When your living room window starts giving you visions of the future… you better pay attention.
Chloe Blake’s campus rental has it all: a retro Victorian vibe, a beautiful picture window, and a perfect view of Ethan Reynolds—the guy who broke her heart and lives across the street. But when disturbing visions of death slide across the panes, she’s convinced she’s glimpsed Ethan’s future. She’ll … she’s glimpsed Ethan’s future. She’ll stop at nothing to change fate and save him… even if it means everyone thinks she’s crazy.
Then, one by one, others appear at the house, drawn by an ancient power to seek out the powerful talismans hidden in the attic. Together, they must discover the house’s secrets and unlock their hidden powers to take down the shadowy specter that haunts their premonitions and leaves chaos in its wake.
And soon, they learn it’s not only about saving Ethan.
It’s about saving EVERYONE.

I love this author’s paranormal reads she just makes it all work. Off to a new year at college and living off campus 2 friends discover something amazing. Well it happens to one but the best bud has to help figure it all out right. I mean I love this girl, she is the best best friend EVER. She doesn’t think her friend is strange she just works with her to make everything work out. And work out it does. Friendships are restored into more. New friends are found. An enemy is discovered though and it’s gonna take more than one book to defeat her. Something is happening and they seem to be gearing up for something big. This is bigger than they ever imagined and the strange things happening are getting stranger. There isn’t a cliff hanger so to speak but it is clear these will need to be read in order. That’s fine with me I plan on hanging in for the long haul.
This book was not something I expected. I’m used to reading stories about super heroes and they are always over the top. This one wasn’t. It’s book where we meet two super humans and their friends. It’s a slow read but satisfying. I was highly impressed with the details and with how they find each other. There are multiple of views and they flow very nicely so it’s an easy read. Due to some language, I’d say it’s for 18+. If you like super powers and heroes, this book is for you. Good luck in saving the world with Chloe.
5 Cranky Stars
Another 5-star read if you’re the right person. You must believe in the supernatural and clairvoyance. It is well written and enjoyable. The story takes place around Washington University. College kids always seem to have all the fun.
Chloe and Miranda lived in the dorms last year. This year they want to try living off campus while in school. They found what looks to be a wonderful old Victorian with lots of rooms and cheap rent. They were thrilled to have found it. The landlord is young, good looking and pleasant. Then they find out they will be alone in this old, three story mansion.
Across the street is a frat house. They see Chloe’s old boyfriend is living there. He is the last person they want to see. Chloe has “second sight” and her premonitions caused Ethan’s parents to forbid him to see her. So, here they are in this old house across from where Ethan lives. If that isn’t bad enough, Chloe is seeing strange things in the huge picture window. As the visions in the window become more frequent, their lives are thrown into chaos. Especially scary is the vision of Ethan dying in a bad car accident. Can Chloe prevent her visions from coming true or will things just continue to worsen? Second book in series will hopefully explain what is happening more fully.
Chloe is weird, so is her friend. Chloe sees things, past, present, and future. Future id a possible, it can be changed if the choices are made correctly.
Good safe reading for young minds who like their heroes on the mortal side with special mental abilities. No sex, violence is more along the lines of fist fighting.
Out of the ordinary.
Just a touch juvenile for me. Good for middle- to high-school students.
Gets better as the series goes on. First book is introducing characters but is still good
A good read (Fantasy)
A new year in college and Chloe and Miranda had taken up an old Victorian house.
Even before Chloe had a strong intuition and house just seems to make her power stronger. She begins to see visions inside the house and that connects her to her childhood friend and one more person with special abilities.
The story has been set in this strong premise as it develops bringing in the other elements.
Overall the element of the unknown and the danger is felt throughout. But what I enjoyed was how the supernatural elements were weaved with the ordinary daily school life. Liked the story.
This first-in-series really makes me want to read more! It drew me right in from page one, and now I’m fully invested in the fates of Chloe and her friends. Looking forward to finding out more about Beck and whoever else is going to join the team – can’t wait to see how the tale continues!
From the first chapter to the last you are witness to an extraordinary group of people as they discover their super abilities. I quite enjoyed how the characters reacted to not-so-normal situations with super people… only to discover that they themselves also have a super power. The author did an excellent job of keeping me on my toes. Whenever I thought I knew what was going to happen, BAM, an unexpected but highly rewarding twist! I’m itching to dive into the next book in the series! And I’m left wondering if I might have a super ability too!
I really enjoyed this book, it grabbed me from the beginning and the characters are amazing. That being said, I did feel like it didn’t go quite as far as I was expecting. It was however the perfect length for this story. I love where this series is headed and I’m looking forward to book 2 in this series.
What a great way to start a new series. Ms. Franklin always has a way of surprising me and creating a journey that I never expect. I love that she not only has the the characters face the extraordinary world but their every day lives as well. I can’t wait for what’s next!
She loves the new house she is now in as it has everything she wants even a window where she can see him her lost love. The house has secrets and another is having visions of the house so they come to find it. The house has many secrets and they need to work together to find out. See what will happen

Wow! A real page turning with supernatural elements and clean romance.
This was a great read! I really enjoyed how the author’s descriptions and dialogues made for realistic scenes where I almost could see and feel the same thing the two best friends did. This book included a clean romance with another one pending. A surprise ending left me turning the page not really expecting it. I can’t wait to learn more about what happens next for these college students.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down and when I HAD to, I still thought of what was happening and wondering what would happen next. I couldn’t wait to find out what was in the chest… And finding out answers to some of the questions that come up. You will be dying to know!!!
A lot is going on around Miranda and Chloe. Chloe seeing visions and Miranda helping her. It is nice to have a BFF that is not embarrassed to be seen with you when thing get weird. Someone to help make you feel less embarrassed. They add Ethan and then Wren. They are picking up people and bringing them all together. It looks like a black mass of smoke. Well I hope they understand it soon and how many books will it take? Very exciting story and we will see how the plot goes. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Maybe because it was the started book but I felt all I got out of it was there were these characters who are going to do some good in the world but I don’t know what. I was waiting for some kind of end to the story but it continues on to another book and I want at least an end to the current story. Disappointed.
I have really liked this book, but a couple of things really drove me crazy. There are no four door Mustangs, they are all two door. The other thing is a football touchdown is worth 6 points. In the game, the team was down by three, made a touchdown and won the game by two. I know these are picky, but these are easily Googled. To me it’s as glaring as a typo.
