The explosive Sugar Bowl series from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett continues in Sugar Rush: a red-hot novel of reckless desire and vengeance long denied.
This book just gets crazier and crazier. The stakes are definitely higher as Beck and Sela’s love grows stronger. I liked the feeling that I was getting to see more of Beck’s struggle with Sela’s confessions and how he handled them. Him willingness to do anything to protect her. I seriously can’t get enough of this series. My only eye roll moments were when Sela was being completely dumb, especially at the end. I mean come on girl.

SUGAR RUSH begins right where Sugar Daddy ended up and the reaction that Beck has to Sela’s betrayal and subsequent revelation.
Without revealing too much, I burned this book quickly needing to know what happened. I was treated to a passionate love story between Beck and Sela, but also a twisted tale of events leading up to another heart stopping cliffhanger turning the tide once again. Amazing feat of storytelling.

At times it’s was hard to read in terms plot…wasn’t what I would consider a romance story.

OMG!!! Talk about a cliffhanger?!? I may need a chiropractor from the whiplash of that ending. The plot is heating up and things are starting to get good. I hope that Sela gets vengeance on All the rapists, not just JT, since the last two books have just been focusing on him. I would be a little saddened by that. can’t wait till next read
really enjoyed listening to this on Audible. The voices really brought the characters and book to life.

Very thankful this series was complete when I started reading. I couldn’t imagine waiting for each release. I was left just as heartbroken as Sela was at the end of Sugar Daddy and was dying to see if Sela and Beck could work their way back to each other. Fast paced and full of surprises. Read it in hours and cannot wait to see how this series ends.

AHHHHHH!!!! Another cliffhanger!!!
I really liked this book, regardless that it is a cliffhanger again!
Sela and Beck are trying to get JT to buy out from the sugar bowl so they can turn him into the police for the rape of Sela 10 years ago.
The ending of this book, through me for a loop! I did not think that Sela would actually shoot JT, but he was getting ready to choke her to death. That is where they left it. Sela showing back up at Beck’s house covered in JT’s blood. End of book. Damn cliffhangers…..lol.
This book was still worth the read and I am so excited to go to the next book!!

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL F*ING CLIFFHANGERS!!! I knew it was coming. Sawyer Bennett clearly identifies in BOLD that Sugar Rush ends on a cliffhanger. Yet, it still managed to keep me on the edge of my seat until the last second and then rock my world. After which I proceeded to curse like a damn sailor, pace up and down the room and body slam my kindle.
Sugar Rush picks up right after Sugar Daddy ends. If you haven’t read Sugar Daddy, just stop right now and go read it. Not only will you not completely follow but you will miss a lot of back history between Beck and Sela. I’m not going to recap anything from this book because it directly ties into events that happen in book one. Instead, I will continue to rant about my new found love obsession with both Beck and Sela.
I’m so invested in these two and their story. Let me start with Beck. Could he get any better? Sure, he made a pretty heavy mistake and hurt Sela more than he could ever imagine but he did everything in his power to make sure she knew that he was there for her. That he loved her.
“Everything I do is with the idea in mind of solidifying my future with her.”
Who wouldn’t want someone in their life like that? In Sugar Daddy we learn how strong and fierce Sela is. She was full of anger and seeking revenge. She was blinded by hatred. Then Beck came into her life and that tough exterior started to crumble piece by piece. In this book, we get to see a more vulnerable side of her. A side that many people can relate to.
“I need you to show me that you believe I’m strong, and beautiful, and as tough as bricks. If you don’t believe that about me, I won’t believe it about myself.”
It’s so raw and honest. Exactly like the way their relationship has turned since they first started.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It’s a bit raw, a bit angsty and a bit heartbreaking. There are plot twists in here that will keep you on your seat. It’s a quick read with one hell of a cliffhanger. I absolutely cannot wait to read Sugar Free and find out the rest! Well done, Sawyer. If I wasn’t fully invited after Sugar Daddy (I was) then I absolutely am now.

Can I just say holy snickerdoodles? Because HOLY. FREAKING. SNICKERDOODLES!
I want to give this all of the stars!!! 5 just aren’t enough.
I was dying to get my hands on more Sela and Beck and good god did Sawyer deliver.
I absolutely loved their dynamic of watching them “fall” apart and then come back together stronger than ever. As much as I was rooting for Sela and her vengeance plot against JT, I wanted him to suffer more. To feel the pain and regret for what he did to her and more than likely many others.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and I do not want to give too much away before the release.
But this is a definite must read!

SUGAR RUSH starts out right where SUGAR DADDY (Sugar Bowl #1) left us…on that major cliffy, when Beck slammed the door in Sela’s face because he found out the motivations behind their first encounter, which left us readers gasping for answers! Will he let her explain? Will he forgive her? Will she get her revenge? WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
This book was about putting secrets out in the open and healing from past experiences…cleanse and purge of one’s soul. And as a result, find true love and hopefully happiness. But in order to find peace and happiness, first Beck and Sela must get retribution.
Let the scheming begin…
Sela’s original plans of revenge against JT (and the others involved) has changed (slightly). She still wants revenge, but there’s another obstacle at play now. She’s involved with Beckett North (JT’s business partner) and now she has to figure out a way to take JT down without Beck (and his company, the Sugar Bowl) feeling the ramifications of that fallout. “One thing I’ve managed to understand with great clarity is that Beck has now become the most important thing to me. While I still need to seek justice for myself, I need it with keeping myself safe and ensuring that Beck comes out with no damage. Ideally, that means having the Sugar Bowl intact and untainted before JT is made to pay for what he did to me. In this respect, Beck and I have formed a partnership, so to speak, whereby we both can achieve out goals.” –Sela. After finding out Sela’s true motivations behind her hate for JT, Beck is determined to avenge Sela in any means possible, no matter the costs. She and Beck begin strategizing a plan together. But right when their plans start to fall in to place and it seems they have JT right where they want him, new revelations come to the surface and the fall out could be detrimental. Will they get theirs or will JT walk free, again?
Gambling.
Bookies.
Debts to be paid.
UFC fighting.
Scheming.
Justice.
Love.
Revenge and Retribution.
“Two souls who have preferred to be alone for holidays past, now bonded through circumstance, passion, and a focused need for revenge.” –Beck.
SUGAR RUSH had all that and then some! I felt like this installment was the “cruise control” to Beck and Sela’s story. (This is a good thing!) The pace was slow and steady and kept the reader intrigued until the very end. The unfolding of the storyline and the character development in this book just added another layer of awesomeness to this series. I’m anxious to see where Sawyer Bennett takes us in the final installment because once again, that cliffy, KILLER!
SUGAR RUSH was the set up for the grand finale, which is SUGAR FREE (Sugar Bowl #3) coming out October 11, 2016.
Actual Rating 4.5
