the most powerful in the school with Asher being the most powerful out of all of them . She is drawn to them but none of them seem to know why. No one knows what kind of supe she is but they know she is powerful. I love how Jaymin Eve writes like we are in the story. Maddi is on a journey and I can’t wait to see what is to come for her and her group.
Are You Ready For The Year Of The Pink Hair?!
Well I’ll be dammed! Don’t take this as surprise coz honestly i’ve read too many of Jaymin’s books not to be surprised by her astounding talent and the stories she weaves, she’s like the flippin’ goddess of storytelling. But no matter how many books this woman creates she never ceases to amaze me.
It never gets old that feeling you get when you’re completeley submerged in a book that you forget whats going on around you or in you. I honestly surprised myself that I was able to read this book in a day, as i honestly didn’t think I’d be able to push through with my pain levels so high and rocking a pretty bad TMJ headache but duuude I totally stand corrected. Your books Jaymin are the perfect fix. She transported me into her world without effort. From page one, ahh scratch that, sentence one, man was I a complete gonner. You just managed to help me physically read one of my first books for some time now instead of heavily relying on audiobooks. Soo yay for a win! I knew if anyone could do it would be u!!
Totally loved everything about this book. The characters were totally loveable and created in a way that made you feel like you were part of their team. The chemistry of the couple whew…hot. But even that aside I loved just watching as the friendships were made and their little posse grew even more close knit. If you’re after a story that has the best kind of feels in the department of family and friends coming together guys you need to give this a shot. I know you wont be disappointed.
I’ve also gotto say I absolutely loved Maddi’s character her resilience was mindblowing. She’s known nothing but hardship her life was anything but easy but she hasn’t let that stop her and thats something I admired and related to. To her fire and strong character. You instantly want the best for her. And so when her world was literally turned upside down…what did she do? she legit just kept on going and took everything in-stride and saw it as something hopeful. You gotto get behind a chick like that right? Also her amusing personality and out there humour is just an added bonus. You cant help but love her.
I really also loved the uniqueness this story weaves, yes its still connected to the world Jaymin created in Supernatural Prison Series but it still stands out completeley on its own. Yes you can read it on its own but it does still flow on from the previously written series. Louis will pop in and out in the story and mention of the other series is brought in but it’s not detrimental to the actual book itself. Just as a reader who loves Jaymin’s books it allows you to make all the connections and know what’s being referred to, if that makes sense. I really loved the mythology side of this book and how it was based around Atlantis, I found that really interesting and enjoyable.
As Maddi would say…this is the year of the Pink Hair. And boy what a year it will be.
I honestly just loved everything about this book. It was epic in a way that just continues to blow your mind and I seriously can’t wait to read what comes next….Bring on the year of the …… hair – hehe nope no spoilers from me. You’re going to have to read it yourself to find out what next years colour will be.
Thanks Jaymin for this fantastic read it was absolutely incredibly awesome!
Happy Readings My Nerdy Friends
This book is so awesome and steamy! Everything this author writes is amazing!
I hovered between four and five stars on this one. I finally settled on five because it’s just such a page-turning, enjoyable read. The story sucked me right in from the beginning and held my attention literally the entire time.
My only issue was the excessively detailed descriptions of like every single outfit that slowed me down. But that was easy enough to skip over.
Also, I listened to this on audio and I was blown away by the talent of the narrator. Her voice is smooth and enticing. She doesn’t have any weird habits that irritate you after you’ve been listening to someone for hours. Now I am purposely seeking out stories she narrated. Definitely worth listening to!
Excellent book! I really enjoyed the unique storyline about sups. It’s really different than any other supernatural books. The characters are cute, funny, strong and loving.
Love Jaymin Eve writing she has a knack to create great worldbuilding and wonderful characters. This debut series was good and kept me glued to my Kindle. Will definitely finish this series and can’t wait to see what happens next!!
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next in the series. Jaymin writes strong, snarky female characters whose POVs I really enjoy reading. Just my cup of tea!
It’s Jaymin Eve that should be all this review needs. The story plot is like reading a movie unfold. She has a way of just digging into your imagination and tickling all the heart strings. Her characters have an amazing depth and chemistry she just makes ooze off the pages.
It really kicked in for me midway through the book and I couldn’t put it down! <3
Decent story, well edited. Awful lot of swearing so probably not fit for young teens. I like this author and the world was neat, but it seems like things happened so fast for Maddison, the heroine and she took it all in stride and excelled. It’s fantasy, I get that, but for someone who thought she was human, she seemed a little too good to be true. Supporting cast was good though. It’s on KU so that’s a bonus.
The Details:
– 18+
– New Adult
– 1st in a series
– Academy Fantasy Romance
– Slowburn
Jaymin Eve has stated that Supernatural Academy has been her most asked about book and after reading it, you won’t have to ask why.
Supernatural Academy: Year One will draw you in and hold you captivated throughout the book.
Although it’s not Reverse Harem romance (yes, the author has been asked this question many, many times) this book contains a group of hot, protective, possessive Alpha men and none of them more so than Asher Locke, the lead male character of the book.
From his first glimpse of Maddison James (Maddi), Asher is intrigued and there’s no wonder why.
Maddi has lived her whole life in the human world with no idea that supernaturals exist and now, after learning that she’s a supernatural (although no one knows what kind), she has to attend Supernatural Academy.
With vibrant pastel pink hair and a kick ass attitude, Maddi immediately stands out among the students of Supernatural Academy.
While some might say that the pacing of this book is a little off, I’d have to disagree. I found the pacing acceptable and enjoyed the introduction to the world, finding the author’s worldbuilding fascinating and was delighted to go on the journey into this new ‘supernatural’ world with the female main character.
For me, this book was more about Maddi (the female main character’s) discovery of the supernatural world and her first voyage through it, about learning truths about herself and getting the lay of the land in the ‘supernatural’ world.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the second book: Year Two (the year of purple!).
Highly Recommended
