Book five in the Holiday Valley series a well written short story with a very good storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. Bree applies for a job at Emmett’s Bakery and meets the hurting, widower and owner Emmett. I enjoyed reading this story and seeing the interaction between them and Emmett’s two daughters Caitlin and Chelsea. That was really some ex-fiance she had. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Valentine’s Day in Holiday Valley
This was a sweet story and not JUST because it was set in a bakery. A bakery where the owner doesn’t “do” Valentine’s Day since his wife died. Cupid, with a little help from Emmett’s teenage daughters, show Emmett that it’s time for a change. One of those changes is letting Bree into not only the bakery but his heat. Another change is the office chairs….

Literally a short and sweet book. After Baker Bree (FMC) suffers a break up with her Ex she ends up back in her hometown looking for a job. She ends up working with Emmett at his Bakery. Hes a widower who lost his wife 10 years ago and apart from his two daughters he lives for his work. The story is about them both and i loved both characters. i was genuinely routing for them to get together. A lovely love story and a good read too
A sweet, funny and romantic story about two people that are not ready for love yet, but life thinks differently.

First time reading this author, I truly enjoyed this story. Great characters dealing with different types of heartbreak, I liked the ease of which the characters deal and experience their growing feelings. Just the right amount of Sugar & Spice to keep the the story interesting with enough heat.

Emmett runs a bakery. He is a widower and has two teenage daughters who help him in the bakery whenever they can.
Bree’s dream is to have her own wedding cake shop and she was starting to have some clients when her boyfriend decided to move away. She then went back to her small town and started to work by Emmett.
Bree has a great ability to learn recipes and a pair of magic hands which could make anything at all. And that is the first thing that Emmett observed and admired from her.
Little by little Bree’s freshness and honesty along with her capacity of hard work wins Emmett’s heart.
Sugar and Spice is a heartfelt and heartwarming romantic story. It has a good storyline and its a well written story. I truly enjoyed reading about these two characters Emmentt and Bree.

Valentine’s in Holiday Valley
#spoiler
Another very quick read – truth-be-told, I couldn’t put it down once I started! Kaylin has managed to impress me yet again with a beautifully sweet and steamy HEA story in the magical place that is Holiday Valley!
Bree is a talented pastry chef that leaves Cleveland, after splitting up with her fiancé Ryan. She moves back in with her parents, in their hometown of Holliday Valley (yes, definitely sounds ideal).
Bree applies for a job at Emmett’s Bakery, where she’s eaten since a young child. The current owner doubts her want to work in such a small bakery, because she’s seemingly over-qualified. But, she just wants a job, to take charge back in her life. Emmett finally offers her a position, with an immediate start.
Emmett is a widowed father of two teenage daughters, who play key roles in the story too. It’s been two years since they lost their Mum to cancer, and they want their dad to start living again.
There is an obvious attraction to each other (though initially, they’re both seemingly unaware of it), and there’s much drama and excitement as they learn more about each other, and their developing feelings for each other. Emmett’s daughters Chelsea and Caitlin give him the right shove, and he becomes more open to the idea of moving on.
The bakery sees plenty of action (of varying kinds) throughout the story, and keep it interesting and very entertaining. I won’t spoil the ending by giving away what happens, bu let’s just say there’s an angel, and a knight in shining armour!
This story warmed my heart, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! And I’m already looking forward to whatever Kaylin is cooking up next 😉 Ha-ha… get it?! Anyway… read it people, you won’t regret it!
