I really enjoyed reading this story. There were many issues that created an interesting story. I am glad it worked out the way it did.
This story is a wonderful read I loved reading it. If you like romance secrets and second chances then this is the story for you. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves stories like this.
This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story.
This was a great story and it goes great with the other Macconwood pack stories, I love that these two get a second chance and all the secrets are aired out and it’s happily ever after Read review
I think it’s an amazing novella. The story is very well-written. I absolutely adored both Mason and Abigail. And I admire the way author has made this short story so fulfilling. It won’t left you unsatisfied, it’s as good as any full length novel.
Abigail broke Mason’s heart when she left town without a word. For ten years he has suffered from a broken heart. For him she was the one and only. But he is also angry at her for leaving him the way she did. He didn’t even get to tell her his secret.
Abigail hated leaving her one true love behind. But she had to go. It wasn’t possible for her to stay with her father anymore. Now she is back with her son. But she can never be reunited with Mason because she can’t tell him her secret. Will she be able to face him? Will they be able to stay away from each other or end up being hurt once again?
I loved it! And I’d recommend it to all my reader friends.
This is both a supernatural and romance story. I feel like lots of people can relate to the situation that Mason and Abigail went through in some ways. While I’m not one to read meny supernatural books I did enjoy this one. While it has supernatural parts in the story it’s not the main focus. To me it feels like a good split between romance and paranormal. I only gave it a 4 star because I like more action/suspense.
Loved this story! This is the second book I have read from this author and I really enjoy her work. Talk about miscommunication and words not spoken!!! Mason and Abigail ‘s lives would have been a whole lot different!!! Sometimes you do get a shot a your one, true love!!!
New author for me. I like the premise of the book, typical teen romance that just cant be, until you throw in a twist of fate. They’re both hiding something. Her secret may be bigger than his, but he could’ve spilled and told her sooner and they would’ve had their happily ever after….then again it was fun to read the drama that unfolded! I definitely recommend this novella!
Summer Bite by C.D. Gorri will entice you. This author has a way with a story that is crisp and clearly amazing. This book has all the feels anyone reader could want. I love second chance romances and this one has alot of secrets to be told before the HEA ending. Mason Lane and Abigail “Abby” Vicente have been in love since childhood and the love endured their separation and still survives today. Their chemistry is off the chart hot and all encompassing. The secrets you will learn as you read the book. You will not be able to put it down.
Mason and Abigail found love in each other when they were younger. Unfortunate events caused them to be separated. Time passes and Mason has a successful distillery. Abigail has returned with her secret. This was a great book. Loved it.
Poor Mason and Abby. They meet because he worked in her dad’s whiskey company. They decided to get married but wouldn’t tell her dad until her 18th birthday. Two nights before her birthday she asks Mason to come and get her she seemed sad but they parked anyway. They made love for the first time that night the next day she was gone. Fast forward ten years she returns because her dad is dead and she has a son named Ollie. They both have secrets they need to discuss. Great novella.
I loved reading this book. Abigail and Mason were young and in love, before certain eventshappened and they were separated for 10 years. Abigail returns home to face her past and brings her 9 year old son, Oliver, with her. Mason realizes he is Oliver’s father. They still love each other completely. They confront the secrets that sent them apart. They are destined to be together. They marry and become a family.
This was a great story, it was also my first by this author. As soon as I finished it, I got the first book in this series so I could read more. This book is stand alone.
Abigail and Mason are young and in love. Mason is a werewolf and hasn’t told Abigail yet but he has plans to tell her soon. Abigail calls him and he helps her sneak out and they spend the night out together. After that she leaves without a word to him. Then we come to 10 years later, we finally get to hear why she left the only man she ever loved.
This was a great story, there were some grammatical errors but sometimes that happens. The story moved pretty fast but it’s a novella not a novel. Great, fast read.
I really enjoyed this short and sweet story of second chances. I really liked Mason who fell for Abigail who ran off and disappeared for ten years. I loved the chemistry between them when she came back after the death of her father. I found myself really engrossed with the main characters as this was a fast paced story.
Summer Bite is just that…a scrumptious amuse bouche of a story that will wet your appetite for the rest of the Macconwood pack. Mason and his Dhampir mate Abigail have been in love for years. Their union has produced more than fond memories. But Abby left, afraid he could never accept her for what she was, not knowing that he had his own secrets. Now she was back, and Mason was never going to let her go. A passionate novella with a great HEA this quick read should be on everyone’s list.
A real good read. I really enjoyed the romance and the fast paced action. I had a hard time putting the book down.
Sexy and entertaining. It was an enjoyable fast paced paranormal read. The characters were easy to like and root for. If you’re looking for a sexy short PNR full of sexy alpha mates and kickbutt women check this out.
I thoroughly enjoyed Mason and Abby’s story. Hector pulled a fast one on both of them. I loved the reactions between Mason and Ollie when they met. Ollie just makes this story and he needs his own story, about 9 years in the future!
My heart is always sucked in when it comes to second chance romance, there is nothing like getting another chance at the one person who really sucks you in never letting you go. Life may go on but that person is never far from your thoughts leaving you always wondering what if…. A short sweet romance full of passion where the author never misses a beat pulling you breaking your heart at the misunderstandings lost and then gives them a second chance that keeps you in awe.
It is a very touching story of secrets so many have been kept along with a few lies. When Abrigail father dies she comes home facing facts she cannot over look. He is the reason she left so many years ago without a word, leaving behind the one man she loves more than anything. With her return secrets come out on both sides it seems Mason has a few of his own.
I thought this was well written with a great plot, it was very easy to follow and get lost between these pages. I loved the characters they became my friends as they broke my heart through what they had to deal with and put it back together as they worked out the issues. It was a great read that I truly enjoyed.
Overall rating: 4.7
Being a novella, I appreciated the quick launch into a very interesting storyline. The characters were brought of life smoothly and it didn’t take much to escape into these pages. One of my favorite scenes is when Ollie and Mason first meet. Mason’s first words were perfect. I really could enjoy more reads surrounding Abigail’s people. A great read
This has a couple spoilers in it so beware!
New author for me and read the book last night and today getting ready to review it. I saw all these 5 star reviews and wondered if I read the same book as these other reviewers. I had a few issues with it unfortunately. I love second chance romances and I was totally on board and I liked the blurb.
I have a really hard time thinking this is really a Paranormal Romance and not just contemporary. This is why: We never see him shift into his wolf. She’s this half-vampire hunter which we never see her patrol or use her skills or really talk in depth about what she really does. Its just explained what Abigail and Mason are and thats it.
I just think it was too easy to believe the story. There has to be some conflicts to work through considering what Mason and Abigail have been through those 10 years. The only real conflict or bump was when he realized she came home and stormed over to have it out with her for breaking his heart and she wouldnt be getting any money. Next thing you know its all done and forgiven.
I found Abigail’s character a little unlikable because she was going to willingly keep Ollie a secret from Mason and she was ok never telling him. Thats just wrong. She knew Mason and if she thought for a moment she’d know he’d be ok with it. Not that Mason didnt hold anything back because he did. A child in the mix though I wasnt her biggest fan because you dont keep a child from their Father no matter what. I just think she went about things wrong and I dont necessarily blame her totally. A lot of this was on her Father if you can call him that. He manipulated her big time. So, I understand from her POV why she did these things. Still doesnt make it right but I understand. Everything aside I still liked the book.
This needs some further development and to figure out if the author wants to go contemporary or PNR with this. Being a novella not everything will be in the book. Not everything will make sense to us. Give it a try. I seem to be the odd one out. 🙂
