Sherrilyn Kenyon’s most highly-anticipated novel in the New York Times bestselling Dark-Hunter series since Acheron is here–the unforgettable story of Styxx, Acheron’s twin brother and one of the most powerful beings on earth Just when you thought doomsday was over . . . Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has … destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge.
As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother’s side. They’ve spent more centuries going at each other’s throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he’s willing to trade his life and future for Acheron’s.
The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. But it was never a task she relished. Until now.
She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line. Styxx and Acheron must put aside their past and learn to trust each other or more will suffer.
Yet it’s hard to risk your own life for someone who once tried to take yours, even when it’s your own twin, and when loyalties are skewed and no one can be trusted, not even yourself, how do you find a way back from the darkness that wants to consume the entire world? One that wants to start by devouring your very soul?

The thing I love most about Sherrilyn Kenyon’s books is she shows that just because you think you know the whole story, doesn’t mean you known the whole story.Their are always two sides of the story and that’s what we learn from Styxx’s side.I will admit I hated styxx,I thought that he could of stopped the abuse that Acheron indured, but in his …
I recently re-read this after re-reading Acheron. It’s a great companion to Ash’s story and it’s great to learn Styxx’s equally heartbreaking background. I like that SK didn’t take the easy way out with the brother’s tortured and twisted relationship. A must read for SK fans and anyone who likes in-depth characters arcs over multiple books.
This may be my favorite book of all time. If you have read the books in this series you probably really dislike Styxx. After reading this book you may fall in love with him. I know I did and I like him a whole lot better than Acheron now. I can’t describe all the feelings I went through while reading this. I can tell you I cried and had my heart …
This book proves that you should never judge a person without knowing them. I used to hate Styxx but when I started reading his book it didn’t take me long to realise that there is more to him.
This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will leave you feeling drained afterwards but with respect for the character
When Styxx was first introduced in this series he was the villain. We now get to see that his life was just as horrific if not more so then Acheron’s. This book is so heart wrenching. Most of the book you see the true horror of their lives. Bethany is the love of Styxx’s life. They first meet when he is only 16 and had all but given up on …
I thought Acheron made me cry… Man Sherrilyn Kenyon be coming for your tear ducts bruh… I love these stories so much but they damage me so I can only read them once every two years. (I like to revisit my friends). AMAZING BOOK!
Raw.
Amazingly heart wrenching
Styxx is probably my favorite book of all time. As a fan of the Dark Hunter series, I though Acheron would be the “it” book of the series. But, I cannot stress this enough, Styx is the cream of the crop. The author took the villain and made him human with a beautiful tortured soul with a story that needed to be told. I cried actual tears reading …
I love this entire series! You need to read them in order from book one!
I started out hating the main character of this book and the author completely changed my mind. I not only fell in love with Styxx but he is one of my all time favorite characters.
Love the Dark hunter series
Woah, I never expected Sherrilyn to endear Styxx to me. But, as per usual with Sherrilyn’s characters, not everything is truly as you see it. These characters have dark, tragic pasts that you simply can’t comprehend or imagine. Styxx is right up there beside Archeron as a favourite read for me. Well done S.K…
The only book to ever make me uncontrollably sob like a baby, every single time when I read it.
Styxx is my book goals. Awesome character and absolutely heartbreaking. My top recommendations.
OMG! Way to turn bad guy into great guy. Absolutely loved this book!
So holy crap, huge freaking book. And I was seriously excited to see the other half of the story, even though I went into this book disliking Styxx. Of course, because his past is even more heartbreaking than Acheron’s, you feel so much for him. And while I liked Ryssa in Acheron, this book she’d a whole different light on her. Other than some of …
This was an amazing story. It took the perceptions carefully crafted throughout the series and cemented in the book Acheron and systematically destroyed them, perfectly illustrating the author’s lesson in assumptions and individual beliefs.
A true masterpiece in my opinion.
Loved it
This is my favorite book I have ever read. I definitely recommend this book. Styxx is so sweet and adorable even after all the horrible abuse he suffers. You definitely want to have plenty of tissue on hand. You will cry for him and just want to gather him up and hold him. I absolutely love Styxx!!
I. LOVE.
