He wants the world and the admiration of everyone in it.
Sean Taiden, the inconspicuous drummer of Reckless Beat, is sick of living in the shadows of his bandmates’ success. He’ll do anything to gain the recognition he deserves. Even if it means dancing in a music video to the Reckless track that drives a knife into his broken heart whenever he hears it. The saving grace is the tempting … tempting choreographer who may be the one person able to distract him from the agony his life has become.
All she wants is the peace that comes with solitude.
Melody Jenkins knows all about fame. She knows enough to determine she doesn’t want a part of it anymore. After quitting her professional dance career, she set up a quiet studio and focused on starting a new beginning away from prying eyes. Until a sexy drummer strides into her life, making her crave something she can’t have while also pushing her to expose secrets she can’t bear to reveal.
Conflicting aspirations and one inextinguishable passion.
She needs to hide from the world she once owned. He wants to rise to the top, proving to himself and his friends that he’s always been the heartbeat of the band. Caught between what they need and what they want, Melody and Sean have to decide which is more important—their individual plans for the future or their feelings for one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story,
Once I started I couldn’t put it down as I was in rockstar heaven.
Sean is a drummer with the Band Reckless Beat
Melody was a dancer but now a choreographer, there is an instant attraction and scorching chemistry, and what is supposed to be a bit of fun between two consenting adults turns into something more than they expected.
They are both great characters that take you on a rollercoaster of emotions with their romance, and rocker romance fans out there will fall in love with this book.
I Loved it
I highly recommend it.
Who wants to be someone’s second choice or consolation prize? Sean is sick and tired of being in the background when it comes to his band and women. He’s done with making do with Mason’s castoffs and getting zero recognition when it comes to Reckless Beat. His current situation finds him drowning his sorrows at Mason and Sidney’s engagement party. This is how he meets Melody, the choreographer he’ll be working with to shoot a music video for the band. He thinks he’s looking for a distraction, but what he finds is what he truly wants out of life. Melody is scarred from the past both emotionally and physically. She is drawn to Sean from the first moment she lays eyes on him. She knows he is looking for a distraction, but at the time she doesn’t care. This story takes you on an emotional ride of insecurity, secrets of the past, and overcoming obstacles. I look forward to reading the next book on this amazing Reckless Beat series.
This is book 4 in the Reckless Beat series and it features kilt wearing drummer, Sean Taiden and dance choreographer Melody Jenkins. They each have issues that are crazy complicated. My heart breaks for Sean multiple times during this read. Melody is quite conceited at times and it made her NOT my favorite character in this book. Sidney is pretty naive and even Mason is clueless for a minute.
This story is sexy, funny, emotional and I loved it! This author and her dirty talking, sexy rock stars keep me coming back for more. The banter between all of them is the best and I can’t wait for the next book!
My favourite of the series, Sean and Melody’s book is sooo romantic and intense (spelt: H-O-T!)
I would have to say that this is my favourite book so far. I love Sean and Melody’s vulnerability, and I loved almost every passage in the book . When I read a book, I highlight my favourite quotes or passages, and this book was coloured everywhere (kindle app people!). The heat and chemistry, the intensity and emotions were kept at a high level throughout, and again, Eden’s witty humour gives much needed humorous relief, otherwise my teeth might’ve cracked with the tension! Reading is meant to be an enjoyable experience, whatever your genre, and Eden certainly provided that in spades.
In a world where perfection is compulsory, Melody mysteriously disappeared almost a year ago, giving up her top dancing career to become a small town dance teacher and choreographer. She’s been engaged by Reckless Beat to put a dance together for a music video featuring drummer Sean Taiden, in the band’s effort to bring him out from behind his kit and into the spotlight.
Soon he realises its not the spotlight he craves, but a certain red-headed and feisty pixie who will bear scrutiny if she is to pursue a relationship with the formally unrecognised and very sexy drummer. His star is rising with the help of the publicity drive to put his face up there with his well-known band mates.
When it all comes down to the wire, and Leah tests Melody’s dedication to Sean, it seems that Melody is more prepared to hide her secret than to put her and their commitment under public scrutiny.
This is the fourth stand-a-lone book in the Reckless Beat series. We also get to catch up with the other members, so why wouldn’t you want to read them in order? If you’re anything like me, go back to the start and enjoy your rocker marathon reading from start of the series through to the end. Five books and two novellas. Well worth the time and money people! 5 Stars.
She totally ruined this book for me. I was excited for Seán to get his own book. And it had promise. But she was a emotional wreck. Sean needed someone who would choose him and fight for him after what he’s been through. But she couldn’t fight for herself. My heart broke for him. And even though it’s a “happy ending “, it didn’t justify to me what she put him through. I am still excited for Ryan’s book though.
Book four in the Reckless Beat series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. Reckless Beat is a band with each book being about a different member. The secondary characters are the same throughout the series. Sean is the drummer and in his opinion the least recognized, least appreciated member of the band. He wants more fame and recognition. Melody is a choreographer and former dancer due to an accident. This book had Sean changing his ways and Melody losing her insecurities. Good story, I really like this series!
Well Eden summers has done it again, I don’t know why but I wasn’t sure if I would like Sean’s story but I am not sure why I doubted Edens writing I absolutely loved this this story and what it stood for.
Being this is the 4th book in the series the story for this couple was so different to the rest of the books and it made it so exciting to be able to read a book about a band and really feel like it’s a standalone.
God I love reckless beat band, they all try to be tough guys but at the end of the day they are family and have each other’s backs even when one will care about someone they don’t know they will still have that persons back.
This was quite an emotional read, it could be just me but I really felt the pain of these characters for what they had been through and really it didn’t matter if the scars were internal or external you need to love yourself for who you are and be damned what other people think. They had both hit there rock bottom and it was up to each other to help bring each other out on top.
I loved both of these characters they were written perfectly and there story was a really beautiful story. Even though this was a story about the bands music video I really felt this was not just a rocker guy in the band kind of story it really felt it was about 2 lost people. I must admit though whenever the reckless boys are together they make me laugh, to the point where I would have tears and then of them speaks and boom I’m laughing and crying at the same time.
This is one of my favourite music/band genre series and couldn’t have asked for a better ending for Sean. I love the way Eden summers also gets you really excited for the next book in the series and can’t wait to start it.
This book made me laugh, cry, hurt, and feel really sorry for the characters so if you like the music genre with heart breaking Beautiful story to go with it then this book is for you.
A big big 5 Stars for this baby.
