A USA Today bestselling standalone novel in the Brooklyn Bruisers world!
Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny. But the girl was left … meet your destiny.
But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.
While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.
But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.
She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.
Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing to win.

A sweet love story from Sarina Bowen. Though not my favorite book in the series, like all in the Brooklyn Bruisers series, its a solid and well written story. Perhaps the main characters were just too sweet and cute. A little predictable at times, but still a good read.
Love her books. Always a great read!
I just loved everything about this book.
First Impressions…
Oh boy!!!! I have been eagerly waiting for Silas and Delilah’s story ever since we discovered her was her superfan…and it was so worth the wait! Silas was sweet, spectacular, and just so wholeheartedly good and nice! I loved him so much, and I adored Delilah! She was guarded, and cynical, so it was amazing to see her open up throughout this story!!! I loved every single minute of it!
This Book In 5 Words:
Sexy. Spectacular. Sweet. Serendipitous. Scintillating.
What Did I Like:
– Basically everything. 😉
– Silas and Delilah. I have loved Silas since the first time we met him in Sarina’s earlier books, and each time we learned more about him, I grew to love him more and more! I especially loved seeing how much of a “superfan” he was of Delilah Sparks and I just knew there had to be more to their story than him just being a fan…getting to see the two of them together and learning their history was wonderful! I also loved Delilah! Both characters are so passionate and they were so supportive of each other and I really loved seeing how they fit together….soooooo good!!! 😀
– The other characters! One of the things that I’ve loved about Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn and Brooklyn Bruisers books is seeing how all of the characters interact! The team/organization dynamics, and seeing how everyone fits together has been so fantastic! I loved getting to see so much of it in SUPERFAN–it was perfect! 😀
– The romance!!!! Wooooowwwwzers! I adored Silas and Delilah together…so…freaking…much! They were sweet, worked well together, and the romance was also so intense and their chemistry was amazing! It was exactly what I’d hoped we would get when I was eagerly hoping for Silas and Delilah’s story to be shared next!
What Didn’t I Like:
– Nothing! I thought that this book was absolutely wonderful and I loved every minute of it. It had me feeling all the feels and I was 100% here for all of it. 😉

Second-chance romances! Sports romances of any kind! Even if you don’t like sports romances, but just love romances that will pull you in, leave you breathless and swoony…then totally pick this up!
Overall, I absolutely loved SUPERFAN! It was fun, sweet, sexy, and totally wonderful! It can be read as a standalone, but you can also read the full series if you want to get to know everyone who’s a part of the Brooklyn Bruisers team and organization! 😉 Highly recommend this one! It’s been one of my favourite romances for the year!
Delilah and Silas
This is an exciting, original story. Delilah and Silas are a wonderful couple. I really did not want this book to end as I was so enjoying their unique journey. Looking forward to reading more books by the talented Sarina.
Loved the way Silas (Ralph) was such a nice guy…almost too good to be true. But she wouldn’t give him her phone number and he let her think his name was Ralph. Big mistake on both of them. But…thank goodness for the internet and him finding her at her first hockey game while he was watching on TV. Cute way he communicated with her and got himself a get-together with her. Some suspense, a little unpredictable with her ex (she decided to get with him when Ralph didn’t show up) and that ex was her manager…have to read it to find out about the ex…the new manager, an island get-away with his team, bodyguards, and writing new music. Was a good book. What a nice guy…swoon!
I love Silas so freaking much. I liked him as a side character in past books. And I’m so happy that he finally got his own book. He’s sweet and sexy and you can’t help but fall in love with him. Delilah is a somewhat insecure, distrustful rock star. So yes, this is technically both a sports and a rockstar romance. And I’m here for all of it! Sarina Bowen is an amazing writer. She always seems to be able to get me invested in her characters and stories. Aaron Shedlock really honed into the Silas character so well. His voice brought that layer of confidence mixed with vulnerability. And Virginia Rose has a slightly deep voice that is perfect for that rockstar vibe. Loved this book.
Love love love!!
OMG Silas and Delilah’s story might be my favorite of the Bruisers series… But I think I’ve said that after ever single book in this series. I love this team so much and hope the series never ends!!
What a swoonworthy second chance romance!! It was sweet, sexy, and kept me on the edge of my seat! Superfan was the third book in Sarina’s Brooklyn series. I don’t think I have mentioned it before, but these can all be read as stand-alones. They are all connected but you don’t need everyone’s info to jump in! (But you should read them all!!)
Silas met Delilah when they were both “nobody”. Unfortunately, fate was not on their side. Before they could meet up again, they were pulled in different directions. Would their paths ever cross again?
Delilah quickly rose to fame, but it hadn’t been an easy road. She was even more guarded than the last time she saw Silas. When a mystery hockey player made a bet with her, would she take it? Would fate allow them their second chance?
Wow!! I was not expecting all the suspense! I am pretty sure I gasped several times. Silas was such a genuine and amazing man! He made sure Delilah was always first, no matter what. Such a sweet couple!!
Re-read 3 times so far!!!
Wow! Just Wow!
I really loved this book. I have to admit that I’m a sucker for strong men who aren’t afraid to act on / verbalize their crushes …. and this one has that at a 10 out of 10!
The storyline is much more than the “don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” plot that is typical romance. This has a well thought out plot with characters who are struggling to both overcome their own challenges and come together to have a life that is more than they could have thought.
Silas and Delilah meet when each is struggling with achieving their dreams. They flirt harmlessly, realizing that it could be something more … but all that takes a back seat as each one focuses on their careers.
Later, each is successful in their own right, as Delilah faces challenges from a former beau and manager. Silas has never forgotten her and has become her biggest (and most silent) fan. That changes when she agrees to a date, set up by his friends. The date starts to turn into more, with Silas realizing that he needs to lay it on the line if he’s going to move from being a fan to something more.
For me, the dialogue is sigh-worthy. Silas very openly courts Delilah and his soul-baring ways will renew your romantic spirit.
This is my second Sarina Bowen book, but it won’t be my last. It immediately went on my “re-read” shelf and has become a favorite when I needed an escape with familiar characters.
Download this book! You won’t be sorry.
I purchased this book and loved it so much that I felt it important to write a review! Big Sarina Bowen fan!!!
Superfan is a fantastic addition to the Brooklyn Bruisers series by Sarina Bowen. Sometimes in a series when a book about a certain character is anticipated, the actual book is a disappointment. This is not the case with Superfan. The backstory on Silas Kelly was better than I thought it would be. I was totally happy with this one!
I’m a big fan of Sarina Bowen and have read all of her True North and Brooklyn books. I’ve been waiting for a romance for the smooshy, lovable goalie Silas for a while, and this did not disappoint. Delilah and “Ralph” (Silas) are a great couple, and their story develops over time. It is a second-chance love story, with the requisite ambition and timing setting up barriers that come down along the way. A great read. Highly recommend.
I loved Superfan! I absolutely love Silas and have been waiting for a book about him since Rookie Move. He is literally the sweetest and nicest guy and he’s also a hoot! He’s just so easy to like and root for. Delilah is sweet and generous. She may not have made the best decisions in the past, but she learns from her mistakes and starts to make much better ones. Her and Silas together are adorable and I loved getting to learn about their past and how they met. The storyline sucked me in and kept me hooked; I loved everything about it except maybe Brett. I love this whole hockey team and how they’re always included and joking around with each other, they definitely keep the book highly entertaining! Superfan was wonderful from start to finish! I can’t wait for Bayer’s book!
The Bruisers are back! I love this series and everything that goes along with it. Silas and Deliah’s story was no different. I love a good second chance romance and their story did not disappoint!
I just loved this story so much!
Silas and Delilah gave me all the butterflies from the beginning to the very end. I truly enjoyed every moment. And I’d definitely recommend. Now I want to go back and read all the other in the series. LOVE!
I really loved Silas and how constant his love for was Delilah. While I understand this is a story about missed connections, I really wish that she would have just given him her number. I really didn’t like that there was a relationship at all with Brett and it was clear to see what he was doing from the start. All in all it was a very light book that had a great love story, especially because of Silas. He is a top book boyfriend contender for sure.
It was so great to be back with the Brooklyn Bruisers. I adore Sarina Bowen and the worlds she creates. Silas and Delilah meet just before she becomes one of the biggest pop stars in the country and just before he’s drafted to the Bruisers. Forcing him to admire her from afar for 3 years, on opposite coasts and with two demanding careers, it seems they just aren’t meant to be. Their story had a little bit of everything, angst, mystery, tragic backstory, and humor. My heart hurt for Delilah and all that she’s survived. I struggled with the fact that they spent so much of their time apart, but at the same time, it gave them time to really get to know each other through texts and calls, and understand the other. Even this is considered a standalone, I highly recommend reading all the Brooklyn Bruisers before this one.
I was looking forward to Silas’ story as he always came across as sweet and caring. Nice to see him get the girl of his dreams.
It took me a while to get interested in the story but when I did it was a great book and a great ending.
How adorable is Silas?!? I just love him! Man, Delilah is one lucky lady.
This was such a sweet second-chance romance, with a bit of mystery and suspense
Silas was so cute when it came to Delilah- it was fun to see him falling for her. I liked the chapters from when they first met- I was rooting for Silas to get her number! After reading about his infatuation with Delilah in the previous book, it was great to learn their backstory.
I really enjoyed the way they reconnected, I liked that Silas’s friends intervened and gave him a “helping” hand, they are a great group!
Delilah was very down-to-earth, not your typical spoiled pop diva- she’s a hard worker and a giver. While there was part of one scene with her that kind of threw me, I wasn’t sure why it was included to be honest, she definitely has a good heart and is very caring. She and Silas were a great match.
All was not easy for the young couple, though, even as they worked to navigate their new found relationship. With careers that kept them on the move, home bases on opposite coasts, an a-hole ex and a possible stalker, they had a lot on their plates.
But after finally finding Delilah again, Silas wasn’t about to let anyone or anything ruin what they were building.
