A billionaire undercover boss.A single mom who’s totally off limits.Temptation never looked so sweet…Cy Sweet has always been the black sheep of his family, which is probably why he was chosen to go Undercover Boss in Sweetopia, his family’s theme park. Enticed by his father’s bribe, he dons an apron to serve pastries in Cotton Candy Castle, one of the park’s most popular attractions. He’s … most popular attractions.
He’s tempted to blow his cover when he meets The Red Velvet Queen. Sure, she’s a costumed character and the jewels in her crown are fake, but she’s absolutely breathtaking. His desire only grows when he invents a baker’s dozen reasons to visit her every day…enough visits to discover her sweetness comes with a side of spice.
But they’re both in disguise. The Queen is actually single mom Jolie Cox, who relentlessly struggles to make a living for herself and her sons. And Cy is actually her boss, not to mention heir to the corporate empire she despises.
What will happen when their identities are finally unmasked?

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Krista Vaughan
Jolie is the Red Velvet Queen and a single mom fighting for her and her sons’ survival. Cy is a spoiled, entitled billionaire who draws the short stick to go Undercover Boss in the family theme park. Cy is more of the artsy-fart of the family. I love how he and Jolie have such an electricity between them. This hidden-identity romance is a fun trip to the theme park where there is fun and frolicking going on behind the scenes. Definitely a fun read!
Wow! Sugar and Spice is right! That’s exactly what Phoebe Alexander delivers in this page turner with surprises on every page! The lead characters were a surprise to me when I began but they quickly grow on you as you learn more about their human side and their motives! Will be very interested to see where this series goes!
This is the first book I have read by Phoebe Alexander, and I can tell you it has been a hot and steamy ride. If you don’t like hot and steamy, then don’t read it but by the cover of the book you can tell it is already. Not only does the writer incorporate some no string attached playboy type stuff, but she pulls at the heart strings of the reader when you find out the mother is a single mother who has a child that is sick. Playboy who keeps on playing, or someone who trips up and falls in love? Keep reading because there are twist and turns on this roller coaster of a story!
Sugar & Spice is the first novel in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander.
Cy Sweet is coaxed to return to his parents theme park undercover and become a pastry chef.
Single Mom Jolie Cox is also undercover and trying to make ends meet.
What happens when the two discover their identities? Will their desire for each other handle the secrets?
I loved this novel. I read it on a night when I couldn’t sleep and was so engrossed in it, 4am just flew by. I was okay being tired at 9am walking to work.
I love the setting and the characters. I do not want to give too much away. I just suggest reading it.
This was my first time reading a book by this author. it was a novel that you can read thru very quickly. You knew you were in for a good read when the two main characters first laid their eyes on one another.
I quickly read into Cy’s and The Red Velvets Queens attaction. It wsant forced at all and felt very natural but in the sense that left you wanting more, as I read on those steamy moments with the rught amount of anticipation and desire was added to the mix, I honestly loved the good steamy moments. But there was so much to the bok than just that, the character development was defiently there and it truly helped as the truth of who they were and the feelings were put into play.
Cy to me well he was a piece of work but as always with me if theres a character I dont instantly like they always seem to change over the course of the book and Im always left really loving who they turn out as they progress. And this defiently happened with Cy for me
All in all, it was a wonderful read. Right amound of steamy moments with drama and the want to keep on reading. The kind of reading where you say one more chapter and still dont stop, the kind where you lose sleep and its perfectly ok, because you regret nothing!
Again this was my first novel to read by Phoebe Alexander. And it was a delicious treat to say the least. I look forward to reading the next and any other works they bring forward. This is a delight not to be missed 🙂
Get your hands on this steamy read!
