The build up was good but the ending was strange. As usual with horror, some of the situations were implausible.
The underlying concept was fascinating. i didn’t think the writing was quite as good as it might have been.
This book just blew my mind with the twists! I couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait to read his other books.
Enjoyed it, kept your interest until the end
This book was a complete shocker. The beginning started off as your conventional ghost story, but opened up into a terrifying journey into the unknown. Although the horror seems to form at a snail’s pace, you’ll be on the edge of your seat flipping through the pages just to see what happens next.
Very creepy …makes me want to go to Japan
It conveyed the feeling of being lost in a haunted forest very vividly.
Good introduction to this author. Like the concept of using the world’s haunted places for a series.
Sad.
Though a fun read, I felt that it was unfinished enough that it has a hard time as a stand alone. That being said the writing was not solid enough to lure me to buy following installments
