4.5 ‘MR. WONKA AND HIS NAUGHTY NEIGHBOR’ STARS!!
Sundays Are For Hangovers was a quick, hilariously witty, sexy, and sweet read that captured me from the beginning. This was my first read by this collaboration of authors and let me just say it was freaking hilarious! JD Hollyfield and K. Webster had me laughing-out-loud at all the right moments.
The whole dynamic of Will and Lilith’s relationship was pretty epic. Will was uptight and guarded. Lilith was free spirited and a loose cannon. And these two hated each other and I do mean hate! There were moments I thought they would even kill each other lol. Yet it was so much fun and freaking hot as heck watching these two clash like a turbulent storm and finally let their attraction do the talking. Once they’re finally together, craziness ensues! Their relationship was at times intense, but at the end of the day they just made sense. They balanced one another, like ying and yang.
I really enjoyed this book so much and I can’t wait to devour all the books these two authors co-write together! Their stories will be so fun to read, just like Sundays Are For Hangovers! JD Hollyfield and K. Webster make the perfect team!!
We’ve all been there…living in a neighborhood. Pride of ownership shines with our house. Yet there is always that one house that…not so much pride shines on it. Even worse yet, the house is right smack dab next door to your house!!!
You’ve got the hard-working accountant…8-5 Monday through Friday. Drives the Hybrid car…Runs 2 times a day just to keep his figure. Weekends are for working in the yard to ensure the ‘yard of the month’ sign remains right where it should be.
Not to say he’s been like this his whole life…He’s had a troubled past.
Next door we have the beautiful, hot body, messy bun, morning co-host of the local radio station. She loves her job, parties with the discounted taco’s and drinks. Pretty much the gal everyone loves to hang with.
Not to say she’s been like this her whole life…She’s got a past too.
Will the two pasts come back to bite these two and cause even more trouble on the street? More eggs needed? Perhaps more plastic forks? Booze bottles not left in the proper recyclable container shaped in a what!!!
Give it a shot and read this one. Next time you are wanting to get back at someone, there are plenty of ideas you can use

This was a funny read! All the crazy stuff Lilith did throughout the book was so over the top. Will and Lilith were perfect for each other. They both brought out the best and worst of each other.
Will was super strict about how he wanted his life to be because of his past. And Lilith was super carefree about the way she lived her life because of how she was raised.
They both were night and day but they both were just what they needed in their life. They balanced each other perfectly.
This book reminded me a lot of The Consequence of Loving Colton! With all the crazy stuff Lilith did to Will.
I’m not going to lie…. it did at times seem to go a little overboard with all the stuff Lilith kept doing. She just went too far. But the majority of all her antics kept me laughing!
I absolutely loved how Will would blow up and just let out all his aggravation & aggression out on Lilith during their sex! Man… Will loved his wall sex!!! He did just the right amount of everything! I liked that a lot!
As I read on I was really struggling with Lilith character. The way she was with her parents… was hard to read. But I absolutely hated how she just didn’t put up a fight for herself or for Will. She would let her dad influence her and just blow up without talking first.
One argument in this book had me boiling. What Lilith did to Will I felt was so unacceptable. She never apologize for what she did to.
Lilith kept hitting Will during an argument . I lost all respect for her. Yes you can be mad. Hitting is never the answer. And I could tolerate a slap. But to just hit without explaining why….Was wrong. And to keep doing it was horrible. I know she wouldn’t like to be slapped at and to be swung at by anybody especially a man! Because a man hitting a woman is so much worse in everybody’s eyes. She shouldn’t have done that. It goes both ways.
Will was a good guy. He never once hit her back and he never took it out on her. But I really hated that part in this book.
Once we move on from that part in the book it was ok. Will fought for Lilith even when she was being a butthead about things.
Overall this was a good read. It was funny and light. And I’m glad I took a chance on it.

This is a wonderfully written book. I enjoyed smiling and chuckling at some of the antics that for down. Lilith is a crazy girl who loves life. Will is the nerdy banker who is a little obsessive….about his lawn among other things.
I love Will! Or maybe I should say this author. I can really *feel* Will as he is falling in love with Lilith. The little smiles, the twinkles in the eyes all go towards giving me all the feels for these two characters. Even those nicknames she uses on him. *sigh* so sweet!
As secondary characters go Daryl was a fav. He was always up for whatever Lil could come up with and he definitely didn’t mind poking the bear. Her parents….well…her mother is nice but her father is a jerk face. His actions at the ending just didn’t make sense to me. But the Epilogue was very very cute!
This is my first book by these two authors. The story moves right along and is fun. The characters are a bit zany and I could understand some of those misunderstandings. I thought this would make a great audio book but I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere. Enjoy some fun times with your kindle and pick this up.
I loved this sweet, funny, quirky, and hot little rom-com. Will and Lil were so different but so perfect for one another. Big D was great and I would love to read more about him and his girlfriend Majick. This was a perfect little pick-me-up between the horror, true crime, and dark books that I normally read. I would definitely recommend.
I’m a huge fan of enemies-to-lovers stories. The fighting seems to serve as verbal foreplay and I love it!
In the year they’ve been not-so-friendly neighbors, straight-laced Will and wild child Lilith have pranked one another to the point of insanity. But that doesn’t keep them from noticing how hot the other is.
Lots of laughs, plus plenty of emotional depth. Secondary characters add substance and humor. Definitely recommend this well-paced, well-written story.
I read this book is 2 days (because you know life and all that jazz gets in the way..lol) This is the best neighbors/enemy to lovers book I have read.
This is the first book of this author duo’s that I have read and I loved it! The comedy they have in this book is awesome, and it mixes perfectly with the romance that they have between the neighbors! I will be going back to read the rest of this amazing duo’s books in the very near future!
I had such a fun time reading this book. Sundays are for Hangovers just reached in and stole all my attention (sorry laundry!). The enemies-to-lovers trope is not usually my favorite, but Will and Lilith worked it with their fantastic chemistry. Even though some of their antics/pranks felt over the top, it didn’t detract from my enjoyment.
Will had some serious OCD-like tendencies while Lilith felt so messy in comparison, yet strangely they meshed well together. Their chemistry was legit off the charts and the smexy times were well written.
Not gonna lie, I have a teeny tiny crush on Will. I can’t not love a man who rocks a bow tie and nerd glasses. Not to mention possessive and protective? Swoon.
What a fun and smoking hot book!!
4 1/2 out of 5 stars
I love this writing duo. They do rom-com so well. This story had me laughing out loud from the beginning, but it also made me feel other emotions as well.
Will and Lilith don’t just dislike each other in the beginning, they DESPISE each other. The levels they go to to prove their dislike are hilarious and hard to imagine. But when that hate changes to love, Will doesn’t have the power to stop the new emotions anymore than he did the old. Their radio show dialogs are probably some of my favorites, but the whole book just was great.
It’s hard to write a great review without giving away too much of the story because one of the greatest comedies is that as it’s happening, you’re right there. So much of the story would be lost if you have advanced knowledge so I’ll just leave it at this::: EVERYONE should read this book!!
*** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***
A great romantic comedy, enemies to lovers! I was laughing on page one and was hooked. I kept reading and before I knew it I was almost halfway done already. It sucked me in.
Will is a nerdy perfectionist. Lil is a spunky, live by the moment kind of girl. These two drive each other crazy and it’s hilarious. Lil cracked me up through most the book. Definitely a fun read and I really enjoyed it!
Remember back in the day how popular RL Mathewson’s Neighbors From Hell books were? This book is like that, only a million times better. Any issues with over the top things from the NFH books was missing in this. Yes, there were still pranks, and bickering and snarky conversations but this book was perfection. *disclaimer* Not to say that the NFH books weren’t perfection to some, but while I really loved some, and enjoyed the series overall, I ALWAYS found an issue with them that annoyed me.*
Anyway, I loved watching Lilith and William fight and slowly fall for each other. They had me laughing and crying (from laughing so hard)! I loved how well they got along, once they REALLY started spending time together and not jut to annoy each other. They were perfectly matched opposites. Even when the sweetest gesture went horribly wrong (aka setting the kitchen on fire), it was a joy to read.
One of the bet parts was when William went away for a few days and asked Lilith to watch his cat…lets just say: THERE SHOULD NEVER BE ELECTRIC TOOLS NEAR YOUR VAGINA WHILE INEBRIATED. And no, in this case, a vibrator is NOT considered an electric tool. However, the scene was HILARIOUS. Seriously, this one of those crying tears of laughter moments.
I’m picky when it comes to nicknames in books but this one was done well. Lilith started off calling William variations of Willy Wonka; while he started off calling her Demon. Obviously they originated in irritation and as a way to get a dig in, but I loved seeing how it went from a insult to a term of endearment. It was sweet. And speaking of Wanka, I loved how William called in to her radio show. This book was just all around awesome. I can’t sing it’s praises enough!
Sundays are for Hangovers by K Webster and J.D. Hollyfield is the story of Lilith and Will.
Lilith and Will are neighbors and total opposite attitudes. Lilith moved into the neighborhood about a year ago and since then has been the pain in the a$$ to Will. Will has OCD issues, makes plans and tries to keep everything clean/Perfect. Will did have a long-term girlfriend and he had a five year plan for them before going further but she ended up breaking up with him three years into…that was two years ago. Now he just works, obsesses with order and his archenemy…his neighbor. The one love in his life is his funny grandma who wants him to be happy and marry along with giving her Great Grand-babies.
Lilith parents are high strung, rich and have a life plan for her to live. They want her to marry their best-friends Son and work within the company. But Lilith was able to convince her father to give her a year break to do what she wanted to get it out of her system. Now her year is up and she is finding she doesn’t want to go back. Lilith life right now is fun, free and she does work as a DJ…a job she loves. The only downfall is the neighbor next door, Will. Lilith has tried to be friends with him but he is to up-type and sees her as just as nuisance. But the one thing they both have in common is their hot attraction to each other that they both try to avoid…until they can’t!
This was such a funny, hot and page turner read….just loved it! I hope to read more books from both of the authors!!
Sundays are for Hangovers by K Webster and J.D. Hollyfield which tells the romance of Lilith and Will. This is one of the best reads of 2018 and we are only in May. This is an enemies to lovers story—and what a sexy, steamy, FUNNY enemies to lovers read it is. They are warring neighbors who can’t seem to stand each other. In one house you have the hard working, nerdy yet sexy, intelligent accountant and in the other house , his neighbor Lilith who is sweet, sassy, hot body, morning co-host of the local radio station. Will loves to keep his house very clean and his yard done right while Lil is all about parties, sun tanning and tacos. OH get ready for fireworks. Lilith and Will hate each other. Its more of a love hate type of relationship. There is a very thin line between love and hate and this book shows what that is like. Will and Lil put on a great show that is steamy, sizzling, outrageously funny, and very much original. I am going to tell you the stunts that they both pull on each other I have never heard of so its very much original. As we get into the story, we learn that Lil isn’t all parties and playtime. She has issues that derive from her past. She is trying to break free from her family and make it on her own. Her story is really touching and shows that her sassiness is something to be giving her kudos over, not yelling at her about. Then Will is a man who is tormented by something in his past, something heartbreaking and painful. Will is an obsessive man and who is today is something that he has come out of the ashes from. There is a very good reason he is so obsessive and when you read why, you will want to hug him tight and will completely understand him a lot better. Will and Lil’s chemistry is off the charts intense. Lil is just the woman who knows what buttons to push with Will, just as he is the right man who knows how to get Lil’s attention. All I can say is this is one story that you don’t want to miss from the powerhouse author team of K Webster and J.D. Hollyfield.
My Rating: 4.8 stars ****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me.”
Very, very hot and very, very funny
These are both brand new authors to me, but with enemies to lovers as one of my favorite tropes, and being a fan of rom-coms in general, I thought this would be a great introduction.
Will is a control-freak bank auditor while Lilith is a chaos loving DJ living next door to each. To say their personalities clash is an understatement but even while they’re hating neither can deny the fire that results from their physical chemistry. As opposite as they appear to be on the surface, they actually have more in common than either imagines, as both Lilith and Will have pasts that they’re trying to get away from, if for very different reasons.
Watching people find common ground is one of the reasons I enjoy this trope (well, and all that passion translating into heat in the bedroom, lol), and I really enjoyed watching this relationship develop. There are some great secondary characters here as well, and the plot has more conflict than just what’s happening between Will and Lilith, which adds some nice layers to the storytelling.
Very, very hot and very, very funny with plenty of conflict to keep things interesting, this was a fast, entertaining read for me, and I’ll be trying more stories from these authors both together and individually. 4.5 stars

Unputdownable hilarious fun read!
The trials and tribulations of having neighbors you hate take on a whole new perspective with this read!!
This enemies to lovers rom/com was absolutely delicious! Heartfelt, hilarious and a little twisted with some aww moments, the story of next door neighbors Lilith and Will couldn’t have been more perfect for Sunday reading!
They are complete opposites. They hate each other, but the more they hate each other the more they fantasize about one another.
Oh what fantasies they have!!
Well written and well paced, the banter and chemistry between Will and Lilith was sharp, clever and hysterical funny!
I need to move to a different neighborhood!
These two authors together are normally a trip and really funny but in writing together they gives us the same craziness. This book was so funny and super enjoyable. Its HOT and STEAMY too.
Its a story about two totally different neighbors that are so sexually attracted to each other, that they hate each other. Soon they cant keep away. They both realize how much they need each other.
Its a perfect enemies to lovers story.
Sundays are for Hangovers is a heart-warming and absolutely sexy story about a voluptuous DJ for a radio station and her nerdy but sinfully hot neighbor..
A light but absolutely fun read that you will enjoy. I loved their chemistry, and the fact that they burn up the pages. The supporting characters are amazing as well. Their story contains the perfect amount of heat, fun, conflict, and everything in between. Reading it made me feel light hearted and I absolutely enjoyed their story.
Lilith and Will were exactly what the other needed. As opposite as they are to each other, they also filled the other’s void, which I absolutely adored. Will can be a “tad” bit OCD and Lilith is more of a happy go lucky, stop over-thinking kinda girl.
Imagine how she rubbed him the wrong way?
Or was it really just the wrong location?
The chemistry of these two were seriously out-of-this world. Lily’s personality was the perfect one to bring out Will’s and my girl is not afraid to show it.
Plus, nerdy guy with a dirty-as-sin mouth, count me in!
This story was pure fun, comedy and chaos. I enjoyed Will and Lilith so much. There are so many wacky details in this story that had me laughing out loud. There was so much sexual tension, hot chemistry and hilarious banter. That is a winning recipe for me! It was so descriptive that I could clearly see all of the people and places as if I was watching it in a movie. I can’t help but love a guy with glasses. I loved everything about this story right down to the chapter names. I need MORE of these stories!!! I’m still giddy just sitting here thinking about it, wishing I could read it all over!
K. Webster and JD Hollyfield are an amazing writing duo! I absolutely loved their 2 Lovers series and was very excited to read their next co-writing project, Sundays are for Hangovers, an enemies to lovers story.
I loved Will and Lilith and all their back-and-forth and supposed animosity that hid the hots they felt for each other. They have been neighbors who do not like each other and make it well known but when things finally explode between them, there is not more hiding!
After reading the 2 Lovers series by this writing duo, I knew I would not be disappointed by their next work and I was anything but! I loved this funny and sexy story full of chemistry and great banter. There was drama and sexy times and all of it gave us a captivating story.
