Ugh, Christmas. Not a fan. So why am I wearing a Santa suit and letting frisky moms paw me at a reindeer ranch? It might have something to do with the family crisis that drew me home between tours as a career Marine. Or maybe it’s my urge to cozy up with the prickly reindeer rancher whose curves give me visions of something way hotter than sugarplums. Jade King isn’t thrilled I’m here, and she’d … King isn’t thrilled I’m here, and she’d be less thrilled to know her sister hired me to keep an eye on things. Someone’s set on sabotaging the ranch, so I’ve got a built-in excuse to get close to Jade.
I could swear the attraction’s mutual, but something’s holding her back. Some secret in her past that has her pushing me away like a bad batch of eggnog. It’s almost as baffling as all these accidents at the King sisters’ place. Seriously, who’d screw with a reindeer ranch?
Between sexy Santa suit malfunctions and risqué Christmas cookies, Jade and I keep ending up under the mistletoe together. Is there any chance we can mesh our Christmas wish lists, or will it all crash down like a fat man in a cast iron sleigh?

This book has a little of everything and a lot of heat! Tawna ties in realistic issues we’ve all dealt with-self confidence issues, family challenges, and work related concerns just to name a few-and adds a healthy dose of sexiness that adds up to a great book. The humor laced throughout will keep you (almost) as entertained as the chemistry between Jade and Brandon. This is a great holiday read you won’t be able to put down!
Full disclosure: I’ve been a fan of Tawna Fenske’s work for years now, and I know I can always count on her for a great read. And “Studmuffin Santa” is no exception. One of the things I love so much about this book (and all Tawna’s books, for that matter) is that she is writing about to real, flawed people. The characters, Jade and Brandon, feel authentic. They act like regular people, and talk like them, too. For me that makes the story all the more engaging. I was also really interested in the setting. Oregon in winter sounds lovely, but add reindeer to the mix and it gets even better. There were just enough reindeer facts to make it fun, but not too much that it overran the story. And what a sweet story it is. While the book isn’t quite as long as some of her other work, Tawna manages to pack quite a punch of emotion into it. It has lots of funny moments, but the more serious aspects really got to me. The characters deal with childhood trauma, illness and letting go of past hurts. I actually teared up a time or two. It really is a feel-good story with a wisp of Christmas magic (and a few hot and sexy times!) added in. I highly recommend it.
Brandon Brown wouldn’t be Jade’s first choice for Santa, he’s everything Santa is not, he’s gorgeous, has a finely tuned body, and has some serious sex appeal… but her sister seems to think he is just what they need to get their business off the ground and running. With him around there is sure to be trouble, men like him seem to attract attention, attention that she is sure won’t help her new business… not to mention he is a constant reminder of her hurtful past. But, after a few weeks at the sleigh, he begins to prove her wrong, he is a hit with the customers… and maybe even her too!
Studmuffin Santa is a whimsical and sexy holiday tale that is sure to make your heart nice and toasty! The moment you meet this unlikely pair you will fall for them, they are brought together for the sake of business, but they soon start to realize there maybe another reason too… they have some serious chemistry!! Their story came with so many moments that I could relate to, appreciate, and swoon over, I loved my time with them! Highly recommend you get your hands on this sexy little literary gift, you will be thrilled with what you unwrap!!
