If you liked the Magnificent Seven, you’ll love the Rock Creek Six!Six elite Confederate soldiers band together after the War Between the States, hiring out their guns to protect lawless towns. Violence is all they know, until they make their way to Rock Creek, Texas. For Eden Rourke, making her way from a sheltered life in Georgia to rough and tumble Rock Creek is an easy decision, if not an … decision, if not an easy journey. A tenderhearted woman, she’s always been driven to help those in need, including the half-breed Sinclair Sullivan who’s been ambushed and beaten directly in the path of her wagon. Coincidence? She thinks not.
When Sullivan discovers that the woman who saved him is Jed Rourke’s sister, he feels obligated to escort her to Rock Creek. He tells himself that once she’s there she’ll be Jed’s problem, not his, but Eden is not only tender and unfailingly optimistic, she’s persistent. And she’s decided that Sinclair Sullivan is meant to be hers.
Eden doesn’t believe in coincidence, but she does believe in fate.

I loved the story and if flowed nicely. No constant repetition of the same thing over and over. I wish most of the books I read held my interest like this one did.
I enjoyed this book, Linda Winstead Jones is a good writer
I really liked this story along with all of the characters.
Didn’t think the happily ever would ever come!
Full of passion, angst and heartache!
This was a good book. I hope to read more books by this author
Great fun and well written. Good characters that you could really picture.
Loved this book
I enjoyed Sullivan. The characters were well-developed. I am looking for the other five books.
So sweet with a lot of sexy thrown in for good measure.
Greed causes people to do evil. Our own prejudices can blind us to those who love us.
I really enjoyed this book. Interesting story.
This book is the second of a six-book series, but it reads well as a stand-alone. The author did a great job of writing consistently strong, interesting characters throughout the series. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.
This was a great read. Mama Eden rescues lost souls and never backs down. Papa Sullivan, Sin, learns what love is and finally relents. The town is wild, the “brothers” are brave, the story is endearing.
Interesting characters. Nice series that kept me reading to the end.
Made me smile
A good story, good characters, tooooo much sex.
It was enjoyable reading and held my interests all the way through.
I read most of the series. If you like western historical fiction, you will love this series.
A good and fun read.
