Following the death of her twin sister and the abuse of her sadistic ex-boyfriend, Lillian Gaines drove away from her home to flee her heart-wrenching grief. Exhausted, numb from sorrow, she drives into a snowstorm and ends up stranded on a Montana back road.
The last thing Doctor Mitchell Hoffstetter wanted was to put up a stranded motorist at his cabin, but seeing the bruises marring Lillian’s … Lillian’s face stifles his irritation. He couldn’t help offering comfort when her grief kept her awake, and for all her sass and independence, she succumbed to his commands and touch without pause. They went their separate ways the next day unable to forget that one hour.
Mitchell soon discovers Lillian is living in the motel in town. He offers his garage apartment which leads to another opportunity to show she wasn’t as opposed to his dominance as she claimed. Lillian discovers a side of her she couldn’t control whenever Mitchell leveled one of those potent gazes her way and showed her ways of pleasure she never imagined she would embrace.
It takes a threat to Lillian’s life for Mitchell to admit his sassy, independent tenant and lover had found a way through his grief to his heart, but had they both waited too long to express their feelings or would he and their friends ride to her rescue in time for them to start over together?
This is book seven in the Cowboy Doms series but can be enjoyed independently.
Publisher’s Note: This contemporary western romance is intended for adults only. It contains elements of mystery, suspense, danger, sensual scenes, adult themes and power exchange. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

Doctor Mitchell Hoffstetter was the chief trauma surgeon at Denver Health. Unfortunately, after a long battle with cancer, there was nothing his skill or connections could do for his wife and submissive of eight years. After eighteen months he sold the house they had shared, resigned from his position, and moved to Montana. With the move, he decided to take on less stress with a position of family practitioner and make himself the promise to never allow anyone to get that close again.
Lilian and Liana were twins. They gone through every change together for thirty-four years, including burying their parents. Then Liana had a brain aneurysm that ruptured. Once the hospital got her stabilized she was taken to a long term care facility with no real hope of recovering. Six weeks later, Liana passed leaving Liliana on her own. If there was a silver lining in any of this, it was the fact she was now free of her abuser and ex-boyfriend, renowned neurosurgeon Doctor Brad McCabe who had used his threats to torture Liana if she were to leave him. Now that she was free of him she vowed never to give control to another human being ever again.
This is the first book by BJ Wane so I had no idea what to expect with the writing style, world-building, or character portrayal. Truthfully, the interactions between all Lilian, Mitchel and even the townspeople are so inclusive and relatable I felt like I was a part of things. I was lucky enough to receive this ARC from Booksprout. Now, I’m definitely going to need to backtrack and read the previous books to this series. This is my voluntary and honest review.
Lillian and Mitchell have one thing in common, grief. He’s bossy and she wants nothing to do with bossy men…been there done that with her ex. Try as she may, she insists that she’s not into kink. The good doctor knows otherwise. Mitchell wasn’t prepared for the stubborn and sassy Lillian to invade his life but she’s the reason he can finally start overcoming his loss to start living and loving again.
WoW, I am an Irish twin so I get and understand how you take care of your sister like Lillian did in this book. She put up with horrible abuse to make sure her sister has the care she needed but as soon as she is laid to rest she is out of the house. Or tried to be. Brad had other ideas. Lillian drives as far as she is mentally able and ends up crashing outside of Doc’s cabin in the woods. LOL in the snow at that. This book has some issues but as a whole, it is a really good read. I am sad this series is now over.
Two people who have lost someone they love could not be more different! Can they get pass those obstacles to find a new beginning or are they to different and lost?

Serendipitous storm
—>>> Lillian Gaines finds herself settling in the little town of Willow Springs, first by holing up with a man who has no choice, really, but to share his isolated cabin with her during a particularly nasty snowstorm, and then by kindness shown by the close-knit townsfolk. But it is not until the surly Mitchell Hoffstetter finds himself opening up his grieving heart that Lillian may begin to believe that they could have something beyond their wild attraction for each other. While they both carefully but willingly explore the possibilities brewing between them, either of their still-tangible pasts could end shutting down any hope of a relationship…for good. Both Lillian and Mitchell had moved away for fresh starts and to grieve their respective losses, and that part was well written, as was their curiosity for each other’s life-changing experiences.
I stumbled upon a series, this is book seven in the Cowboy Doms series. I have some back peddling to do but this book can be read on its own. Meet Lillian and Mitchell. Lillian is determined to move forward and leave her grief and an ex behind. Until she is stopped by a snowstorm where she meets Mitchell. Mitchell finds and helps Lillian against his original thoughts, especially after he sees bruises. These two attempt to separate but fate is insistent in getting these two together. Lillian learns more about herself and Mitchell as time goes by but can she make that final leap? A good story about a woman that needs to fresh start to find herself and find her own, true happiness. She just happens to find a strong willed, sexy, alpha male along the way that assists her. Enjoy!

WOW – what a story! This is my first book from this author and well I hate that I missed six books from this series already!!! Love me a DOM but these cowboys are something else. This book is about Mitchell and Lillian. Although they stories are sad to begin with, they end up with a very happy one! There is action in the book with men not knowing when to stop and hitting women, but it is also with a woman who is determined enough is enough. Mitchell lost his first love to cancer while Lillian lost her sister to an aneurysm. Their paths met up, but boy is Mitchell bossy, but what better than to give him a feisty woman to keep him on his toes. I love the book, yes if you’re not into the DOM/SUB then this might not be for you, but if you are, get ready to get heated up…

Filled with grief and fleeing an abusive boyfriend, our heroine gets into an accident, only to be rescued by our hero. He extends a helping hand, and then offers a bit stricter guidance for the future.
This is book seven in the series, but it stands perfectly well on its own. Feel free to start anywhere in the series.
This is an erotic romance story with elements of D/S and punishment (spankings). The story is well written and easy to read proceeding at a nice pace that is rather enjoyable. The characters are also well developed and have just the right amount of conflict in their personalities to really fit well together. Add in the suspense of the ex with the bits of steam we get and you have a very potent mix. Overall, I found the story to be quite engaging and it kept me turning pages to see what came next.
Highly recommended.

BJ Wane is one of my go to authors for a read that I know I’m going to enjoy. Of course, there are always some that I prefer over others because that’s how personal preferences work. This book, I enjoyed but didn’t love. We’re thrown right into Lillian’s really heart wrenching reality and are with her as she runs from her abusive relationship. Which brings her to Montana in a snowstorm & Mitchell. I adored Mitchell, who is already dealing with his own grief & loss but finds himself drawn to Lillian. Once he accepts this, he’s all in & (here I struggled) didn’t deserve Lillian’s unfounded unpleasantness towards him. This is just my personal feelings & while I did have sympathy for what she had gone through & was still going through with her grief, I didn’t find her particularly likable in her continual argumentative snarkiness.
This is one of those books that feels like the author had a word count goal and was going to achieve that in spite of the flow of the book. That said, Mitchell and Lillian’s story was an interesting on the usual abusive ex-boyfriend/saved by the Dom genre (yes, it’s a genre). I’ve not read any of the other books in this 7 book series, but you don’t need to. It can be read as a standalone. A good read.

I really loved Submitting to the Doctor, the Cowboy Doms Book 7! I fell in love with the bossy Mitchell and felt for him and his struggles to get past his first wife’s death. I also loved Lillian’s strong character and the stress and struggles she was dealing with, but I’ll admit she kinda drove me nuts sometimes with her second guessing and wishywashy thoughts! Oh but the play between the two, and the intense strong connection that kept the heat smoldering until it ignited into way more than either thought possible made up for me wanting to smack her! The super sexy kinky scenes were hot as hell and played perfectly into their story! I absolutely recommend this book as a delicious smoking hot HEA story! I have loved every book in this entire Cowboy Doms series and being able to revisit the other intriguing characters as they interact in all the books!
Lillian knew Brad, her husband was scheduled for surgeries all morning. She knew she wanted to leave him for good and never look back but as she was leaving with 2 of her paintings, he walked in and began to punch her in the face and kicked her in the ribs before she raised on her paintings at his head and she let him know she had pictures of all the times he brought abuse against her. She had just lost her twin sister, Liana . She drove to the bank, removed her money and then to a drug store to purchase supplies to fix her face and bandage her ribs. She drove on until she was in the worst snowstorm and ended up losing control and ended up in a snow drift. She is rescued by Mitchell and the rest of the story has a lot of twists and turns. You must read.

Despite the pain of the past a new future was waiting for them!

I found this book a rewarding read about two strangers who become isolated in a rustic cabin during a heavy storm. Both Lillian and Mitchell had lost someone they loved and were fighting a battle just to keep the pain of loss away. Mitchell was a Doctor and Dom, and he could see the pain Lillian was experiencing both physical and mental. Lillian was a woman who had suffered at the hands of a domineering ex-boyfriend and was determined not to submit to Mitchell’s high handed ways no matter how attractive that man was. It was the interaction between these to characters that had me engrossed in this story. Despite the pain of his past, Mitchell was attracted to the woman who now occupied his thoughts. The attraction between them grew into a future that was happier and brighter for the love they had for each other.

Lillian: Her twin sister is dead, and now she has to go, she has no more ties here and Brads threat cannot hold her here no longer but before she goes brad comes home, the confrontation isnt good and she flees after been beaten. She drives till she nearly has an accident and is rescued by Mitchell, who has a cabin in the woods and needs alone time. There is attraction between them both but neither is willing to admit that to themselves.
After the snow stops and she is taken back into town where she befriends a few women who know Mitchell. She is introduced to the BDSM club, but its MItchell who shows her around and gives her a sample of what its like to submit to a Master. But un beknownst to Lillian Brads brother is out to find her and take her back home!!!!!
Totally enjoyable to read , i loved this story. I possibly havnt done it justice in the review, but i didnt want to give to much away for spoilers, it definately is worth one clicking.
5 stars
This is an excellent addition to the Cowboy Doms series featuring Mitchell, a Dom who is still grieving his dead wife and Lillian who has just escaped an violent/abusive relationship. Mitchell rescues Lillian from a car wreck and, because of a snow storm, they are stranded together for a few days. They are an unlikely couple but the longer they are together the stronger the attraction. The story deals with grief, an abusive relationship, an introduction to BDSM, and finally a HEA. This is a book that I loved and would highly recommend along with the other books in this series.
Mitchell is healing from loss of his wife and sub. A new town, slower paced life but still his heart has not healed to move past the loss, until a woman shows up on his doorstep with her own pain visible and the haunt of loss in her eyes. An amazing story of healing, trust and learning. A town opening their hearts to strangers to help in that healing. I loved the story and characters new and from previous books.

Mitchell just wanted a few days to mourn his wife but he ended up with Lillian, a spitfire who tests him at all things. When danger comes to town will they be able to figure out who’s behind it?
Love, loss and acceptance play a huge role in learning how opposites attract and can find love together.
