But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.

I have to admit I screamed and squealed like a stick pig when I realized exactly who Superfan was about. Call me what you want but I didn’t read the blurb. I just knew I needed to read it. The second I realized…my dog lost her mind. Shrill squeals and high pitched yeses echoed through my house.
Come on! This Twitter flirt was just waiting to be told in full! Witnessing Silas’ crush throughout the series only made this juicier!
Superfan is sexy, sweet and all kinds of perfect. Silas is definitely a catch. Delilah is no diva, she’s the kind of girl you bring home to mom. Or in this case, being mom to her! Superfan is super fun, regardless of my lame pun. (Dr. Suess just groaned at my rhyming.) It seems Brooklyn is adding to their awesome cast of characters, one match at a time.
Sarina has done a brilliant job with Silas and Delilah’s story. She melded 2 tropes brilliantly with the Rockstar and the Athlete. The storyline intrigued me and kept me hooked even though rocker stories aren’t usually my favourite. This one I loved.
Popstar Delilah has a Superfan in the Brooklyn Bruisers Goalie, Silas and she is his. We have been teased with their story in previous books in this series so this book has been highly anticipated. Their chemistry was hot and fiery and their connection was emotional and real. I was highly entertained with their banter and texts. I was rooting for them from the beginning.
I am not usually a fan of flashbacks but in this case Sarina did them well setting the scene for us. They actually felt natural instead of forced. Seeing how these two meet and the obsession started.
Another great read from Sarina
3.5-3.75 stars. This was a pretty good book. Superfan is the third book in the Brooklyn series. This is Silas and Delilah’s book. Silas is one of the goalies for the Brooklyn Bruisers pro hockey team. Before he was called up to a pro hockey team, he met an up-and-coming singer in the bar where he was bartending. Delilah was in town performing for a small music festival, hoping to get a music deal. The two have a fun, flirty banter but it never leads to more because of miscommunication. Now, a few years later, Delilah is a big pop star. Silas plays pro hockey and has crushed on Delilah from afar. One day while watching a rival hockey game on tv, he sees her attending the game as a fan. He tweets her about it and ends up asking her out. When the two meet, Delilah is shocked that Silas is the bartender she never forgot. The two have an immediate connection, but circumstances between them make it hard for a relationship to take off. They are both are dealing with a lot and are long distance, but they manage to finally make things work out between them and get their HEA.
I liked this book, but I did have a few issues with it. The story was cute and interesting. I really liked Silas. He adored Delilah from the minute he met her and never forgot her, following her career from afar. He was such a sweet, fun guy who was all-in with her whenever she gave him any attention. Delilah’s character was a bit trickier and more complicated. She had to learn to stand on her own and be an adult before she could be in a relationship. I felt like she held back from Silas a bit too much. I understood her past, her career, and the long distance made her cautious about getting in a relationship. It was hard to see her hold back for pretty much the whole book when he worshipped her so much. She was too cautious for me to really love her character. It was a little bit hard to believe in Silas and Delilah’s HEA because we don’t get to see them together and happy for very long, except for in the epilogue, which felt a little too late. The actual book never quite got there for me.
Also, I found the book a little heavy. There were little happy times, lots of emotional times and “worried about the future” times. Silas and Delilah deserved some happy together and we don’t often get to see it. Their blossoming romance was overshadowed by long distance, their busy careers, Delilah’s jerky ex who was her music producer, a stalker and more. It was just a lot. Still, I enjoyed the book. Silas was just a doll and his positive energy helped the book so much. I enjoyed that he was down to earth, not egotistical despite that he was a hockey star in his own right. He came off as just a regular, sweet guy. The fantasy of dating a pop star that you have been fangirling (fanguying?) over from afar is such a fun premise.
Overall, I enjoyed this book in general. Silas and Delilah were really good together once they got everything figured out between them. This story was entertaining and I enjoyed catching up with the rest of the couples from the series. I really enjoy this series and look forward to more from Ms. Bowen in the future!
We are huge Sarina Bowen fans on this blog. One or both of us like everything she puts out. This one didn’t pique my interest with the synopsis but it’s Sarina so I dived in anyway. I’m glad I did, this book was great and was a wonderful afternoon read.
The book was on the shorter side, but the flow was good, the heart flutters were on point, and the cast was amazing. The 2nd chance romance between Silas and Delilah was everything you want from a Sarina Bowen book. He was swoony, she was loveable, and together their chemistry made this book.
I was surprised by how much I loved the flashback scenes. Typically those are not my thing in a 2nd chance romance book, these were done phenomenally. There was also a lot of depth that I was not expecting from this story. Props to Sarina for that! The only thing I was meh on was the ending. It felt rushed to me, and I wanted it to play out a bit more. That’s the only reason for my 4-star rating. Here’s hoping for more from this series!!
Superfan by Sarina Bowen is the third book in her Brooklyn series and finally gives us the history between Silas and his love for Delilah Sparks and I loved it! We learned in previous books (though this can be read as a standalone) how much Silas is a superfan of the singer and it was adorable and charming how learn their history.
Three years ago, before either of them were famous, they met at a bar and become friends with an undeniable attraction. I loved their interactions and connection so much. But neither was in a good place and both were trying to figure out their future. Then Silas gets the call he has been waiting for and leaves to follow his dreams, never forgetting the girl he met.
Fast forward three years later and I love how they initially reconnect, but now their lives are complicated and full of obstacles. But Silas is determined to have this second chance with the woman he never forgot! I loved Silas, he was strong, confident and caring. Delilah, though finally reaching her dreams, was a bit lost, but I loved seeing her confidence and strength show as she began fighting for what she wanted. Superfan by Sarina Bowen is my favorite of the series so far. The second chance romance was emotional, heartwarming and everything nice!

Happy reading!
You guys – if you’re looking to fall in love with a hero who is strong, sensitive, and unfailingly kind (but y’know, still sexy as all getout?). MEET SILAS KELLY.
This man is impossible not to love. He’s everything. He’s amazing. And he’s currently ruling my heart.
But beyond Silas (if I can tear my mind from him for a moment): this was just a super sweet, super satisfying romance. Bonus: there’s a little thread of mystery/suspense thrown in. There’s a bad guy who is the baddest of guys. There’s a wedding that filled me with all sorts of squees. There’s the signature bromantic banter that Sarina Bowen excels at. And, most importantly, there is this adorable, slow burning second chance romance that set my heart aflutter and made me so so happy.
It’s another smartly written, compelling Sarina Bowen hit for me! This series has been such a treat and – as always – I cannot wait to see what is in store for us next!
There are certain authors out there who are synonymous with “good read” because they can consistently deliver a fun and dynamic story with characters you love. Bowen gives us two characters who connected back before they made a name before themselves, a.k.a., got famous. But timing was against them. We unfold their story with jumps between the present and the past to see how they originally met, see their sizzling connection, and watch as they find their way back to each other.
Silas, who also goes by Ralph (great story to that one), is by far my favorite. He’s a solid man without the cockiness (even though he could certainly carry it!), loyalty deeper than the sea, and a heart that only beats for one woman: Delilah. Silas is such a steadfast rock, something Delilah needs but is afraid to need. But seeing them come together when the timing was actually right for them was so exciting. He’s such a big fan of hers, proud of what she does, but truly a fan of the woman. His genuine demeanor is what spoke so deeply to me.
Bowen’s writing is always superb. She gives us a fast-paced and well-developed story with characters you can’t help but love!
4.25 Stars!
OMG, Silas has got to be one of my favorite of Sarina’s guys! He was dreamy and the perfect book boyfriend. Unfortunately, it took me a long time to warm up to Delilah, who, frankly, I wanted to slap more than once. She was so intent on keeping Ralph (Silas) at arm’s length despite being into him and then she just falls into a relationship with creepier than creep Brett because Ralph stood her up once and with good reason and her wanting a record deal? Never mind being stupid enough to keep giving Brett the time of day after how he treated her during their 3-year relationship, and still keeping Silas at arm’s length and not wanting to lose her independence or whatever. Grrrrrr!!! Okay, so I will admit that they had chemistry and the bed scenes were passionate and hot, but really, I wanted more from Delilah.
I loved the wedding we got in this book, it was a long time coming and it was amazing to see how Silas’s teammates and their wives and girlfriends rallied to help him when he and Delilah needed them. It’s one of my favorite things in this series, the camaraderie between the guys in the team.
Despite me wanting to strangle Delilah with her guitar strings, it was a really good read. Entertaining, fun, a bit angsty and with some suspense. Definitely a good addition to the series and one you shouldn’t miss.

This is the second book I’ve read in this series, and I really love all the characters. I remember Silas and his Delilah obsession, but when we get the whole story in this book, it makes a lot more sense, and doesn’t seem as bad as you originally think.
Silas is so sweet. What a gentleman, a true, caring and compassionate man. I loved every bit of getting to know him, and seeing how he was with Delilah. And Delilah herself is really cool too, even if a little naive at times. Only with some things though, with others she’s very cynical. There are many layers to these characters and discovering them throughout the book was great.
Our secondary characters consist of our faves from the Brooklyn Bruisers, who we’ve met previously. These guys and gals are lots of fun to be around and I really love their scenes and their family bond and friendship.
We also get some new characters who of course are from Delilah’s side of things. There are some good and bad ones in this mix, and let me tell you, I really really did not like the bad ones. Others I was unsure about and it wasn’t until the end that I really worked out which of my suspicions were completely founded and which weren’t.
This was a great read and I look forward to more of this series in the future. Would recommend.

Silas Kelly is a gorgeous 25 yr. old professional athlete from Northern California who is the goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team. He has a fabulous career, and wonderful friends, but hasn’t found that special someone, unless you count the one that got away. Delilah Spark is still the face that fills his dreams, and his friends enjoy kidding him about his healthy obsession with her. They met three years ago at a low point in both their lives. The timing was bad, and a misunderstanding and obstacles keep them apart. Now it seems fate is giving him a do over when Delilah turns up again in his life. She’s still just as devastatingly beautiful, and he wants another chance to get things right.
Delilah Spark is a famous celebrity singer/songwriter. Her music career is soaring, but her love life is imploding. After her jerk of an ex treated her so horrible, she decides she needs a break from men. Then she crosses paths with a man from her past she’s never forgotten. She still remembers their connection and the way he made her feel. He was always such a great guy, and the magnetic energy between them still sizzles. Now he’s also a hot hockey player she can’t resist. As passion ignites between them, will others try to tear them apart?
Superfan (Brooklyn, #3) by Sarina Bowen is a fantastic second chance, rock star/sports romance. It’s my first in this series, and I just loved it! It’s one of my favorites by this author. It’s such a cute, fun story full of flirty banter, sexy swoony hockey players, and red hot chemistry!

When they met, she was a struggling musician working her tail off to get her big break. He was tending bar trying to figure out his plan B after disappointment. They didn’t exchange numbers and she didn’t even know his real name. When he had to leave suddenly, there was no way to get word to her. She thought she had been stood up, and there was no one to correct that thinking.
Silas Kelly has taken a lot of flack from his teammates for his interest in Delilah Spark, but they don’t understand that she’s the one that got away for him. They both found the breaks they were looking for, but when she is caught on camera at a hockey game, he finds a way to make contact again. Though she doesn’t know who he is, her ex does and he isn’t a fan of Silas.
This started out as a cute, fun second chance romance, but quickly turned into more. I loved watching Delilah and Silas reconnect and rekindle what had been developing between them when they met. But this quickly became more than just the two of them as the story went deeper into Delilah’s career and the struggles she faced in her music.
I love returning to the Brooklyn Bruisers world. This team has a great camaraderie, and every player’s story builds their friendships further. This is a great combination of hockey and rockstar romance, with issues that pop up in each subgenre and keep things interesting.
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Yet another wonderful addition to the Brooklyn Bruisers series, Superfan is a unique twist just as to who is acting the part of the mooning fan. Usually the focus is on the hockey player but in this case it’s Bruisers’ back up goalie who is doing the crushing. In one of the best Twitter flirts during a hockey game, Silas manages to attract the attention of rising pop star Delilah Sparks.
Delilah Spark and “Ralph” Silas Kelly once shared a budding attraction to each other but life had other plans for both of them, good plans, as each make their ways in their careers. Delilah’s is fraught with behind the scenes drama as a few bad choices make up a huge part of this story. It’s what brings them together but also has the potential to stop the momentum of their relationship.
This story is one of second chances and finding faith in oneself and each other. I found Silas and Delilah simply delightful. Silas is adorably adoring of Delilah, and when they do find each other again, he has some explaining to do. But once they find each other again, their connection is breathtaking and sexy. Everything about their relationship is fast tracked as they face competing career needs.
Too trusting Delilah has a bad record deal with a beyond shady ex in Brett Ferris. Everything about him screams bad news. His deception and greed knows no bounds, and threatens more than Delilah’s career. There’s an element of suspense as Delilah has a stalker that makes a bodyguard necessary. He doesn’t seem particularly trustworthy as it appears his motivations may be questionable, but all will be revealed. And Brett, well his history with Silas creates an interesting air of mystery. All in all a great and fast paced read, one I wholeheartedly recommend.

Diving into Bowen’s reads is always a treat. Whatever the offering, her characters are unique, their stories interesting and the lifelike banter is sure to draw you in from the word go. To my surprise, this engaging stand-alone in the Brooklyn Bruisers world doesn’t just revolve around sport, but also music. Rock star sub-genre isn’t really my cuppa; however, Superfan has been written in such a way that my opinion quickly changed. The detail is without a doubt, well-researched and as I had no idea to what extent a musician’s representative/record company has over their artists, I was quite taken aback.
“I need you to be less trusting. Don’t trust anyone on your payroll. Don’t trust strangers who offer you candy. Don’t trust men who want to get in your pants. Or women, if you swing that way.”
This second chance romance was right up my alley! I have to admit that the angst in the last quarter of the story wound me up so much that I found myself rereading certain passages which I’d read too quickly. I loved the hockey team camaraderie, the ribbing and encouragement Silas Kelly’s friends gave him. You see, from the moment he’d set his eyes on Delilah Spark, he was smitten but as luck would have it, they’d lost contact. When the occasion arose, all he needed was a nudge in the right direction. Mind you, there’s nothing subtle about how his mates played him but laugh-out-loud, I did.
‘I’m used to taking a lot of flak for my obsession with Delilah Spark, even if my interest in her is slightly less pathetic than everyone assumes.’
Kind eyes, a good friend to his friends and a heart of gold, Sillas is a smashing person. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body; however, something he’s not at all proud of happened years back and he’s kept it to himself ever since. Funnily enough, it involved a certain individual who’s out to make his and Delilah’s life difficult. Blinkin’ heck…there are quite a few serious moments when I even considered doing some Kindle bashing! But I love my Kindle, so I called him all the names under the sun instead! It wasn’t enough that tight schedules or the long-distance between them hindered their growing relationship, they also had to contend with this moron.
‘And this ordinary girl does not have the courage to up and move thousands of miles across the country to ask a man to love her. Even a man as great as Silas.’
There’s nothing pretentious about Delilah. She’s a really lovely gal trying to move past bad decisions, and coming to terms with her weasel of an ex-boyfriend’s actions isn’t easy. She’d trusted the wrong person and that’s made her very wary of everyone except her personal assistant. For someone who’s a rising star, one would think her lack of self-confidence a tad strange but I found her stance regarding stardom totally understandable. All she wants to do is write songs and sing them.
‘It’s been way too easy to find our rhythm. And I don’t ever want the song to end.’
Delilah’s personal problems are handled by Silas with so much consideration that my heart melted. Together they are sweet, loving and in one exotic scenario…goodness me, I was left smiling from ear to ear. Not only was it great catching up with all the guys and gals from previous books in this series, but a new character literally bowled me over. Kickass, dry wit and totally professional, their solid advice to Delilah was more than spot on. Having sussed out who was behind cruel deeds before the ending didn’t spoil my reading enjoyment in the slightest, and I can’t recommend Superfan enough. Bravo Ms Bowen!
This is book #3, in the Brooklyn Bruisers series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading the series in order.
Silas left the only woman who truly interests him behind. To chase a dream that has become more than a reality. Now he must find out if there is still a spark. He has to see her.
Delilah has always wished she had that night with Silas AKA “Ralph” years ago. Is it tempting fate to try now? The heat between them is obvious, but can they get beyond the past and create what could be a future?
This was such an amazing story. From start to finish I could not put this book down. Very hot and really good, the characters keep you mesmerized until all of a sudden your at the last page. Well worth the wait.

Oh, Silas Kelly. Three years ago, he was just a guy who met a a girl while working as a bartender, but they were both at a crossroads and their timing was off. And due to circumstances, he had no way of getting in touch with her. But he is now living his dream as the goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers.
Delilah Spark was just a struggling musician then with a controlling manager. Now she is a superstar with an overbearing ex who does not want to lose that control.
It is not a well kept secret in his circle that Silas is a big fan of hers even if they did not know the extent of it. And when she is spotted on the screen during a play off game, social media provides a way to make contact.
He has some confessions to make, but their chemistry and camaraderie is still there. But their lives are still moving in different directions. They both have demanding careers, erratic schedules, and they live on opposite sides of the country. And she is dealing with some situations that are not easily fixed, and his presence in some ways make it better and in other ways make it worse.
This is a sweet, swoony, sexy, hockey, rock star, second-chance love story with a bit of suspense. It is told in dual points of view and I adored both of these characters. They are just so fun and adorable together. Silas is truly a good, caring, and sweet guy that knows what he wants. Delilah is more guarded (for good reason) and has more issues, but I loved how Silas supported her. Their banter, chemistry, and comfort level seeing the real person and not the celebrity facade made them such a great match.
This book sucked me in and I read it in one sitting. The dynamics between him and all his friends add humor, and I loved seeing more with some recent couples and old friends. This group is truly an extended family, and that is something that Delilah really needs as well. I have really enjoyed the Brooklyn Bruisers books and wonder if we will see any more from this series.
I love love love the Brooklyn Bruisers series, and I was absolutely thrilled to get an early copy of Superfan.
If you have read the previous books in this series, you will remeber Silas and how all the other Bruisers guys tease our goalie mercilessly about being Delilah Spark’s superfan
But boy was there more to that story than we knew – I was delightfully surprised as to how their story began.
Silas and Delilah’s story is at times fun and flirty, and at times sad and a little heartbreaking. Both have moved onwards and upwards in their careers, however neither have been really fulfilled emotionally.
I loved getting more of those Brooklyn guys and their gals, and I love how they have become more of a family than blood.
I laughed out loud at times, particularly with the Bruisers family – oh how I love them all.
There were characters that I was unsure of for a while, who I was not sure if I should trust or not. Oh, and there were also some that I didn’t just hate – I loved hating them, and they deserved every sh!t thing that was tossed their way haha
The things that I like about series about hockey players – there are always trades, there are always retirements, there are always changes in the team. And that means that Ms Bowen has to keep writing these books to infinity and beyond for me – yay!!!
I can’t wait to see where we are taken next.
Superfan by Sarina Bowen
4.5*
When you start a book and can’t stop the smile from forming within the first few pages, you know you’re onto a good thing. That was the case with me and Superfan and the smile did not abate throughout.
Superfan is Silas’s book and if you’ve read previous books in this series, you’ll know he has a bit of an obsession with a certain singer named Delilah Sparks. Well in Superfan we find out how and why that obsession came about and it. is. swoonworthy!
Delilah and Silas many several years ago when she was an unknown in town for a music festival and Silas was a bartender in said town who had missed out on his golden opportunity. They build a friendship of sorts but before anything more can become of it, Silas disappears. There is a bit of back and forth, then and now, in this book but it was far from confusing – in fact, the flashbacks only served to enhance their romance.
This was a really lovely second-chance romance with some killer banter and a wee bit of suspense/drama thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed the organic way the relationship between Silas and Delilah grew and frankly, I could have kept on reading their story. I particularly loved the appearances from the Bruiser family and sincerely hope there’ll be more of them soon!

Superfan was the blending of so many of my favorite tropes – second chance romance, sports, rock star, and even a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure. I couldn’t wait to find out more about good guy Silas and what his story was with Delilah Spark. This is part of the Brooklyn Bruisers series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone. I do recommend reading the previous books, however, because they’re awesome and also because characters from those books do appear throughout the series.
Silas was just as wonderful as I thought he would be and more. He was sweet and thoughtful, but also assertive when he needed/wanted to be. There was a gentleness and vulnerability to him that I found so endearing, but what I really loved was how well he listened and how patient he was. Yes, there were times he was unsure and nervous, but he was confident enough to give Delilah the control and independence she so desperately needed. I loved that he was all in from the very start and that devotion never wavered.
It took a bit for Delilah to grow on me, but I really felt like she had the biggest transformation in the book. She matured so much and went from a naive and somewhat helpless young woman to a more independent and confident one. I really enjoyed seeing her come into her own and take control of her life. She did make some questionable decisions, but I felt like by the end she was working to make better choices in the future.
Delilah and Silas were adorkably sweet, but also very sexy. I would have loved to have more history between them though to warrant the Delilah obsession by Silas. They certainly had chemistry, but I’m not the biggest fan of instalove and this seemed to go from zero to sixty in record time. I understand that their relationship was never going to follow a conventional timeline, but I still would have liked to see and feel them reconnect more after so many years apart. I’m also not entirely sure why Silas never reached out to Delilah in all that time, considering how they had left things. The drama with Brett and the suspenseful aspect of the story didn’t entirely work for me and the resolution to it was a bit abrupt and almost too neatly tied together. I did love seeing all the Bruisers again though and that they played such a big role in setting things in motion. The nuptials that take place in the book had me squealing (I will NEVER tire of that couple!) and were such a treat! The epilogue left me with a huge smile on my face and it was the perfect way to bring Silas and Delilah’s story full circle. A wonderful addition to the series!
