She’s fighting to save her town. He’s fighting for her. These strong personalities have met their match, but who will win? Billie Fisher’s restaurant, Coconut Cove Café, is a staple in the Blue Bay Beach community. The waitstaff has an ongoing dare that they have to date the next guy they wait on. It’s the last thing she wants to do as she struggles to keep her business afloat and keep resort … business afloat and keep resort developers from ruining the close-knit beach town she helped create.
Rhodes Bishop is a billionaire investor who blazes into town and prepares to level the buildings down to the sand. His vision for the Sand Dollar Resort is income-producing perfection. But he runs into a snag. The woman who owns his next target asks him on a date. With her sea blue eyes and feisty personality, he simply can’t say no.
After his grandmother mistakes them for being a couple, as ridiculous as the sworn enemies think it is, they’re forced to go along with it to spare her embarrassment. Billie agrees, only to stop construction while Rhodes quickly sees that paradise is being with her. That will mean losing the biggest investment of his career. He always gets what he wants, but the one thing he can’t seem to have turns out to be her.
Will these enemies call a truce for love?
This is book 3 in the Blue Bay Beach Reads Romance series. Each book stands alone but reading them in order provides a deeper, richer experience. It is a sweet, small town, Hallmark style “clean and wholesome” small town romance, is faith-friendly, and contains a happily ever after.

Coconut Cove Cafe owner Billie has been fake engaged for years to keep men from hitting on her, so it was pretty funny that she got caught up in a fake engagement with her enemy real estate developer Rhodes to make his grandmother “Memaw” happy. I loved Memaw and his sister Scarlett, who should have her own romance. He tried to live up to his father by not caring who he destroyed on his path to success and lost sight of what’s important until he met Billie. I loved reading more about Blue Bay Beach and it’s quirky residents. There were several funny and sweet moments. The recipe at the end sounds yummy and I can’t wait to try it.

I really enjoyed the bantering between Billie and Rhodes. Their chemistry is off the charts. Another great romance by Ellie Hall.
He’s there to turn their quaint beach town into a resort.

The characters are well done. I like that the main guy is supposed to be confident to the point of appearing arrogant, but he’s nice. He’s gentlemanly and romantic.
The love story almost seems like a fairly tale until reality crashes in… and ebbs again like waves on the beach.
It was nice to see the couple *choose* to love, knowing it can be scary and it *will* take work.
One dare leads to one fake engagement too many and that leads to all sorts of trouble
Summer with the Billionaire is the second book in the Blue Bay Beach Reads Romance series by Ellie Hall that I have read. This is another enjoyable book with a nice story-line and fun characters which have some depth to them and the banter between Billie an Rhodes is great. Even though the story is short is is well written and contains a range of emotions and of course a satisfying HEA.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I always enjoy reading books by Ellie Hall. Her characters are interesting and the story lines keep you involved. Who knew that a “tradition” would lead to a wedding. This story is fun and entertaining.
As a Franki, I totally understand the challenges that the Billie our heroine faced with her unique name. However, a unique name fit Billie perfectly.
Rhodes was just the right blend of determined, but not so much as to seem clingy. He loved Billie for those things that made her unique, and I think that I lost my heart to this fictional hero when he promised to rub Billie’s feet.
This was a sweet, swoon-worthy read, perfect for chasing away the end-of-summer blues!
