Playboy. Gym rat. Womanizer. I’ve been called them all. Until one-night changes everything. Changes me. Trying to drown a broken heart in cheap whiskey and a willing body leaves me with the last thing I ever expected. All that matters now is my son. There’s no room for anything, or anyone else. Until her. A free spirit. A nomadic soul. She intrigues me. She excites me. She’s everything I never … me. She excites me. She’s everything I never knew I needed.
In the end, loving her was the easy part. It was letting her go that almost ruined me.
Struck is a surprise baby/single dad romance and can be read as a complete standalone.

Emma Louise has “struck” gold with this one. Stuck is a beautiful story about making lemonade from lemons, taking a negative and turning it into a positive, and taking chances. I fell in love with Breeze and TJ from the very beginning. Their love is genuine, pure and so dang real.
Story Line: TJ is on a downward spiral for starters. From page one we realize he’s not like most wealthy business owners. He doesn’t have this steel resolve that is nearly impossible to penetrate. He’s hurting because of the girl that got away. So he makes a choice that results in an unplanned pregnancy and the loss of that one night stand. So that choice he made 9 months ago has landed him as a single dad and that downward spiral? Well, TJ makes some bomb dot com lemonade, let’s just leave it at that.
Okay it took a billion words it seems for me to give the back story to our hero. Basically TJ owns a gym, that gym is hiring a yoga instructor. Insert Breeze. She ends up getting hired, and sparks fly like crazy. Breeze and TJ hit it off in an enemies to lovers sort of way. He’s a single dad, she doesn’t know what’s up with that, and let’s be real here, he’s a total jerkface to her. He’s that boy in second grade that liked you so he pulled your hair. Okay, he’s a bit more mature than that, but just barely. However, even through his moodiness, he is so easy to love. I mean, he’s a new dad. A dad who didn’t even know there was a baby on the way to begin with. We gotta cut him some slack. And Breeze is just the person to do that. Their path to forever isn’t on the straight and narrow. It takes some soul searching and gentle pushes and full out shoves for them to wind up together. But their story will leave you hot and bothered and fuzzy for long after you put the book down.
Interaction: Who doesn’t love a single dad who’s a total douche? I kid, I kid. But I promise you this, there will be moments where you will ask yourself, am I supposed to like this guy? But for those of you who have had children, we all know those first few months as a new parent, you are not yourself. You’re tired, you’re grumpy and you’re wondering how you’re supposed to take care of this tiny person AND yourself at the same time. So, we throw TJ some slack. And are rewarded handsomely. He transforms into the mega hottie dad who is so dang sweet and devoted to his woman it makes your entire body break out in goosebumps just thinking about it. So good.
Laundry: Oh my stars. Get a fan ready. Because EL brought the good stuff to Struck. When I say Breeze and TJ have chemistry, I am not embellishing the truth here, folks. The set the sheets on fire over and over again. The whole not keeping their hands off each other made my fingers zing with anticipation for their next romp. So. Dang. Delicious.
Depth: I love the level of complexity EL brings to her novels. It’s never just a simple love story. Because that’s really not how life goes. There are obstacles and misunderstandings and ex’s that all play factors in how they get to their HEA. And that’s REAL. That’s how life goes. If there weren’t bumps in the road, it wouldn’t be a realistic love story. And that’s what I adore so much about Emma Louise’s books. She brings the heat and sizzle along with a side of relatable that no other author can match. This book needs to be added to your library. You can send me a thank you fruit basket later.
This is the third book in this brilliant series, and each novel just keeps getting better and better. This is TJ and Breeze’s story. TJ is a single dad to his little boy, and Breeze is a yoga instructor. This is a beautifully written flawless story which is filled with drama, angst, emotion, heartbreak and is a humorous and steamy read. This is one of the best stories which I have read this year!! I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and strongly recommend her work for all readers.
Again Emma delivered another awesome read with this Flawed Love Series! Loved the age gap, loved the insta father! T.J and Breeze and Abel’s journey it was just beautiful read and an amazing ending! Can’t wait for more by this author!
TJ is a retired MMA fighter who moved home and opened a gym with his twin. He begins to spiral after his ex lover , Lucy, moves on. A one night stand turns him into a father and after the death of the mother leaves him raising the newborn alone. He luckily has support of his family, but he carries a lot of guilt over Abel’s mother. Breeze is 10 years younger and looking for a job to save to travel. She is hired on as a Yoga instructor part-time at the gym, putting them in close proximity. TJ struggles with his attraction to her. After offering her a job as a part-time nanny they begin to grow close. TJ does not want her to give up her dreams, but sometimes dreams change. Sexy older man, single dad, and fighter’s body, TJ is too much to resist. Sweet story of love and redemption.
Bree to TJ:
“Don’t you have any black sweats?” I blurt out, and I immediately want to pull my tongue out. I’m so freaking embarrassed.
“What?” he asks, looking completely bemused.
“Nothing. Ignore me,” I deflect.
“You have something against gray sweats?” Judging by the light in his eyes, he’s teasing me. This is new.
“I have something against other women seeing you in them,” I tell him, deciding to be honest, even if it does make me sound ridiculous.
“Really?” he laughs, sounding slightly incredulous.
“You have to know that gray sweats on a hot guy can make a woman lose her mind,” I reason.
My first read by Emma Louise, I will be reading more.
A simple story, an easy read but also emotional.
Need to read books 1 & 2 in the series.
There were some things I didn’t really care for in the beginning of this book, however once the story got going and the heroine was introduced it flowed a lot better for me. I hate their lack of communication caused problems for them, but they got through it quickly to tackle the next problem. I am curious about where the baby’s maternal aunt went and if she’ll come back.
Something not related to the actual book matter that bothered me was the change in font color. This happened multiple times and was distracting for me.
Original storyline with heart-warming characters. This book captured my heart. TJ is so sexy and swoony, I hope no one has claimed him yet because I just did. Struck is a sexy, feel-good romance and I think it is my new favorite in the series.
I have been patiently waiting for TJ’s story and Emma Louise took is to a place I never saw.TJ, the gym rat womanizer is about to have his world turned upside down and it’s was an often tragic, but beautiful story. Emma Louise is a writer that I so enjoy reading, her writing is flawless, captivating, gripping and oh-so-sexy! Seeing TJ grow into a better man, taking care of his responsibilities was such a turn on. He’s a really good guy!
I don’t just want more with you, sweetheart. I want it all.
The big part of the storyline would be a spoiler so there isn’t much I can say, but once again, Emma Louise has written a story that had me hooked from the first page. Sorry for the short review but I just don’t want to spoil Struck for you!
Out of all the books in the series, Struck is by far my favorite. I adored the concept and the redemption in this story. TJ, for all his bad boy ways, changes his life when is turned upside down. Unexpectedly becoming a father changed TJ in so many ways. Enter Breeze and omg I adore her character. She is sassy and witty and it is so hard for TJ to resist her.
What I adore about this story is that it is a pure romance story. There is passion and swoon worthy moments with a little drama from past loves but it is a story you can totally get wrapped into for its feel good moments. The connection that these two share is beautiful and I adore how TJ wants Breeze to fly in the world. Overall, this was a beautiful story that I could not put down!
This is my first book by Emma Louise and it will not be last. Single Daddies and new babies are your thing then this book is for you. I love characters that step out of the box, and Bree is that character. Good writing, good characters make Struck a book worth reading.
What a wonderful feeling you get after reading Struck! I feel like i’ve been stuck! Sweet and swoon! My ovaries exploded when reading about TJ and Abel! The whole story will give you a big case of the warm and fuzzies!!
I absolutely loved TJ! Emma Louise has done it again with her third book! When TJ becomes a single father his only focus is on his son. Breeze is independent and hard working and definitely not looking for love. This book has everything…love, laughs, sex, angst, and an amazing story! I highly recommend Struck!
I loved this storyline and the characters. I laughed, cried, oohed & aahed while I kept turning page after page until there were no more to turn. It was realistic reading the characters plights, jealously, anger, love, honesty and how family interactions are somewhat brutal.
TJ is drowning in his own misery. He’s hurt and using the ring to lash out in anger and on a particularly dark night he makes his biggest mistake yet. Unable to face his actions he continues down the same path until he comes face to face with his nightmare. Who do we turn to in our greatest need, our family and thankfully TJ’s family backs him 100%. He’s about to face his biggest challenge and have his life turned around.
Breeze has a dream to fulfil, travel the world and tick off her mums bucket list. What she didn’t factor into her life was meeting a brooding single father. She couldn’t resist those chubby cheeks, grey eyes and that mop of dark hair. They crept into her heart and she was unable to let them go, but they weren’t hers to keep.
