Kept me captive for the entire read.
Interesting
Best book you could ever read
Couldn’t put it down!
Starts off slow and awkward but ends up great.
Had just seen a special on pbs on the place, then to read the book was a double dingy. Good read .
Different from most thrillers but I had trouble putting it down. I just had to discover what was going on. The fact that the setting is real makes it terrifying.
The ending was unexpected.
The book being based on real places is a great way to attract new reader. I have always engulfed anything I can get my hands on about the infamous forest in a land where the spiritual realm is engraved in its history. This book is very engaging and may have you rooting for the wrong side but all comes out in the pages with a great story unraveling …
I have already down loaded other books in this series from Jeremy Bates and look forward to reading them.
This book was OK. Kind of like a movie you turn on late at night to have something to do. Characters weren’t developed all that well and I found myself frequently skipping/scanning through paragraphs. It helped pass some time and caused me to google the Japanese forest this book is set in. I guess I did learn a couple of new things and I …
Great setting with fairly realistic portrayal of Japanese culture and locales
Quick – surprising – very very good. Kudos to this writer.
(SPOILERS AHEAD) I have read a few books from this author and though I appreciate his new and weird take on suicide forest I think I was hoping for something more supernatural that super mutant.
Bored me
Kept me on the edge
It’s really wild, i really believe that this place can and does exist. Great story!!!
Great read, hard to put down.
A bit slow in the beginning but it got better and better and the ending was a total surprise ! I liked it allot
In the beginning it was written in a way that kept you reading. Towards the end, it seemed that the author tried to force to much into the characters to make the story fit better. He should have left some of it out and just let the story flow.
