I didn’t think so. So shut it.So begins vacation for Summer Hartwell – … it.
So begins vacation for Summer Hartwell – twenty-six years old, living with her anxiety-ridden parents, and unwillingly booked by her brother on a weeklong cruise to Bermuda. Despite the nightmare of being trapped aboard a cruise ship with Mom and Dad, Summer sees a rare opportunity to fulfill The Prophecy – her mother’s declaration that she will live at home until she gets married. With two thousand passengers onboard, at least one of them must be husband material, right?
The only problem is Graham Blenderman – her brother’s best friend who is joining them for the week, in all of his tall, blonde, extroverted glory. Graham doesn’t believe Summer needs a husband in order to break free from her parents. He thinks she just needs a little bit of nerve. And to Summer’s introverted horror, he’s willing to spend the entire week proving that he’s right.

I’d just read a string of heavy, emotional books and was looking for light and refreshing. Boy, did this ever fit the bill. I listened to it on audio, and within the first few minutes, I was laughing out loud. It’s a good romantic comedy, and the perfect book for when you want your happily ever after, as well a lots of laughs. Check it out!
So, this is the first book I have read by this author, but I am so glad I did. This book was great on so many levels. To start with, the storyline was fun and engaging and kept me entertained the whole time. Also, the characters were so likable and believable and the way the author writes made it so easy to visualize the entire story. I felt …
This was my first book by Beth Labonte. It won’t be my last. I loved it! It’s a cute, witty, romantic comedy with likeable characters. If you enjoy chick lit, light-hearted romance novels, and rom-coms, you’ll love it too!
It was a cute fun summer read.
What a fun book to read! I (like in others’ comments), laughed out loud! Loved her sense of humor! Didn’t mind the whiney mom, b/c she was an important part of why the storyteller was so stressed out — so funny it allows 1 to laugh at the peccadillos of their own families.
Loved this book. Hope the next one is free soon
Weird and wonderful, a very funny book that’ll lift anyone’s spirits.
A little bit silly, but fun – I actually laughed out loud a few times.
This book was hilarious! After finishing it, I immediately read the next book on the series.
Fun summer read
Couldn’t quit laughing!!
Has to be the funniest book I’ve ever read..!
This book annoyed me. The guy was so tired of her pleasing her parents. He didn’t like all the things she did to please her parents and keep the peace. So to get her to stop that behavior he started bossing her around and making her do things she wasn’t comfortable with. Not the book for me.
Hilarious! Can you imagine a cruise with the parents only to deal with an annoying best friend of your brother…cootie alert!
This was a fun summery read. I listened to the audio version. It was well done and enjoyable.

There are all the eye rolling embarrassments one suffers with clueless parents plus the ones one suffers with cruise ship romances. She …
One of the funniest, laugh-out-loud books I’ve read in a long time!
