From a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author comes an unexpected romance about trying to resist the irresistible… hot stranger. Maybe, just for tonight, Mac can pretend to be a girl she’s not. After all, she deserves a little no-strings fun…
As far as Wesley Porter is concerned, one night with Mackenzie isn’t nearly enough. She’s a mystery he wants to solve—if he can keep her from running for the door every time they touch. There’s obviously some serious chemistry between them, so why is she fighting it?
As one sexy hookup turns into another (and another), Wesley is determined to prove they were made for each other. But Mac has been hurt before, and she refuses to fall for this sexy, ridiculously perfect guy. In fact, she has every intention of fighting it…unless he can convince her otherwise.

This is the second book from the Fluke My Life Series, that involves Mackenzie (she’s the oldest of the Reed sisters) and Wesley, Levi’s partner in the police department. These two have a funny, sweet, low angst with insecure moments, as well as sexy, tender, loving moments
Their love story may have started unconventional, with their one night stand but it soon progressed into something more; something these two sure as hell hadn’t expected but at the end, turned into their happily ever after
They didn’t change for each other, they stayed true to themselves even in moments of doubts, but at the end, they accepted they were made for each other 🙂
The side characters were funny, especially when Fawn, Libby and Mackenzie got together, lol, but also their family were always united no matter what 🙂
I can’t wait for Libby’s story! We’ve gotten some details and hints about her during Mackenzie’s story and I’m dying to know more about her and intrigued about who her love interest will be 🙂
I love a lot of what Aurora Rose Reynolds writes. I fell in love with the crazy Reed family in Running into Love, so I was anxious to get Mac’s story after reading that (especially after the Thanksgiving scene).
Mac, the oldest Reed sister, is having a lot of trouble in the love department. She finally decides to date again after realizing that nothing is going to come of her long-time crush, when she is stood up. She stumbles, literally, into Wesley while waiting for her no-show date. Their chemistry is instant, and when they find that they have common friends.
I really enjoyed this book. I found I related well to Mac, and Wesley had such a good heart. I can’t wait to read the last Reed sister book when it’s released!
What they both thought was going to be a one night stand turned into something more.
Mac and Wesley meet one night out at a bar. After a night together Mac ends up leaving her phone there. She tries to be stealthy with getting the phone back but wasn’t expecting Wesley to show up. They end up having another night together and the next day Mac flees. Fast forward to Thanksgiving and they end up seeing one another when Mac realizes Wesley works with her sisters boyfriend and turns up for dinner. They see one another again when Wesley tracks her down at her job and gets Mac to agree to go on a date with him and explore this chemistry they have. At first Mac is skeptical and isn’t about to get burned again but Wesley is determined to prove to her that he is the right man for her.
Loved this second book. It was so sweet and swoon worthy. You have to go read this if you have not already.
Audio review:
So the previous story hinted at this relationship but, my goodness, Wesley and Mac were hooot!
Lust at first sight, with a bit of tension after their night together.
Mackenzie might be a strong, independent woman but she has been burned.
Wesley is caring, loyal and fiercely protective.
Can they both stop running and take a leap of faith?
Find out by reading/listening to this book.
Oh, and shout out to Miss Ina for the laughs!
Alexander and Carly once again narrated superbly.
Holy hell, this book has set my heart on fire!!! It was super fluffy, super cute and super hawt!
Stumbling into Love follows Mackenzie, Fawn’s sister, and Wesley, Levi’s partner. I was wondering about those two ever since that Thanksgiving dinner in Running into Love where it was obvious those two already knew each other. I was curious about how these two met and what has happened between them.
It was actually really cute how these two met. Mackenzie has decided to go on a date after finally giving up on the guy she has had crush on for the last 2 years and the guy stood her up. Then in all his glory enters Wesley and the rest is history! Okay, that’s not completely true… They have bit of back and forth going on but once they overcome their differences, then there’s nothing that can keep them apart. I loved both of the main characters, but I especially loved Wesley. I love his dirty mouth, his ability to go after what he wants and his big penis (as Wesley kindly reminded us)!
Fawn and Wesley, as well as the rest of Mackenzie’s family, make an appearance, which of course brings in a lot of mischief. We are also introduced to Miss Ina, Mackenzie and Libby’s eccentric neighbour, who is super awesome and I hope she will make an appearance in future books. I am also super excited to see how will things develop between Libby and Antonio. I can feel the tension burning incredibly hot between those two!
This series is amazing if you’re in mood for something quick, light and cheesy, and something not riddled with angst!
Another cute read! Mackenzie and Wesley were trouble from the start. But the kind of trouble you can not wait to watch! Seeing as how Wesley is Mackenzie’s sisters boyfriend’s partner at work, it makes for an interesting Thanksgiving dinner! (which you already read some of in Running into Love). So now you get to read the story behind the odd looks across the table. And again… the Hero of this story is not a playboy. He had a troubled past that it seems like he was trying to run away from. And Mackenzie just doesn’t trust her own judgment when it comes to men since she just spent the last year or so pining after a guy that was already taken and she didn’t know it. All of these things com into play with them and since they started as a one night stand it made have an even harder time working on trusting and communicating with each other. This story was such a joy! I think everyone should get into this books… I am moving on to the next one…..
I listen to the audio.
I loved this second book in the series. Just as good as the second. Great characters. And a great ending.
Narrators were good. They added to the story. Not distract.
This is the second book in the Fluke My Life series. It is a standalone. But, we do meet, and get to know, Wesley and Mac in the first book! I do suggest you read it also.
They are both great reads!
The Reed Sisters are adorable. I just love their entire family. The sisters are each so different, but they are so very close. Their mom is completely nuts, but in a great way.
Mac is a tomboy. More male friends than female. I can totally relate to her so much. Her insecurities were the same as mine. We were just one of the guys, until the right one came along.
Wesley is Levi’s new partner. Why he moved from Seattle is tragic, and we do learn all about it. He was instantly taken with Mac. He’s a great guy.
I have to say that I absolutely love Miss Ina. she is an awesome lady. I hope to see more of her in LIbby’s book.
I think Libby’s book is going to be so much fun.
This is a fun series.
Stumbling Into Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds was a highly entertaining read!
Wesley and Mackenzie were the perfect blend of steamy and romantic. Right from the very beginning you could tell that these two had a powerful relationship. They were not only physically attracted to one another, but they had a connection that ran much deeper. They were able to understand one another on a level that no one else was able to. They understood each others insecurities and worries. Through this understanding, they were able to help one another grow as individuals, and truly become the person they wanted to be, and achieve their goals.
This is totally unrelated to my review and rating, but have you seen how gorgeous the covers are for this series!!! They are absolutely stunning! I could sit and stare at them all day.
5/5 Stars!
Mac aka Gorgeous is Fawn’s sister from the first book, Running Into Love, she is waiting for a date, but he doesn’t show. She meets Wesley and these two have instant hot af chemistry, which turns into an all nighter. She sneaks out early in the morning and Wesley doesn’t like it…at all. He tries to stop her, but couldn’t catch her. She leaves her phone, and has to go back to get it. Pretty sure you know where that lead, these two can’t keep their hands off each other.
This was a safe read, a tiny bit of ow and om drama, but these two handle it. OTT possessive alpha. She does some pushing away throughout the book. A shit ton of baby batter, that is hot af and points for actually using the phrase baby batter in the book, floved it. Always love the secondary/supporting characters, her parents, sisters and neighbor are always hilarious. Epilogue and an hea.
Another winner for me! *5 stars*
Aurora is one of my favorite authors and she always seems to amaze me with every book she writes and this one is no different. Loved Mackenzie and Wesley’s story.
Mackenzie is trying to get back into the dating scene but the man she’s supposed to meet doesn’t show up for the date and yet again she’s let down. But just when she thinks it’s the worst night of her life, she meets Wesley. There’s an instant attraction between them and after what seems to be a one night stand, they both can’t deny the chemistry they have but Mackenzie fears he won’t stay and doesn’t let Wesley too close. Slowly Wesley is trying to break down her walls, but will he succeed?…
“ . , , … .”
This quote really sums up what Mac and Wesley’s love story was all about. It was sweet, sexy, heartwarming, and hilarious. I loved the connection that these two characters had. I loved how they became best friends as well as lovers. Wesley’s alpha-vibe was delicious and Mac’s boldness just brought warmth to my heart. They were the absolute perfect pair in every way.

After reading most of the books from Aurora Rose Reynold’s Until Her series, I have truly fallen in love with her writing and didn’t think that I could fall any harder but I was soon proven wrong once I started her Fluke My Life series. The humor is refreshing and filled with spontaneity, the scenes are scalding hot, and the characters are amazing and after the second book, feel like family! I just knew after meeting both Mackenzie and Wesley in Running Into Love that they were going to be over the top with steam and complication!
Mackenzie Reed is a no muss no fuss type of girl who likes to spend time without makeup on, in sweatpants, with her hair in a messy bun. She has been burned by a crush before and is now weary of any relationship so when Wesley enters her life, he definitely has his work cut out for him. I actually feel a little sorry for him when dealing with the skittish and stubborn Mackenzie, but what is not to love about this awesome heroine? Besides Wesley is up for a challenge and Mackenzie gives it spades!
Wesley has that bad boy cop vibe working for him. All I know is this guy is all smoldering intensity and is not going to let Mackenzie run away. To bad he is only fictional because I would be willing to let him handcuff me to his bed and throw away the key for sure! Wesley had my libido and heart all kinds of worked up for him before his story was even started. I couldn’t wait to see him rock Mackenzie’s world and prove everything she thought she knew about men wrong!
Aurora Rose Reynolds did it again. She gave us a spectacular second story to the Fluke My Life series and gave our hearts, sex drive, and funny bone a run for their money! I highly recommend Stumbling Into Love for an emotional, extremely hot, and funny adventure into a love that is sure to knock reader’s socks off! The more I read Aurora Rose Reynold’s stories, the more besotted I am left constantly begging for another taste of her amazing characters and touching story lines.
What a fun summer read from Aurora Rose Reynolds. Stumbling into Love is classic ARR! Hot, hunky, alpha males and unique, beautiful, stubborn females. Mix them together with crazy parents and it comes out funny, delicious and delightful.
“Don’t you feel this thing between us? How strong it is? Do you think that I could just let you go without trying to find out what exactly it is?”
Mackenzie and Wesley both have their share of issues to overcome. Mackenzie is smart, beautiful and stubborn. She’s been burned in love so she isn’t so eager to stick her hand in again. Wesley has lost someone close to him so he initially feels like he doesn’t want more but that idea is snuffed out pretty quick.
“Until I met her, I have never experienced possessiveness before. I have never understood the need to claim someone, to Mark or Brandon. Yet that is exactly what I want to do with her.”
This was such a light and fun read! I flew through the book. It flowed really well and this series has definitely become a new classic for Aurora Rose Reynolds. If you want a “pick me up and take me away”- then this is for you. No one writes hot alpha/strong female/romantic love stories like Aurora Rose Reynolds! I look forward to the next book in the Fluke My Life series – Tossed Into Love. I think it will be Libby’s story!

#AlphaMale # HotAndSteamy. #StumblingIntoLove. #Romance #WesleyAndMac
This book picks up with some characters we met in Fluke My Life book #1. I love that the characters introduced in book 1 flow over into this book although Wesley and Mac are hinted at knowing each other when he is invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with his partner’s family and his girlfriend’s family.
Mackensie is floored when Wesley shows up for Thanksgiving dinner having been invited by his NYC detective partner. It’s all he can do to keep from simply reaching out to touch her. She has been constantly on his mind since the last time he saw her when she came to his apartment to pick up her phone she had left there after their first meeting when she ended up at his apartment.
The chemistry is smoldering between these two but the relationship is rocky because Mac is afraid she is reading more into his feelings than is actually there.
I loved that the story flows over from book one of this series and we are given a different view of some things that happen.
Mac and Wesley have some rocky times to overcome before they reach their HEA but with an understanding finally being reached they do reach it.
I liked this one a lot better than the first one. I really like Wesley and Mac. There was very low drama, it flowed nicely and it kept my interest throughout the whole story.
Wesley is a very logical man, “Why would I give you a shirt when I’m just going to take it off as soon as we get into bed?” I ask, raising a brow.” Wesley is such a man, “it’s hard to focus when your ***s are bouncing around like that,” I say. She smacks my chest and laughs. “There you go.” I loved this book, Wesley was all alpha and loved his woman fierce.

“ I know that nothing about us is traditional, but I’m okay with that as long as there is an us.”
Y’all! I really liked this book. So much better than the first in this series. I loved Mackenzie and Wesley from the first time they met. Mackenzie gets stood up for a date and she meets Wesley and sparks fly. They have one night together but Wesley knows that he wants more.
I liked Mackenzie. Her character seemed really honest and came off real. She had her flaws and didn’t just fall head first into Wesley which was refreshing.
Wesley was completely swoon worthy! I loved him so much. He was a classic ARR love interest. Unapologetically alpha, sexy, and captivating. Don’t believe me? See quotes below..
“This is more than just sex. I know I can’t keep my hands off you when you’re close, but I also can’t keep my mind off you when you’re gone.”
“Mackenzie has made me want those things for myself – a wife, a family, someone to come home to at the end of the day. She’s my best friend. A best friend I have unbelievable chemistry with.”
See! I couldn’t get enough of their dialogue. We didn’t learn much about Wesley’s past until the end but I felt like that went with the story to show how he learned to trust Mackenzie with his heart.
The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because of all the back and forth. There was way too much of that for me. I get that some stuff scared Mackenzie but she was more flighty than a scared pidgeon.
All in all, this book took me back to my obsession with ARR and her books. I can’t wait for the next in the series. I think it’s going to be about Libby and Antonio and I’m excited!
Stumbling into Love is the second book in the Fluke My Life series and if you are looking for a series that is full of angst, romance, drama and some seriously hot steamy scenes then this book is a must read for you. Mac and Wesley literally stumble into each other and an instant attraction and the feeling of safety and protection takes over. When what should have been just a one night stand turns into feelings and obsession these two will struggle with facing up to what they want especially when Mac’s first instinct is to run to ensure she protects herself from getting a broken heart. Their story is one full of past issues that will need to be resolved for these two to firmly move forward and grasp a future that is written in the stars. This book is such a sweet love story that you will not be able to help yourself but to fall in love with their story and their characters.
Perfect title for this book considering how they meet. I loved the story overlap of Thanksgiving dinner from Running into Love, but now having it from Mac and Wesley’s point of view. Their families never make for a dull read, especially Mac’s mom.
These two were so much fun to read. Wesley, of course, screws up majorly. And watching him try to get back in good graces with Mac is not to be missed. I’m really loving this series and absolutely can’t wait to read Libby’s book.
