Following the death of her twin sister and the abuse of her sadistic ex-boyfriend, Lillian Gaines drove away from her home to flee her heart-wrenching grief. Exhausted, numb from sorrow, she drives into a snowstorm and ends up stranded on a Montana back road.
The last thing Doctor Mitchell Hoffstetter wanted was to put up a stranded motorist at his cabin, but seeing the bruises marring Lillian’s … Lillian’s face stifles his irritation. He couldn’t help offering comfort when her grief kept her awake, and for all her sass and independence, she succumbed to his commands and touch without pause. They went their separate ways the next day unable to forget that one hour.
Mitchell soon discovers Lillian is living in the motel in town. He offers his garage apartment which leads to another opportunity to show she wasn’t as opposed to his dominance as she claimed. Lillian discovers a side of her she couldn’t control whenever Mitchell leveled one of those potent gazes her way and showed her ways of pleasure she never imagined she would embrace.
It takes a threat to Lillian’s life for Mitchell to admit his sassy, independent tenant and lover had found a way through his grief to his heart, but had they both waited too long to express their feelings or would he and their friends ride to her rescue in time for them to start over together?
This is book seven in the Cowboy Doms series but can be enjoyed independently.
Publisher’s Note: This contemporary western romance is intended for adults only. It contains elements of mystery, suspense, danger, sensual scenes, adult themes and power exchange. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

While this author is known to write panty melting scenes, this book was light in that way as the story focused more on both Lillian’s and Mitchell’s mourning of people close to them. I liked the maturity of both characters, Lillian’s sassy personality and Mitchell’s patience with Lillian and her introduction into the lifestyle. It was interesting catching up with characters from previous books. I would have liked a longer ending as I felt it wrapped up too quickly. This was a quick read that I finished in an afternoon.

Strong determined until meeting her match.
This was a great addition to the Cowboy Doms series. I have enjoyed each book that I have read. In this one, Lillian finds the help she did not know she needed in Doctor Mitchell Hoffstetter. Both of these characters have had major losses and problems and the relationship that grows between them made for an engaging read. There is danger too so as steamy as it was the steam was placed in one very well-written tale. This is a BDSM romance so if that is not your cup a tea, stay away from this book but if that is not a problem for you I highly recommend the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Meanwhile she is getting closer to Mitchell and finding him being a Dominant was a little hard for her since she was not a submissive. Twists, Turns, Kidnapping, and Discovery
This book has triggers for some people as it does contain physical abuse
This is another great book in the Cowboy Dom Series. Lillian has just lost her twin sister and left her ex and runs away. Mitchell has moved to Willow Springs after the death his wife. Now you will have to read this excellent hot book to see how they get together. Enjoy.
A steamy sizzling romance read with lots of emotion and heat level. I loved Lillian’s character she had strength and will that brings the unexpected emotion for BJ, alpha male throughout with an unexpected emotion that comes out as their chemistry play out. I enjoyed the storyline and the delicious loving that made for an entertaining read. This was my first read by the author and it did not disappoint. I can’t wait to discover her other books in this series.
Submitting to the Doctor is the seventh book in the Cowboy Doms series. While it could stand alone, there are a lot of characters from previous books in the series. Lillian is finally free of her abusive ex, but during an unexpected snowstorm, she crashes her car. Luckily, Mitchell heads the crash and comes to her rescue. She wants nothing to do with his dominance, but he can’t help but give her what she needs. Will their opposite views and messy pasts draw them together with love and healing, or are they fundamentally just too different to find a future?
My heart was pounding during this entire book, with the chemistry between Mitchell and Lillian and the suspense woven within the pages, I just did not want to put this book down! Seriously, I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this book, it was just so good and captivating! Lillian was strong down to her core, with a huge heart and lots of loyalty, but her past with her ex and the pain of losing her twin sister drive her strongly. It was beautiful watching her learn to trust and open up to Mitchell and his dominance. I loved Mitchell as her doctor, her friend, her protector, and her lover. He found the best ways to challenge her, pushed her a bit past her limits, but never too far and was always there to catch her. Their scenes together were hot, full of chemistry, tension, sass, a bit of angst, and eventually trust and love! I can honestly say that I was surprised there was no medical play in this book, but I loved their scenes and thought they fit perfectly with this romance! Add in the suspense and I was completely hooked from page one. This series has been amazing, dreamy, steamy, and had me on the edge of my seat, and this book was no exception!
One accident brings Lillian and Michell into each others lives. They have both suffered a devestating loss in their lives. While initiallly they rub each other the wrong way, soon they find the right way to.
Each has baggage from their lives and neither have completely accepted their loss.
It will take her past rearing it’s ugly head, and the danger and possible death it brings for them to clearly see their feelings for each other extend far past passion, lust D/s and BDSM.
Well written relatable characters in an emotional story filled with angst, growth, heat, chemistry, love and a fantastic story!
Two broken, grieving people find solace and love together!
Lillian is on the run from her abusive ex-boyfriend immediately following the death of her sister, and ends up crashing into a ditch in the middle of a blizzard, near the hideaway cabin of Dr. Mitchell Hoffstetter, a dom who is quietly marking the first anniversary of his wife’s death. Of course he rescues Lillian, and their few days stuck in his remote cabin are enough to both ignite the flame of attraction and to convince them both that there’s nothing even close to compatibility on which to build a relationship.
As Lillian settles into the small town, she’s convinced that she could never be happy in the role of a sub, and despite her attraction to Mitchell she knows she can’t be what he needs. But Mitchell is determined to expose her to the club so she knows exactly what the whole scene entails, believing that she can’t say she wouldn’t enjoy it unless she’s tried it first.
The romance that builds on their friendship is solid, but the physical aspect of their relationship didn’t feel honest on Lillian’s part. She’s wildly attracted to him, but he’s made it so clear that any kind of intimacy will always be in their dom/sub roles. It seemed to me that she convinced herself she could accept those terms because that’s the only way she would be able to have a relationship with Mitchell. I would have felt their relationship was on a more solid foundation if she were able to embrace the dom/sub lifestyle for herself, or if Mitchell had been able to relax his approach outside of the club scene. As it was written, it felt like Lillian was compromising something she believed strongly about herself, because the alternative was not having Mitchell at all.
Still, they have a wonderful HEA after decisively dealing with a villain from her past – and not the one you’d expect. Their love does a beautiful job of comforting their grief, giving them both a much-needed fresh start. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I really liked this book. The story line offers a wonderful blend of heat, heart and suspense. Lillian and Mitchell were very likable and I thought that they worked so well as a couple. I loved seeing these two deal with their baggage and find happiness together.
We are finally at book number seven of BJ Wane’s very hot and steamy Cowboy dom series. This is the book that I’ve been very impatiently waiting for. We finally get to Dr Mitchell Hofstetter’s book. He’s been mourning the loss of his wife for years, and made the move to Montana to get away. Lillian runs from a crazy ex and ends up in MItchell’s arms. I don’t want to give too much away. (spoilers…yuck!) But these two have a lot of demons to get through before they can get together, including the brother of Lillian’s ex, who wants to be sure that Lillian can’t get his brother into any kind of trouble.. So he’s tying up loose ends.
As always, I just loved the characters and the return of past characters from past friends in the series, but I was wanting so much more.. ( I could say THAT about pretty much all the great books I read!)
I loved this book! Lillian is a strong determined woman who knows what she wants. Mitchell is a dom who lost his wife to cancer and is trying to find joy in life again. Lillian flees her home after her twin sister dies and her ex beats her. She ends up in the same town as Mitchell and they get together. Lillian doesn’t like his business, but she loves his control during sex. There are a few bumps for them to get thru, but there is a HEA. I loved the check in we have with the couples from previous books. It was fun seeing their relationships moving forward. I recommend this book and the whole series! This is another great BJ Wane read. Lillian is a fantastic character; she is strong and courageous, and she makes a great foil for Mitchell. There were times I felt he needed a smack upside the head, but his general behavior definitely overshadowed those times. As always, some of the other Cowboy Doms make an appearance, which is great for long-time fans of this series, but this is a definite standalone for those that aren’t. My only gripe is that this book could have been a lot longer; I resented having to say goodbye to the characters!

I love this series. The characters are real, with issues we all can relate to.
Dr. Mitchell Hofstetter lost his wife/submissive to cancer two years ago. He decided to relocate to Montana and take a less stressful position.
After her twin sister passes away, Lillian drives away until she is in a car accident in a snow storm where Mitchell rescues her. She and Mitchell have to work on their differences but do get a HEA.

Enjoyed the story. Some mix up of character in certain sections, but still a good story.
Submitting To The Doctor is the seventh book in BJ Wane’s Cowboy Doms series. Doctor Mitchell Hoffstetter becomes reluctant hero to Lillian Gillespsie, who is not only mourning the death of her twin sister, but is also escaping a bad relationship. This author had a lot of great BDSM series. In fact, BJ Wane’s Virginia Blue Bloods series got me interested in the genre. Can be read as a standalone.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Lilliana’s trying to protect her twin sister from her abusive ex who was blackmailing her to move back in with him. After her death she was free to leave him, but he came home early and tried to stop her. He beat her by kicking her and giving her a black eye. When she retaliates, she kits him in the head cutting him and is able to escape. She ends up in Montana and stranded in a snow storm at Dr. Mitchell’s cabin for several days. A well written storyline and wonderful characters that drawn you in. There’s dealing with grief, differences in opinions, his dominant nature, her dislike of bossy men and a deeep attraction they both deny. Great read!

This story is actually quite OK but I ended up speed reading a good part of it as it felt drawn out and too extended. The story as such is good but could easily shrink down by a chapter or two. Despite liking it, I cannot give out more than beautiful three stars. This is just my opinion and I hope that you still give it a chance, read it and give it your opinion too.
