SUGAR IS A FULL LENGTH STANDALONE ROMANCECountry’s hottest bad boy. That’s what they call me. My label ate it up until I became “too bad” for the good folks of country music. That’s when Hard Candy Records picked me up and took a chance on me. Probably not their smartest move, but I won’t tell them that. Especially when they’ve assigned me a babysitter to try and keep my ass out of trouble. One … and keep my ass out of trouble. One smart-mouthed, unimpressed, sexy as homegrown sin, Addy Mae Masterson.
She likes to pretend that she doesn’t like me and I like to let her.
I may have a past that haunts me and she may have a habit of getting attached, but damn if I don’t want to show her just how good this bad boy can be.

This was a fun easy read. Loved the main characters and secondary ones that we’ve met in a previous book. Beau was a bit cocky but could also be sweet. Addy was super sweet but also fiercely independent. And didn’t take Beau’s crap when he dished it out and got scared. Their chemistry was hot and I loved them together. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Love my country boys, even the bad ones. And Beau is a bad one. Addy has to be the one to keep him in line, and not fall for him? I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes, especially since she likes the bad ones. In trying to keep him line Beau is the one that makes Addy have a little more fun. Always love reading about the paparazzi and those that try to get in for a payday or maybe something a little more intimate. Don’t believe everything you read.
I didn’t want this book to end that how much I was enthralled with the characters. I loved every character and I need more of them. Mandi would you please please write a story for Sealy? Ok back to my adoration for this book. For me it just wasn’t about Beau and Addy I liked how all of the characters had personality. The story was sweet, oh so hot , and made me laugh out loud which is a recipe for a great book for me. This was my first Mandi Beck book but definitely not my last.
Sweet! Sexy!
What is it with Texas boys and watermelon? Stone and now Beau.
Addy is feisty and strong. Beau is a hot mess. Together, they’re doing a dance of push and pull. And it gets hotter when that game lands them in a river, a puck-up truck, aside a building and against a bank of windows!
Nothing is easy though and it’s still a battles of wills before falling so deep there’s no way out and the watermelon crawl is the only way out. These two character were fun and sexy!
This book was great had me laughing and crying. I truely enjoyed this book
Beau and Addy are wild and free in a country tale so sweet and sexy that your heart will melt in between singeing your fingertips. Addy has always had a thing for all things bad for her – worst of all men. Always bad boy that run amok over her heart that she gives away fully. When her newest client is none other than country’s sexiest bad boy heartthrob she knows she’s in for it something fierce. Beau McCrae a too cocky superstar that due to losing his highschool sweetheart has apparently decided to torpedo his career and now she has to babysit him. Beau is quite tired of everyone acting like he he isn’t grown and can’t handle his business. Yes recently he’s made missteps granted but he doesn’t need or want a shadow. When Addy Mae Masterson lays down the law, Beau is surprised by how much he finds he won’t mind having the fiery sexy boss lady around. Convincing Addy to not despise him might be another ball game entirely, especially with his past and certain ghost lingering. But getting some Sugar from her is going to be oh so sweet!
I honestly didn’t know how this book was going to go. First of all, I’m super picky about Southern and Cowboy books. Second of all, we’ve never seen the author tackle this troupe before so I will admit that I got a little judgy at first. I couldn’t be happier to report that Sugar exceeded my expectations.
What I liked the most about this was that we were able to get the country/small town vibe merged with a big recording company vibe so I got the best of both worlds. I loved the fact that Hard Candy took on a Country singer who happens to be a bad boy who didn’t know was looking for change.
I adored the sass that Addy Mae threw at Beau. She’s a strong character and Beck did her the justice she deserved by making her a strong Southern woman to the very core. I also liked how Beau may be a bad boy but his Southern manners, especially with his mother, were always present. Maybe not so much with Addy but he had to charm her somehow right? I think we all wanted that mix of sweet and cocky vibe that Beau threw around.
Overall, I had fun with this story. Sugar is packed with Southern Charm, sass, and downright fun.
Beau McCrae is a hot, sexy, bad boy country singer that has pulled some stunts that has his recording company dropping him as a client. Beau needs Addy Mae’s record company, Hard Candy, to produce his next album, but more importantly, he needs Addy Mae to handle him, in more ways than one. Addy Mae is a no nonsense type of woman who does everything with passion. She works hard but she also falls hard. Can Addy Mae protect her heart and keep their relationship strictly business, or is Beau and his sexy bad boys ways just too hot to resist.
Mandi Beck has this wonderful writing talent of grabbing your attention on the first page of a story and taking you on a fun, sexy, and at times funny ride. If you like to read stories that have hot troubled bad boys and strong passionate women, then I highly recommend Sugar. You won’t be disappointed.
Once again Mandi Beck has pulled the wool over our proverbial heads!
By blowing our ever loving minds with Sugar! This Sexy, rocktastic number had me yearning to hunt down my own dirty talking Cowboy/Bad Boy country singer!
With the goal of dreaming of that lake scene or for the love of god!! His love for watermelon!!! Yes, my inner bad girl is all about salivating over BEAU!!!
Now how can you not? Mandi just brings his sexy badassness to life!! With a bang and then some!!! Ladies Sugar is a must have! It will make you sing, tingle and dang right blush with need!!! HECK YES, a 5 STAR HIT! That will rock your sexy socks off!! WINK WINK!!!!
Oh My Sugar ….welcome to Hard Candy Records and the Swoon worthy Beau McRae .
Who doesn’t love a man full of southern charm , a voice to melt your panties oozing sexy arrogance.
Beau has been a bad boy and his current label thinks it may be time for a change ..In comes Hard Candy Records and the savvy Addy . She has a mind for business, is sassy and as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out! Receiving a call from an old friend isn’t unheard of what he asks is to consider signing a new client to her label. A meeting with her partners and friends leads to a impromptu meeting with Country singing bad boy Beau. Fireworks on the first meeting …let’s say it was to much to handle but not in the way you are thinking!!! So …Hard Candy thinks that Beau needs a handler and who better than the Addy …she is all business . Is it possible once she starts to peel the layers from Beau that he can resist that southern charm or will she be another notch in his bed post!!
Give me some Sugar and take me to Church I loved it !!

Beau McCrae hold on to your hearts and your panties ! This man all swoon ,swagger and arrogance. Who doesn’t love a bad boy with a big heart? Could I love this more then we meet Addy Mae she’s a spitfire his new handler go to keep him in line girl at his new label. Well sexual tension for two? It’s on! The banter , the fun. BRING ON THE COMBUSTIBLE CHEMISTRY! This is hot , but when ghosts of the pasts keep living in the present what can happen? Damn I need a drink , cold shower and a reread! Grab this now!
Sugar was absolutely AMAZING. Beau is the most perfect mix of country boy, sex on a stick and at times, a complete asshole who loves his family, especially his mama and oh yes, the ladies 😉 Beau is in a downward spiral and needs to get his life back on track before everything is taken away from him.
Addy is such a sweet, yet total bad ass chick, who is a BOSS in the workplace. This girl knows how to get shit done and I honestly have a girl crush on her! Being Beau’s babysitter is definitely not what she signed up for but I LOVED her take no shit attitude. Girl can dish it out as good as she gets it!
I enjoyed every single minute of Beau and Addy’s journey. Their banter, their sexy times (Ms. Beck KNOWS how to write some sizzling sex scenes) and their truths just radiated throughout this story. I also love how the crew from Stoned was just so perfectly worked into this book.
Sugar is the perfect blend of sweet, sassy and a whole lot of sexy!!
“I just want to be here with you right now.” I’m not sure why I said that. I realize I mean it, though. Addy doesn’t question me, just nods and rests her hand on my shoulder as I trail my fingers up and down her spine. Its intimate and familiar. More so than it should be. Than I should be with her, really. But I can’t find it in me to care much. I like touching her and until she tells me to stop, I’m gonna keep on touching her.”
Oh. My. Goodness.
I was NOT prepared to love these two as much as I did. I should’ve known, though, that a country boy with a great singing voice and a bad boy streak would get my attention, though Beau McCrae is EVERYTHING. First, he’s southern to the core. Second, he’s got a bad boy streak that runs clean through him. Third, he can make music. Fourth, okay… this is getting out of hand. Just trust me, alright? Almost everything he said, even when he was being an ass, made me wanna kiss him.
“Are you flirting with me?”
“Only every time I open my mouth.”
Addy wasn’t quite prepared to deal with a star like Beau. Managing Hard Candy Records, she understands the hardships that go with living in the spotlight (you NEED to read Stoned, just sayin’), but she accepts no excuses and won’t risk her lable being dragged through the dirt just because this hot, country superstar feels like making his way through the female population. The only trouble, though, is that Beau seems to be hitting all the right buttons for her, even when she kind of wants to knock him out.
Together, this is one of my favorite couples. I probably say that a lot, so I suppose this is one of my favorite couples right now. There will be more, but trust me when I say this will be a story I come back to. I loved seeing the strong family ties interwoven into this community, not just blood family, but the friends that become family. This story gives a peek into the hardships of fame, the baggage from youth, and the ability to grow and change for the better.
“With you, it’s just the opposite. I wanna be a better man when I’m around you. Not just for you, but for me too.”
As difficult as the two could be, the love that grew between them was one that I will remember. Beau, smooth talking and clever, definitely met his match with the fiery Addy.
“Sugar, you’re the first person I’ve ever loved more than myself. Now I may talk slow, but I want to love you even slower.”
