Zeke is the older man. The richer man. The man who plans to give Korey the world. As MMA’s Light Heavyweight champion, Zeke’s million-dollar matches and multi-million-dollar sponsorships have given him the freedom to do whatever he likes. It pleases him to spoil Korey. Before Zeke’s best friend Charlie was deployed two years ago, he made Zeke swear he’d care for his brother Korey if anything … Korey if anything happened to him. When Charlie is killed by a roadside bomb, Zeke takes the young college student in, determined to give him everything he requires to succeed. He never expects to end up hoping he can keep Korey under more than his roof. He needs Korey beneath him.
If Korey had been in his right mind after Charlie’s death, he would’ve turned down Zeke’s offer. By the time he realizes his mistake, he’s already addicted to Zeke’s powerful presence. He never meant to end up dependent on the man’s smiles and hot glances. The money, Korey could live without. The man has him hooked. There’s only one problem—neither man wants to cross the line from friends to lovers, ruining what they have.

I’m not a big reader of M/M romances, but these “sugar” books have hooked me. The characters are interesting and the steamy romances are well done. I’ve read about a dozen of them. They are short — 8 or 9 chapters — and most of them are basic love stories depicting how two flawed, hurting people can find each other and be healed by their shared love.
KU.
I’m a fan of May/December & MM – so I was happy to have KU suggest this series to me. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me. I admit that novellas are hard because it doesn’t give the author a lot of time to bring a story to life, but this really felt like an outline or rough draft of some kind. Things were repeated a lot (younger brother of friend) and other things came out of nowhere with no explanation as to why they were supposed to make sense (sits on his lap every night while reading?). A lot of the dialogue/interactions didn’t make sense in that they were in direct contradiction to whatever was right before.
Other books in the series are rated higher, so maybe when the author has a longer story it works better…
Bring on the sugar daddies!
What a fiery hot introduction to a brand new series by Charity Parkerson! Although a quick read, it packs a lot of heat to it and really enjoyed the story. Korey is so brave and strong; I just adore him. I must admit that I wanted to smack some sense into Zeke and fully supported the lesson he needed to learn. Plus, he could learn a lot from Korey who acted more mature than him. Thank goodness for friends who talk sense into you. Oh my gosh, the scene in the motel, I needed a cold shower after reading that. I loved the line “I took my pants off. You have to come home now.” I just know Maverick has a story to tell. I’m looking forward to reading about him and the others in this series.
Omgggggg i’m hooked to this series!!!
loved loved loved it!
Zeke is so hot for Korey but so worried with their age gap, that he almost lost the best thing that could have happened in his life… And Korey… OMG I love Korey… he is so honest and in love!
And they are so hot together!
4 out of 5 stars
Super quick intro to a new series – left me wanting the next book now!! This story focuses on Korey, a college student with no family, and Zeke, a millionaire MMA fighter significantly older than Korey. When Korey’s brother died, Zeke agreed to look out for him until he finished medical school — though he never planned to fall in love.
Korey is tired of fighting his feelings for the fighter and the story makes the reader examine life and what we choose to do with our time – at least it did for me.
This quick read really worked a lot into a few pages and I enjoyed meeting both of these guys and really can’t wait for Maverick’s story.

Do you honestly need more incentive to read this book? More you say? Fine you greedy bitches…
Korey has been hiding his love for MMA fighter aka his guardian Zeke for the past two years. He knows he’ll never be more to Zeke than his friend’s kid brother, but he still holds on to any bit of affection Zeke tosses his way.
Zeke has secrets he’s hidden from Korey…secrets he’s afraid will change their relationship. But sometimes secrets cause more harm than good, and in Zeke and Korey’s case, not being honest could cost them a love of a lifetime.
Charity Parkerson has put a lot of heart in this quickie novella! I am so ready for the next installment! Highly recommend!
