A USA Today bestselling standalone novel in the Brooklyn Bruisers world!
Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny. But the girl was left … meet your destiny.
But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.
While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.
But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.
She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.
Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing to win.

I loved this book from start to finish. The characters were wonderful and believable. The conflict was fairly easy to predict, but it was still extremely well done. And there were enough things that surprised me along the way to keep it all interesting. Mostly I just loved Silas though.
I’m a Superfan of Sarina’s books, this series, and her new release, Superfan. If you’re looking for your newest Book boyfriend, Silas (aka Ralph) is your guy! Sweet, funny and oh-so adorable.
Liked the little bit of intrigue this book included, as well.
I love Sarina’s books and this one is a hockey romance–yum! Their past is a single star-crossed kiss. Their future will be decided in one fateful night. Get Superfan now!
Silas Kelly met the beautiful and talented Delilah Sparks before he started playing for the Brooklyn Bruisers, but he hasn’t forgotten her. When the opportunity to see her again presents itself, he can only hope she’ll forgive him for standing her up years ago.
Delilah is a rising singer/ songwriter who got mixed up with a bad deal, bad manager, and bad boyfriend all wrapped up in one. She’s broken it off with him, and when Silas suddenly shows up in her life, she remembers how he made her feel. It doesn’t take them long to pick up where they left off, even though their circumstances and situations are very different from when they met. They really are just perfect for each other from the minute they share the page together.
There’s a bit of suspense when situations from Silas’ and Delilah’s past collide and threaten their joint happiness. They have a few hurdles to get through before they can make it to the final pages of the story and their happily ever after.
This is a sweet second chance romance — Silas and Delilah couldn’t be much better with each other and they truly deserve another chance, which comes about in quite a cute and humorous fashion. There’s a heaping helping of characters from other books in this series and their significant others which I always love in a series and I’ll admit I just had to go and re-read Bountiful again just because of one adorable scene.
Superfan can absolutely be read standalone, but I definitely recommend this entire series. While some of the conflict was predictable, it was overshadowed by the romantic elements of the story because Silas and Delilah are just so cute together! Another winner in this series!
An ARC was provided for review.
5 Star Review of Superfan (Brooklyn #3) by Sarina Bowen
This was a fabulous read. Sarina Bowen had me from the first to the last page hook, line and sinker.
Silas and Delilah, are two halves of a whole; they are simply meant to be. Having met previously they are torn apart by circumstances but fate plays a hand and they finally have their second chance at a happily ever after.
Silas is now a professional hockey player and Delilah a recording artist. These two have a history full of miss understanding and yet they are both drawn to one another.
Can they overcome what life keeps throwing at them, or are they destined to remain apart?
I fell hard and fast for Silas, he is just so swoon worthy that you cannot help but fall for him. I loved how all in he was.
Not only was it romantic but there was also some suspense that had me intrigued. This was a well written, fast paced story with characters you cannot help but like and relate too.

Finally Silas!
We’ve already heard about his Delilah addiction in the last book!
And now we hear all about how he met her three years ago – when he was jobbing as a bartender in California. And Delilah was an über-talented girl about to hit it big in the music business. At least that’s what Silas promised her. What he didn’t tell her was his real name! And his profession! She thinks he’s a Cali surfer bar guy named Ralph! LOL!
And now they’re in contact again – via twitter! Only Delilah – a superstar now – doesn’t know anyone named Silas! Yet.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!!!
Such an adorable story!
I’m not the biggest hockey romance fan – but I just adore the boys and girls in this series – and anything Sarina writes is amazing anyway!
Silas and Delilah. Adorable and a bit sad and heartbreaking. Both haven’t had the easiest time with their lives and careers. But they’re finally both where they always wanted to be.
Now they just need to get that romantic happily ever after – with each other. Which won’t be easy. She’s living in California and he’s in Brooklyn. Plus her idiot ex is trying to sabotage her love life and her career.
But the reader adores every single second of their journey to that happy end!
SUPERFAN was adorable, funny, sad, heartbreaking, sweet, hockey-ish, music-ish, Brooklyn-ish … and so much more! Silas is just über-adorable!
I loved it!
Let’s see, what do I like about this book? Well that’s easy, EVERYTHING! It had all the good stuff I have come to love and expect from a Sarina Bowen book. Superfan is such a sweet love story about these two amazing characters, Silas Kelly and Delilah Sparks, that is a few years in the making. It is at it’s core an adorable and romantic second chance love story that just happens to be about a hockey player and a pop/rock star. It is entertaining, fun, charming, witty, sexy and even a little suspenseful. There is a lot going on!
The chemistry between Silas and Delilah is off the charts!! I was rooting for them all the way!! Silas is such a sweetie! He is not one of those full of himself athletes that relishes in all the ladies throwing themselves at him. Nope, Silas is not like that at all and that is what made him so darn easy to love! He has had such a crush on Delilah Sparks for years and his teammates know it and tease him about it all the time! (I love the cameos with the teammates and their women in this book) Delilah is sweet and down to earth and not at all a diva pop star. She does have some trust issues due to something that happened to her in her past, but Silas is aware and tries to help her.
They both have successful careers going for them now, but that wasn’t the case when they first met. Now 3 years later, fate (or rather seeing Delilah on TV during a hockey game he was watching) allows Silas to reach out to her (in such a cute way I might add ) and try and get another chance with her. And then it’s on!
I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed reading book!! I am so thankful to have received an early ARC!
Another great addition to this series! Silas and Delilah’s storyline is fun and flirtatious. Their chemistry is a friendship to lovers/slow burn, but once ignited its scorching hot! A definite must read!
I just love the Brooklyn Bruisers and the Brooklyn series by Sarina Bowen. Having read her earlier book, Overnight Sensation, I grew to love my Delilah Sparks loving hockey goalie, Silas Kelly. I couldn’t wait for him to get his happily-ever-after in this sweet second chance romance story.
Even if you haven’t read other prior Brooklyn books, this can easily be read as a standalone, but in reading the other books you do get to see just how big a fan of music star, Delilah Sparks, Silas is. Why such a fan? Well, we find out in this book and it’s because they’ve met before! (that’s not a spoiler as it’s in the book blurb so we’re good).
First Hook – Twitter Banter and a Dare
First off, I’ll say that I love it when a book hooks me right rom the start. The opening scene to Superfan is pure gold and sets up a great reunion with these two love birds. Nothing like a little Twitter banter, meddling friends and a dare to start things off with a bang.
Silas the Stud
This book was all about Silas for me. Sure, Delilah is great, but Silas was THE MAN. He’s this caring, happy-go-lucky kind of guy who surprised me with his slightly alpha ways when he saw Delilah again for the first time. Man, not to giving away any spoilers, I’ll just say that he just went for it and it was PERFECT.
Superfan was slightly different from the other books of the series in that it had a bit of a suspense angle to the story surrounding Delilah as well as a person from Silas’ past making trouble for them. Despite these troubles, you can see that these two have had a bad case of instalove that hasn’t died despite the distance of time.
This is another great hit from Sarina Bowen that will appeal to the second chance romance lovers out there. A must read!

Boy meets girl. They both have dreams. Some dreams come with consequences. Delilah has an agent
who is taking advantage of her. Silas, wants to become a professional hockey player. They spend a few days together. Delilah never really knew Silas’s real name. But Silas follows her career. Silas is smitten with her and asks her on a date. He is what you call the perfect boyfriend. No drama from
him just sweetness. Delilah, has a lot of baggage. The hope is that Silas can carry that baggage
for her. The writer takes you on a ride hoping that Delilah sees that Silas is her forever after. That
she can trust him when she trusts no one. I enjoyed this book and look forward to many more by Sarina Bowen.
“Superfan” by Sarina Bowen is my new favorite from Sarina Bowen. However, I’m pretty sure I say that after each one. This was such a well written story – different style than some of the others, bouncing back and forth in time to tell the full story and I loved it. I felt so much more connected to the characters knowing the complete back story of their history.
I don’t know what I’m going to do when this series ends- I’m so invested in these stories.
If you’re a fan of romance and especially romance with the hockey sub theme – then you will love this series. A must add for your collection.
Happy Reading…enjoy!
Reading a new Sarina Bowen novel is always a joy. I know to expect a sweet romance full of heat, heart, humor, a little suspense, a little angst, and a happy ending. An engaging story with lovable, colorful characters whose flaws and insecurities make their stories both unique and relatable; romantic escapism at its best. Superfan ticks all the boxes, making it a perfect summertime indulgence. Easily read as a standalone, it’s both a perfect addition and an introduction to the popular Brooklyn Bruisers hockey series.
Honestly, I was a little concerned that the combination of two popular romance genres – rock star and sports romance – might result in a novel that failed to deliver on the promises their readers expect. But I was wrong. In Sarina’s more than capable hands, it was plausible and seamless, delivering on all its promises, and then some. At a time when it often feels as if originality is being sacrificed on the altar of mass production, and books are rushed to publication to keep up with the demand for the next big trend, there’s a lot at stake for popular authors trying to keep their fans satisfied and attract new readers. Only the best authors can rise to the occasion, and I count Sarina among them.
Silas and Delilah are delightful, individually and as a couple. I felt for them, deeply, every step of the way, because although a lot of the story is lighthearted and fun, an aura of suspense hangs over nearly every scene and keeps the story moving from beginning to end. I highly recommend Superfan to diehard Sarina Bowen fans as well as to new readers looking for a new twist on two enduring and popular romantic genres.
I love everything Sarina Bowen writes, but especially her hot hockey players!! This one is no exception.
Well, Sarina Bowen has officially created a fantastic new trope in this hockey player/rock star pairing! So fun! Who knew Silas was going to be so sweet and romantic? Swoon! I loved Delilah- super smart and sassy with so much drive. What a fantastic pairing. The second chance romance was a perfect slow burn. Although Superfan can be read as a standalone, it was fun to see other Brooklyn Bruiser characters that we have gotten to know- Rebecca and Nate’s wedding was a special treat. Superfan is a delight and a must read!
A second chance for a Spark to ignite…
****4.5 Stars****
I honestly thought by the title, that the Superfan was going to be the heroine. I guess after ‘meeting’ the Bruisers I just assumed that all the women were going gaga over them as much as I am. How utterly captivated I was to learn that the Superfan was Silas, the goalie, over Delilah Spark. Sure, I was having a doey moment considering I know that Silas has a wee bit of an infatuation with Ms Spark. But, in true narrow-minded…I’ve read too much romance…judgement, I automatically assumed a sports romance hero would have a Superfan. Me and my silly *going in blind* mentality. I don’t have to check a blurb to preorder a Sarina Bowen, Brooklyn, it’s just an auto-buy.
I really enjoyed this second chance at love story and it reinforced my opinion that Sarina Bowen’s hockey guys are THE BEST!! Silas is one of the sweetest guys EVER. He is not egotistical, self-serving or arrogant, if anything, he’s the complete opposite. I absolutely loved his devotion to Delilah that kicked in from almost the minute they met. It was even sweeter considering their first meeting was before either of them became a sports star or rockstar. It was cute and sweet but unfortunately just not the right time for either of them. Circumstances split them apart and it will be years before they get a chance to see if their initial feelings were worth exploring.
Superfan is the kind of story that leaves me completely satisfied. The storyline kept me captivated from start to finish. The characters were fun, original and completely lovable. The baddie made my skin crawl, and the additional characters were fun and came to life for me. I enjoyed seeing Silas and Delilah connect both in the bedroom and out, and my heart beat that wee bit quicker at their first touch. I was left very happy in the end.
If you’re looking for an entertaining sports romance with lots of heart, a few laughs and plenty of steamy bits, I highly recommend giving Sarina Bowen’s, Bruiser’s a go.
I love a good slow burn romance, especially when there’s a history between the main characters, even if it’s just a missed opportunity or a case of bad timing. Add in the fact that Superfan is the third book in Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn series, and it centers around professional hockey players, Silas and Delilah’s story checks all the boxes for this sports romance lover.
When Silas and Delilah met for the first time, their lives were going in two very different directions, so as much as they wanted to connect, it wasn’t meant to be, so they went their separate ways, achieving all of their respective professional goals, but not truly having a personal life that allowed them to feel completely connected, at least in the way they thought they would with one another.
I loved the interesting way that Bowen has her characters’ reconnect, especially because of the number of people who stepped in to make it all happen, and the insights readers receive into Silas and Delilah’s lives, both when they first met and now, three years later, illustrates exactly the kind of people they are and everything they’ve already endured.
I really liked Delilah as a heroine. The fact that she doesn’t make things difficult for Silas based on his disappearance when they first met speaks volumes about the type of person she is and just how clearly she sees Silas and the amazing person he is. And the fact that she’s a humble rockstar who cares more about other people than herself shows just how perfect she is for a man like Silas.
One of the main ideas/lessons that I took away from Superfan is the importance of following one’s dreams and the need to reach one’s endgame, even if it comes with its difficulties and setbacks. Both Delilah and Silas work their butts off to achieve their goals, which makes their success even sweeter, especially when they find the right person to share it with!
I loved camaraderie between Silas and his teammates and being able to catch up with previous couples from previous books is an aspect of a stand alone series that I love and that’s exactly what Sarina Bowen provides readers with in Silas and Delilah’s story!
4 Poison Apples
Another amazing book to add to your book shelf from Author Sarina Bowen!
Delilah & Silas story was such a fun second chance read!
Plenty of steamy times as well as drama and twists in this story that had me wondering what would happen next.
Very enjoyable read.
Overall I enjoyed seeing all of the characters interactions with other characters in this series and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment.

Whilst Superfan is the sixth title in the Brooklyn Bruisers series, it can easily be read as a standalone. If you’ve read the previous books, many past favourites make a cameo appearance, which I loved.
Superfan is a sports romance featuring a musician singer/songwriter. If you love a Rockstar romance, this might just be the title for you. It’s also a sweet, second chance romance, that is sure to leave you with a smile upon your face.
Silas is such a sweet, kind and swoon worthy hero. Despite the fact that he’s an NHL goalie, his success hasn’t gone to his head and he’s really down to earth.
Delilah is strong, independent and resilient. Despite her success she’s quite vulnerable and insecure when it comes to her own worth.
The interactions between Silas and Delilah are sweet, flirtatious and heart warming. The chemistry they share is undeniable and oozes off the page.
I will be eagerly anticipating the next release in the Brooklyn Bruisers series.
I’ve been eager for Silas’ story since his interest in a certain musician made for a really interesting secondary storyline in Overnight Sensation. I smelled a setup for a second chance romance and, well, that’s my catnip. I’m really glad Sarina didn’t make me wait all that long before giving me Silas and Delilah’s story in Superfan. I needed it and it was 1000% worth the (short) wait.
I enjoyed the backstory between Silas and Delilah. The snippets I got in Overnight Sensation left me with a lot of questions and a burning desire for more. The way this story was structured gave me the glimpse into the past I needed, while giving me the chance to watch these two come back together in the present day. They were the type of couple you just couldn’t help but root for, all the while being just a little sad they didn’t get it right the first time around.
I love love loved Silas. He made it onto my ultimate book boyfriends list for sure. I appreciate a man who doesn’t pull any punches. He knew what he wanted and went after her unapologetically when given a second chance. He wore his heart on his sleeve and that made it all the easier for me to give him mine. I loved Delilah as much as I did Silas. She’d found her way into one hell of a pickle with her career, but she wasn’t going to sit back and be taken advantage of. I enjoyed her spunk and strength. And she and Silas made a fantastic pair. I loved their story.
Favorite Quotes:
Some memories are sweeter if you don’t ruin them by hanging on too tightly.
I’ve never made smart decisions about men in my life, and, apparently, I won’t be starting tonight.

“Kiss me? I’ve been hungry for you all day.”
Silas Kelly sexy goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team meets Delilah Spark, beautiful celebrity singer, again after three years where the timing was not right. She is still in his thoughts, she hasn’t forgotten. Second chance around the chemistry is off the charts, their past will be tough to forget but one they both need to overcome to be together. Superfan is an amazing book to read. The sport romance you want is there, the sexy times are hot and this couple’s story is one you will love. This series just keeps getting better and better. Five top stars!
