It’s time for some sexy feel good romance! Erin McCarthy hits it again with another fantastic, sexually charged romance read filled with happiness and hope. Fresh after her divorce from an unfulfilled marriage, Sloane returns to her hometown doubting if she can find happiness in herself again. With her 30th birthday coming up, her friends throw a surprise male stripper charity event and who else shows up but her borther’s annoying best friend. Sloan knows Rick, aka Little Dickie, had a crush on her in high school; there’s a cataclysmic kiss that proved it. But now Rick’s all grown up and made of every fantasy she’s ever dreamed of. But can Sloane handle the fantasy becoming a reality when Rick wants to have a fling with her?
Rick can’t believe his lucky stars, his high school crush has come home and she looks more gorgeous than ever. Top it off with the fact that she’s into no-strings attached sex with him and its every man’s dream come true. But with every touch and stolen kiss, Rick’s heart begins to fill with Sloane and he’s becoming hard pressed to find where their relationship starts and their friendship ends. Not wanting to risk losing Sloane, completely he’s been keeping her at arms length. Sloane is opening up to him in ways she doesn’t for anyone else, telling him her secrets and fears; and Rick feels himself opening up all the same.
This is a no frills, drama free romance. Yes there’s your typical will they won’t they confess their undying devotion climax. But every minute of this story is filled with happy romance. Its a for sure quick read that will make you giggle and squeal with our happy couple. And be sure to grab a glass of wine to cool off after some STEAMY and creative love scenes. Seriously Rick…can GET IT. A wonderful addition to the Erin McCarthy collection that boasts of her original styles of romance, with that new free-spirit, sexy side of raunchy romance!

Stripped Down is the first book in Erin McCarthy’s new series Tap That and if you like romantic comedies this is perfect for you. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series.
Sloane has moved back home after a difficult divorce and to be there for her brother and nephew, but Rick Ryder her brother’s best friend who has had a crush on her for years has decided that she needs to cut loose and have some fun. Fun with him! Can the once mean girl open up and share her feelings to those who should matter the most?
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

When the first line is that everyone should strip, you know it’s going to be a great book!
What a fun story that started with a benefit strip show in a bar and ends up being a great love story! Mean girl grows up and the guy she embarrassed really grew up in all the right places! And now he is determined to have her whether it ruins his friendship with her brother or not! Sloane and Rick are meant to be together – both strong personalities who have changed since they last saw each other. Great read!
I was provided an ARC by the author for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for the review.

I loved this book!! It was so sweet!
Sloan was the popular perfect cheerleader and she seemed to have it all but one night in the bathroom at a party she had the best kiss of her life and when the lights came on she knew it wasn’t her boy friend but her little brother’s best friend Rick known as Little Dickey. After humiliating him to save herself she went off to college and become a trophy wife of an older doctor.
Life wasn’t what it seemed and she was getting divorced and moving back home. Little Dicky wasn’t so little any more and he wanted revenge in the way of sex.
Rick worked hard on his body and growth spurt helped him he became super sexy and everyone knew it he has a record of love them and leave them. Will Sloan be another one night stand?
Sloan has lost herself and her confidence after a messy divorce moving home to start over and be with family was very important to her. Will a sexy mechanic with a score to settle turn into more than just one night?
This book was so good I love how Erin writes and how her stores just suck you in this is the first in a new series and I’m so excited to see everyone’s stories!!

Rick and Sloane have a history. Sloane was a former mean girl who shared an earth-shattering kiss with her younger brother’s best friend. Rick was that friend and he has changed in the years since that kiss. Sloane is not looking to start a relationship. Hurt by a bitter divorce, all she wants is to be left alone. But that doesn’t happen. After seeing Rick stripping for a charity auction, Sloane needs to see if Rick lives up to the promise in his boxers. Rick wants to know if kissing Sloane now was as good as kissing her back then. Determined to keep each other in the friends with benefits zone, they both start to fall for each other. But can it last? Can Rick and Sloane keep it at sex? Or will it blow up in their faces?
I wasn’t too sure if I liked Rick and Sloane as a couple. I got rebound relationship vibes from them. Sloane was fresh from a divorce. Her ex-husband cheated on her and that made her feel like she wasn’t attractive. So, I wasn’t surprised when she ended up sleeping with Rick.
I thought it was hilarious that such a big deal was made about Rick’s package. I giggled through Sloane’s reaction to seeing it. I giggled through people saying that “he grew into it“. Seeing that I was in bed, I got some dirty looks from my SO because well, it was 11pm and I was laughing my fool butt off.
I liked that Rich thought himself to be a smooth operator. His confidence was awesome. His determination to sleep with Sloane was amazing, considering at his bestie threatened to rearrange his face. His one-liners to her were hilarious. But I also liked seeing his other side. His mature and responsible side. His devotion to his 9-year-old sister was amazing. I was saddened by the fact that he had to become her legal guardian at such a young age. But I was also saddened over the situation that led to it. His truth bomb on his father was something that needed to be said. It saddened me to see that he grew up like that but still. He was the complete package.
I felt bad for Sloane. I couldn’t imagine how she felt when her husband told her that he was cheating on her. Betrayed was the closest thing that I could come up with as a feeling. I didn’t blame her when she moved back to her hometown. I was a little surprised when she decided to hook up with Rick and then keep hooking up with him. I was also surprised when she started having feelings for him.
Sloane and Rick did have some unbelievable chemistry. From the minute their eyes met, it radiated from them. So I wasn’t too surprised that the sex was hot. I did think that Sloane was going to have a problem walking because Rick was so big (haha). The scene on the motorcycle was insane. I will never look at a motorcycle the same again.
The end of the book was a big “Eh” for me. I did think that Sullivan’s reaction after the Ferris Wheel scene was a bit much. Also, what is with everyone ditching the baby with Axl? Other than that, I liked the end of the book. It was sweet. Sloane deserved it.

Stripped Down is a quick, fun, sexy read. Sloane moves back home after a terrible divorce (among other things, the jerk kept her dog). Rick is two years younger than Sloane and has really grown up and gotten hot. After a charity stripper event Sloane and Rick end up going home together and having an amazing night with no regrets. There’s an issue with Sloane’s older brother (whose dealing with his own loss) and Rick has guardianship of his 9 year old sister.
Sloane used to be the mean girl, and is working on changing that. I really liked this part of the story as it shows just how little she paid attention to others in high school, and how that is changing now. Rick and Sloane were so cute together and I loved their gaggle of friends. Can’t wait to read the next installment!

Sloane moves back to her home town after an ugly divorce. Her kid brother’s friend from high school has always had the hots for her and they had shared a kiss back in the day that she said she was tricked and had hated. However that wasn’t quite the truth. Little Dicky has grown up become quite the stud, Rick. A charity strip performance with her brother’s friends and Sloanes 30th birthday are a life changing event for her and steamy romance ensues. Great start to a new series from Erin McCarthy, Looking forward to the next installment.
