From Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Landish.I’m so done with men. I don’t care if he looks like Ryan Gosling with a ten-inch cucumber in his pants and says he wants me to have his babies.Just, no. I’m done. I can’t pick them.To make matters worse, the real estate investment company I work for is on the verge of collapse. There’s one deal that can save it, and it’s … collapse. There’s one deal that can save it, and it’s all up to me. I make this deal or look for a new job.
Problem is, I’m competing with the arrogant jerk who started my whole bad luck streak with men.
His smoldering green eyes have haunted me for more than a year, and if it weren’t for his cockiness, I would’ve been screaming his name during our first encounter.
He’s the competition now, and I can’t let him get to me. I have too much to lose.
But what if I want to have my studmuffin and eat it too?
Stud Muffin is a full-length Romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!more
A beautiful mix of humor, silliness, steaminess, entertainment, and one deep and meaningful lesson. Hannah and Tony go on a journey of friendship, competition, and learning what truly matters. I absolutely enjoyed this book of “games”.
In this foray into the world of the Bachelors, Roxy’s friend, Hannah, and Oliver’s brother, Tony, engage in a battle for a huge real estate deal. At this point, it feels like we may need a relationship/family chart to keep everyone straight! Careers, family, and friendships are all on the line as Tony and Hannah vie for a beautiful Hawaiian estate.
Well edited.
Hannah is Roxy’s best friend. (see Heart-stopper) Tony is Oliver Steele’s brother. (see Mr. Fiance) And, Roxy’s sister, Mindy, is married to Oliver. See the tangled web? Hannah lands an opportunity to not only save her job, but those of the people in her division. Tony has had a string of disappointing real estate deals, and is hoping this opportunity will be the one to show his brother he is really capable. Tony and Hannah met at Oliver and Mindy’s wedding, but Tony put his foot in it, and got a slap in the face for his trouble. A year later, he arrives at the Hawaiian estate he is hoping to buy, only to find himself face to face with the girl he has been thinking about for the past year. Hannah and Tony are both shocked and dismayed, but determine to win the estate for their own reasons. The seller, Mr. Mobber, is quite the quirky character. He sets up several competitions to see which party he will ultimately sell his property to. Along the way, it becomes apparent that Mobber is trying to find out about the person and their character, not just who can win a given competition. In the end, who will be left standing with the contract? And will winning the property be the same as winning in life?
This one was pretty fun. The competitions had both sides fighting hard – and sometimes a little underhanded. In the end, the heart wins, but the journey is anything but smooth. Enjoy!
Hannah and Tony are a deliciously sexy duo! Hannah is done with men – how can she not be after the absolute bottom of the barrel fishes she has been pulling lately. Add to that having no real love for her job and she is in a life funk. She needs some sort of win to get her back on track – so when her boss wants her to take on an eccentric client to bid to buy his property she is going to do whatever it takes to get him to sign on the dotted line. When she arrives in the Hawaiian paradise she is blown away by the property, nutty as squirrel poop owner, and another treat and a half Tony Stone! She hasn’t seen Tony since she left him on the dance floor at Roxy’s wedding and he basically treated her like a dime a dance ho. What the ever loving heck is he doing here? Tony needs to close this deal to prove to Oli that he’s not reverting back to the screw up he once was. The very last thing he was expecting to find when he starting his pitch for this deal was Hannah. The one that got away and he hasn’t forgot about her – and now he’s got to compete against her for this property! That will certainly help to warm her to him… As they compete and vie for the land it seems the property has magical properties that seem determined to bring the pair closer together. They fall helplessly under each other’s spells, but they are both still here for a reason! All’s fair in love and war.
Stud Muffin by Lauren Landish a fun and fab five-star read. This is a stand-alone read but if you have read the equally amazing ‘Anaconda’, ‘Mr Fiancé’ and Heartstopper then you will see some familiar characters popping up, as Hannah Fowler and Anthony Steele met at the wedding of Roxy and Jake (The couple from Heartstopper), each of the stories features an Irresistible bachelor and amazing leading lady, they all pop up in each other’s stories and make a great background crew, they are all amazing read alone, and just bring a little extra something when you read them all.
Hannah has come to a point in her life where she is starting to think moving to a nunnery may be an option, she has had several disastrous relationships, and is now in a place where if she doesn’t land a deal in work her department may be closed. The only problem is the when she arrives to make the deal she discovers the person she is up against with the deal, is someone she wants to forget.
Tony Steele has always been known as a party boy, but he is desperate to change that. Working for his brother he hasn’t had the best of luck, but maybe now this huge deal can turn everything round for him. Tony can prove once and for all he can compete and win. But when he arrives to find a woman who threw a cup of punch at him last time they saw each other, his best laid plans go south.
This was a great story, the settings are fabulous and paint the background and settings for you, there is enough steam and passion to keep it fun, but not enough that it’s all you are reading. There are funny scenes that will make you giggle out loud. Any of the irresistible bachelor books are worth a read, but I have a special place for this book as the setting is amazing.
I am a huge fan of Lauren. And this series is one of my favorites. Another great read from her. It had everything in this book. I even laughed a few times. Tony and Hannah are adorable. Tony is kind of a jerk in the beginning but when Hannah and him reunite a year later, sparks fly instantly. I love their relationship. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!
