I like this book because it gives very good descriptive details of an interesting place, “The Suicide Forest” in Japan , yet a place I realistically never plan to visit. While reading this book, I felt as though I was there in the forest with the characters. Also, the story is intriguing enough to keep you wanting to read until the end of the …
really liked and am now reading the author’s other books
Great book good read
Again, the beginning had me hooked but then I lost interest
Really good until the end, which was ridiculous and a disappointing turn.
Would not consider this a horror book. I feel that it had lots of potential with a great plot and back story; however, it failed as it went on to be a typical “B” rated book. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a good haunting horror. Blair Witch Project gone horribly wrong.
Good concept and setting, poor writing and annoying characters
Dragged on and on and on. Kept waiting to be scared if even a little bit. Not a good read.
A fun and creepy Halloween read! The scariest places books are a great series for October!
Keeps your mind off the weather
Another very good, based on a real place and local “mythology” Bates book. He does LOTS of these, and all I’ve read so far have been very good!
This book was so boring and slow, and very dumb. Here is a link to my video review of this disappointing read; from my YouTube Channel; AreYouIntoHorror?:

I’d first learned of the suicide forest phenomena in another book by a different author. So when this popped up as a recommended read and it was free, I had to take advantage.
I thought this novel as very well written, the characters were slightly over the top, but I think given the story that’s a good thing. I do think it was unnecessarily long, …
Found this to be an exceptional read, kept me up all night reading. Have been and will continue to recommend this book to my friends.
This is a very original book. It is eerie and mysterious, an absolute page-turner. A group of people destined for Mt. Fuji camp in the infamous Suicide Forest; at first, it is a fun adventure–even at the thought of possibly encountering a dead body. However, when one of their friends ends up dead, the trip becomes much more dangerous and …
Good read until the end, then it got weird.
Just creepy.
Something a little different. I would recommend this to those who like the ‘different’
4 star for Suicide Forest
Tedious, only read the first story.
This book was a quick read. Story was not what I was expecting. I enjoyed the story but not something I would read again.
