Over a decade of friendship. Then over a decade apart. Can they overcome their hardships, get past secrets, and come together to create a future?
This is book 1 in the Blue Bay Beach Romance series. Each book stands alone but reading them in order provides a deeper, richer experience. It is a sweet, small town, Hallmark style, “clean and wholesome” romance, is faith-friendly, and contains a happily ever after.

“Summer With the Marine” was a delightful novella. Moreover, the interesting plot was entertaining with bits of spirituality and levity. The author used vivid details which helped to create an upbeat tone. Overall, I enjoyed reading it.
A typical light romance–easy flow as main characters worked through their problems.
A sweet story about two friends who reunite after ten years. The premise has been done before, but the book is an easy read to enjoy with your feet up. No sex or foul language with wonderful characters and a happily ever after.
I loved this story. What realistic Characters; I loved Betty and Ford and Eisley where fun to get to know. I can’t wait to read more books by Ellie Hall.
Great book
Finding Your
True love. Eisley was coming to Blue Bay to be with her mom and figure out what to do with herself. She gets a job at the local cafe, but one of her coworkers had an way of starting the new girls. They had to ask out the next single male they serve. Ford moved to Blue Bay with a little girl he just found out he had, named Coco and he inherited a mansion. But when he is greeted by his waitress, he is for a shock. His best friend growing Eisley was there and were going to fix things.
This is a fun, funny story-being challenged by your fellow female employee to ask the next guy you service in a restaurant on a date. Then to have that guy be someone you know from 10 yrs. ago. Do they get their HEA. You have to read to find out.
An emotional second chance romance.
Eisley had reached her limit when her Mom convinced her to come stay with her for the summer to get back on her feet. What she wasn’t counting on was running into her best friend from grade school, Ford. Ford was trying to adapt to going from being a Marine to a single father. He certainly hadn’t counted on running into the one who got away.
This is the first book in the Blue Bay Beach Reads Romance, so it stands on its own.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A really enjoyable read. It was fun to watch Eisley and Ford work their way towards their second chance at romance after a ten year separation. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
Good intentions often have unexpected results. Ellie Hall gives us a story of two people who failed to open up to their best friend resulting in 10 years of separation. The characters are well-developed and you understand where they are. It is hard to see them making some of the same mistakes and at times you will want to yell at them. I enjoyed this book and look forward to Claudia’s story.
A romance story that was entertaining and easy to read. It was about friends growing up together but go their sperate ways, and many years later they meet again. After some time this friendship blossoms into love.
This is a sweet, summery introduction to this small town. I enjoyed the characters and their second chance. There was also a good sprinkling of faith throughout the book.
