It started out like any other morning on the train. Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was¿God? Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it. When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out. I might have picked it … up. I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers. I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days–until I finally conjured up the courage to return it. When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me. So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office. I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though. I didn’t expect him to text back. I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell. I didn’t expect to fall for him–all before we even met. The two of us couldn’t have been any more different. Yet, you know what they say about opposites. When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract–we consumed each other. Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over. All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

I absolutetly love this story. Graham Morgan is my new bookboyfriend for a reason. Well, lots of reasons actually. I loved that I could read the story from the two perspectives. And narrator Joe Arden gave me all the good kind of goosebumps…
Since I loved the last two Vi Keeland books I read, I thought I’d check out Stuck-up Suit that she co-wrote with Penelope Ward and it did not disappoint. It had the all passionate and witty laugh out loud moments that I’ve come to love in my heroes/heroines, but this time in spades with these two authors joining forces. Add to that an original and realistic storyline and it was a page-turner for sure. Once I’m done with all of VK’s books, I’ll definitely be checking out PW’s next.
What can I say about this book except…well, it was everything I’ve needed for so long. Soraya and Graham have the perfect amount of playful banter, hot tension, affection, jealousy, longing…everything. I was in a reading slump and then BOOM! I couldn’t tell you which author wrote what. It’s like they share the stage at all times, and they are flawless at storytelling. I am jumping straight into the rest of this series. Thank you to Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward for bringing back my need to read.
One of my favorites – I just did a reread and it’s still great!
I loved this story! This is the story of Soraya and Graham. Graham comes off as a rich jerk. He drops his phone on the subway and Soraya, definitely not rich and not the stuck up tight either, picks up and returns it to him, no matter that it’s a few days late because she wanted to learn about this sexy jerk. Well he proves that he is a jerk when he turns her away when she tries to give it back to him at his work. She leaves a few pictures to show him how she feels about that and then the interaction starts. First it’s smart mouth texts but soon flirting happens and before they know they are entwined in a romance that is new to both of them. Then a shocker happens and it causes a shift in their newly fun romance. I don’t want to say anymore because that shocker I didn’t see coming. Suddenly this steamy romance read turned into so much. It became a book I could relate to. I have been where Soraya is and this book actually made me feel better about my own decisions. Soraya was an awesome female lead to follow. She was strong and independent and unique. I wasn’t surprised that Graham fell for. Graham also surprised me because he wasn’t the classical jerk. He just seemed that way. He had his own secrets and deep down he was just a sweetheart who had been hurt. Want to find out what I’m talking about? Read/listen to this book! I did see some negative reviews on the narration. I don’t get that at all. I loved it. Both characters made me full feel this book. They made me feel like I was watching a movie. As I listened to them tell this story I could picture it clearly. These authors created a great story and I am only said there isn’t more!
I’m rereading this series and forgot how much I freaking love it. Great, great books.
Read: 4/16/16
Stuck Up Suit is a collaboration between Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. It was well written with an entertaining storyline, well developed characters and an abundance of humor.
Soraya Venedetta: Beautiful, exotic, bold, sexy, intelligent, independent, quirky, snarky, and brazen. The quick witted Soraya with tats, piercings and bright colored hair tips is the exact opposite of the expected partner to the conservative and affluent financial adviser.
Graham Morgan: Dark, brooding, gorgeous, arrogant, rude, and wealthy. People don’t question Graham unless they expect abrupt and surly responses.
Soraya found Graham’s phone that he lost on the train. The impudent, flippant Soraya explored the phone until she found the man behind it. Never one to do the expected, she sent faceless sexy pictures to get back at him for his loud, rude behavior towards her. And the fun began!
Soraya and Graham exchanged feisty, saucy dissing through text while developing a flirty connection until they eventually meet face to face.
The authors weave us through the maze of their relationship, dipping into their amusing minds as they continue to banter and giving each other the unexpected. The plot has surprising twists and turns to keep us interested and captivated.
Stuck Up Suit was a fun and entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, their interaction and the overall storyline.
I look forward to future books from Keeland and Ward.
So cute and steamy. Oh Graham, he was so adorably sweet and freaking hot all in one. I loved him and Soraya because they complemented each other so well. This was a great collaboration between these to authors.
Chance is a funny thing…
I loved this one!! Soraya & Graham are sizzling, sweet, witty, tender, and a wee bit dramatic. But in the end, after dealing with some past come to the present, they finally find their HEA. And OMG, I want to slap is ex in the face. So annoying. But I loved this book and the narration, even if the male narrator always reminds me of Charlie Sheen.
I fell in love with Graham. Graham is by all accounts a stuck-up suit. He is a damaged, work-a-holic, who is mean and salty. He has built up walls so thick he doesn’t plan to let anyone in after he caught his fiancée cheating with his best friend and business partner.
Sariah encounters Graham on the morning train after he leaves his phone behind. While attempting to return it, she experiences the ‘wrath’ of Graham. Not standing for his behavior, she stands up to him.
What happens next is pure chemistry. This story is about a man who was hurt, deceived and betrayed in the worst way. He finds redemption in an advice columnist, who refuses to take his crap. Hold-on because this is an amazing story!
Soraya takes the train to her job at an advice column everyday. One morning she switches cars to avoid someone she had a disastrous date with and can’t help but over hear a very loud conversation Graham is having on the phone. Finding Graham’s phone he dropped getting off the train, Soraya decides to do some research to find out who he is. She snoops through his pictures, and decides to call the first contact listed. The impression that he’s not the nicest guy is confirmed, and made even more concrete when she shows up at his office to return the phone personally and he refuses to see her. Taking a few pictures and leaving Graham a less than nice message, Soraya thinks that’s the end of their interactions. Graham is intrigued by Soraya’s gutsy messages and pictures and wants to know more about her. Giving in and setting some ground rules of no sex and no one else, they start dating. Both have deep seated issues regarding love and abandonment, having been betrayed by people they loved. They have to decide if they can overcome their issues and stay together, especially when life throws them another huge curve ball.
I absolutely love both of these authors, especially their writing together. No, a millionaire in NY is not relatable to me at all, but that’s part of the draw of the book, it’s an escape. I completely understand Soraya and her plight regarding Graham and the abandonment issues surrounding her dad. I liked their relationship and how it developed, including all of their banter and interactions. I didn’t realize until now that this is the second standalone in a series, I had no problem following the plot of the book with out having read the first (maybe there’s character overlap I don’t know about), so it’s truly a standalone. This book definitely had me feeling heartbroken for both Soraya and Graham at different points. I listened to the audio, Joe Arden is one of my favorite narrators, this is the first book I’ve listened to with Maxine Mitchell, but both were excellent and really helped make the story.
I listened to the audio of this book and just wow. The storyline was fun and playful and the chemistry just jumps off the pages (or out of the speakers as the case may be). The narrators for this book add to an already great story. I’m hooked on all things Vi and Penelope right now.
I really enjoyed this book ,the story was great and i fell for the characters 🙂
I love Soraya ,she’s a fun character ,i love that she dyes her hair to match her mood and she gets tattoos and piercings on a whim ! she’s a firecracker and its awesome,i loved how she told Graham off for being a rude jerk (the little surprise she left on his phone was priceless) and when they start texting back and fourth 🙂 and it turns into more and they start seeing each other ,they don’t have much in common but they just work together ! when they find out that Graham has a daughter ,it really takes a toll on their relationship (not because of the kid but because Sorary thinks he still has feeling for his bitch of an ex,which he totally doesn’t) when she breaks up with him and made him believe that she cheated of him so he can have the family life (i was screaming don’t fu*king do it,not that she can hear me) but he finally figures out why she did it and it all works out in such a sweet way 🙂
I really liked Graham ,he’s an asshole at first but the more you get to know him the more you see that it is mostly an act and he sees what he’s doing when he gets called out by Sorary and it is great ,she doesn’t mince words and tell it like it is and its one of the things Graham loves about her ,he can be really sweet when he wants too and i loved that he never gave up on Sorary ,they make a great couple and i loved the ending to their book 🙂
Omg i could write a whole review on what a bitch Graham’s ex is but i don’t want to waste my time of this fictional asshole ! she’s freaking awful .
I love both Vi Keeland and Penelope Wards writing 🙂
I loved Graham and Soraya’s story. The characters are will developed and written their story is funny and hot and the chemistry is off the charts. They meet because our heroin finds the phone that are stuck-up suit drops on the train.
I loved that the heroin Soraya is strong and can put our heron in his place when needed. She has a smart mouth and multi-colored hair which the ends of it were dyed a different color depending on her mood, she is sassy, caring and independent.
Graham is Soraya’s opposite. He is gorgeous, rich, a bit arrogant and cocky. You can’t help but love everything about him. When he set his mind to something he gets what he wants. There is a softer side of our hero that most wouldn’t expect.
The plot flows and all the characters from the main to the secondary are well written and developed. I love how Vi and Penelope write our hero and heroin’s. They keep you engaged to the story and keep you wanting more. I couldn’t get enough of this book!
Format: Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this book. I like the ask ida column and how it was used to help graham and soraya communicate back and forth. Thought the tattoos they each got were very sweet and sentimental.
When Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward team up, you just know it’ll be dynamite. this one’s no different! I actually was not swept away from the beginning but oh boy, it crept up on me. I loved reading this book and the chemistry between Soraya and Graham was off the charts! you cannot help but fall in love with this story and the characters. I thought the story was well written and just sucked you in. it has everything: love, romance, heartbreak, hotness, …. 😉 You won’t be dissapointed if you love a good book where you can feel all the feels! another great collaboration of these two authors and really hope there’ll be another one…
I absolutely loved everything about this book. It wasn’t your typical opposite attract type of book. I was laughing, crying, frustrated, humored and fanning myself throughout. Yes it has fun lighthearted moments, tender and endearing ones, steamy moments, but also some great life lessons sprinkled in. It’s a must read!
Soooo dang good!! I really loved it! The characters and storyline were fun and enjoyable to read.
I started the book and by the time I realized it I had finished it.
I may have a huge fan girl crush on Vi and Penelope. It seems every hottie they write is my next Mr. (Don’t tell my hubby)
With an incredibly gorgeous cover model, they lure you in. But it’s hard to walk away once Soraya and MBP get their claws in you.
Is it a match made in heaven? No because an NYC train is pretty far from heaven. Is it the fairytale every little girl wants? No but then we all want something different.
What Stuck Up Suit is…is fun, sexy and annoying. Yes, I said annoying. I find it annoying when I want to shake characters until I can change their behavior. it’s life, but it’s annoying.
So have a little fun, get a little naughty, and enjoy the sexy banter that makes this books so tempting!
