Two years ago, Raelyn Scott left a baby on her brother’s front porch and disappeared. No one knew where she went or why – until now. Summer Secrets is the last full length book of the seasons for the USA Today bestselling Romancing Wisconsin series. Rae is mentioned back in book 5, Autumn Wish, when she leaves little Ella on her bachelor brother Sam’s porch. Romancing Wisconsin, a USA Today …

Leaving her baby with a brother no one knew about is the only way Raelyn Scott could protect little Ella, her brother, and herself. Trust no one has been her motto to survive by—until her sexy diner customer, Josh, saves her from the man she fears most.
Private investigator Josh Burke finds himself falling for the guarded beauty before he can suss out the information he’s been hired to expose. He’s beginning to doubt the facts of the case, and lying to the first person to believe in his worth since leaving the military eats away at his rigid sense of honor. But if he tells Rae the truth about why he was in the diner that day, she’ll disappear from his life forever.

Some novels lay on angst for angst’s sake. But not this one: the emotions ring true and you understand why the secrets are kept. Good clear writing, the story advances at the right pace and I cared about the characters. I caught no errors, and believe me, I’m picky. I enjoyed the cameos of the folks from other books in this series, but you won’t be confused if you haven’t read the earlier stories. (Although you should. Really.) I received an ARC for an honest review, and it’s a pleasure when it was this good.
I just love this series! In this story we have Josh & Rae. She’s on the run and he’s a P.I.. He finds her and realizes she’s not what what his profile on her makes her out to be. She cannot trust anyone. Josh has his ways to get her to trust him and ends up in a tangled mess of lies. We also get to hear from some characters from Autumn Wish which I felt was a great tie in to these 2 series.I read this book in 1 day, I couldn’t put it down once I started. Great, great read!
I loved Summer Secrets, just as much as I have loved every other book in this series. However, reading also made me a bit sad, since this is the last book in the Romancing Wisconsin series, and I will miss being able to read new stories about the people I have ‘met’ through these books.
This book is Raelynn’s story. We first heard about her in Autumn Wishes, when she left a baby on her brother Sam’s doorstep, and then disappeared. Her story is a gripping one, explaining why she did this, and why she ran (and continues to run). There are a lot of twists and turns to her story (including one from Santa Butch!), but it all wraps up in a satisfying conclusion.
Thank you for this wonderful series, Stacey. I hope you will consider writing some more stories in the future about the wonderful characters I have come to know and love!
Summer Secrets (Romancing Wisconsin Book 15) by Stacey Joy Netzel
Even though this is book 15 of the Romancing Wisconsin series it can be read alone. I always take interest in these books cause #1 I live in Wisconsin. It is a good fast read but enjoyed it 100%
This is a story about Raelyn Scott, plus her brother and the baby that Raelyn left on his doorstep 2 years ago.
Raelyn had tried so hard to try to make sure her past would not catch her but there was someone looking for her. She was working in a Truck & Chuck as a waitress and a customer had been coming in for a few days and yep he was back in that day and she always waited on him. He was in town on business for a week or so he had told her. But she always had in the back of her mind is there something else. Josh who she did not even know his last name knew more than she did as to why she was there and what had happened.
It has a love story, mystery story, and just a all around good read. I hope you will enjoy the book as much as I do and take time to read the others in the series. Trust me you will not regret reading them.
