VegasAt least, it sounded like a good idea at the time. I mean what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Not so much. Not when I make rash decisions and the whole world was there to catch my stupidity on camera. But this time…This time, I took someone down with me and she didn’t deserve any of the sh*t being thrown her way.The band is pissed I screwed up again. She’s being unfairly hounded by … band is pissed I screwed up again. She’s being unfairly hounded by the paparazzi. I regret everything that’s happened. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there.
But the bad press isn’t my fault. Things have to go right at some point.
Don’t they?

4.25 stars–STRING ME is the fourth instalment in Rebecca Brooke’s contemporary, adult JADED IVORY erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of the band Jaded Ivory. This is Jaded Ivory bassist Monty Vance, and high school English teacher Allana Kerr’s story line. STRING ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person points of view (Allana and Monty) STRING ME follows one night in Vegas wherein Jaded Ivory’s bassist Monty Vance wakes up to discover he has married high school English teacher Allana Kerr. Sick and tired of the band’s infighting, and what our hero perceives as a lack of interest in their musical careers, Monty Vance heads to Vegas for some R&R but a night of heavy drinking ends with two strangers waking up together and married. Enter Allana Kerr, whose most recent relationship ended when she discovered her boyfriend with someone else. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Allana and Monty, and the potential fall-out as someone is releasing information about the band, and all fingers point to our story line heroine.
Allana Kerr needed time away, so she and her two best friends Bri and Erin, headed to Vegas for a few nights of dancing and fun having never intended to find the one but a night of drinking lands Allana and Monty in a Vegas chapel, with a Elvis impersonator and marriage on their minds. When word of their marriage made news back home Monty would discover just how badly his band mates believed he screwed up.
The relationship between Allana and Monty is one of immediate attraction; a quickie Vegas wedding followed by the decision to stay together, a decision that works for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to the member of Jaded Ivory: Cole and Mari (Rock Me #1), Heath and Jenna (Cover Me #2) , Sawyer and Reagan (Ride Me #3), as well as Monty’s roommate Jackson, his parents Debbie and Scott Vance; the band’s agent and publicist Tom; Allana’s friends Erin and Bri, Allana’s ex-boyfriend Brian, and her parents Glen and Carla Kerr.
STRING ME is a story of betrayal and lies; struggle and acceptance; misunderstanding, trust and love. The premise is delightful, heart breaking and entertaining; the characters are energetic and charismatic; the romance is spicy and hot. JADED IVORY is a wonderful look at friendship, battles and the road to success.
String Me
Monty was the bassist and song writer for Jaded Ivory, he was also known by his bandmates as the wild child of the group. His antics had gotten him into plenty of trouble with the band. The problem lately with the band was that Monty felt that they all had someone to run home to. None of them wanted to hang out and have fun with him. So he took off to Vegas, he was going to have fun and relax without them. Allana found her boyfriend cheating her with another teacher at work. Disgusted, hurt and upset her friends drag her off to Vegas for a weekend of fun. The events there rolls things in many unexpected directions but Monty never leaves Allana’s side and he even takes her side when things go wrong with the band. They fell in love from their very first meeting and they’re adorable together. I loved this story and I’m giving it five stars. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read about Jackson.
I really enjoyed this book!! This was my first Rebecca Brooke book but it absolutely will not be my last, and after finishing this book I am drawn to go back and read the first three books in this series in order to understand more of the characters in this book. Something I really enjoy though is that you can read this book as a stand-alone and understand without having to go back and read the previous books. Monty is feeling ousted by his band because they are moving on and changing their lives while he is content and prefers to live the same way they always had. He doesn’t cope with change well and decides to spend a week away to compose and gather himself and his thoughts in Vegas. Allana is in Vegas with her friends after finding her boyfriend cheating on her and decides to go out of character and let loose. When the two see each other, it’s instant attraction, and as the night progresses and the drinks flow, they make a big action that will change their lives. Once they realize what they’ve done, they agree to cope with their actions and get to know each other. This part might be my favorite within the book, because as they get to know each other, they also deal with bumps in the road from both Allana and Monty’s sides, but they go through them together all with a level of suspense added to it. Overall, thankfully this is a HEA that I wish didn’t end! The flow of the storyline was great and the book was overall enjoyable and made me a fan!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series, and is Monty and Allana’s story. Monty is the bassist of the band, and Allana is a high school English teacher. The two soon learn that what happens in Vegas does not necessarily stay there. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written rock romance story, which is steamy, and filled with lies, betrayal, misunderstandings, and love. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers.
I actually had the privilege to Beta read one of my favourite rock star story. It was an amazing 5 star story that was addicting.
Monty his part of Jaded Ivory. All his band mates have found love and things have changed in their family dynamics. So he thinks. So he decides to go to Vegas for some time off and think. He meets Allana. One drunken nights leads to so much more.
I really love this series. This story was entertaining and captivating. I enjoy very much to get to see all the other members where they are at. Monty and Allana had some great chemistry going on. A great storyline that flowed well.
It could be read as a standalone but for better enjoyment read them all. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
String Me is the fourth book in the Jaded Ivory series. There’s been some changes in the band’s personal lives, and it’s taking them away from focusing on their music. Monty feels like a outsider within his “family” and decides he needs a break. I liked the story, it has drama, suspense, humor, family, and love. Monty and Allana were so good together, she calmed him while he taught her it’s okay to be spontaneous. I liked them. I’m glad that the other band members make an appearance in eachothers stories. Can’t wait to read Jackson’s story next.
Loved Monty and Allana!
I have absolutely loved this series and getting Monty’s story was what I was waiting for. Let’s say I’m not disappointed at all. It’s funny, sexy and even has some mystery.
A drunken night brings Monty and Allana together, what happens in Vegas definitely doesn’t stay in Vegas and the band isn’t happy at all. Misunderstandings threaten the band and long time friendships. This is way more that your typical romance and you’re going to love it! Definitely recommend.

All I can say about String Me, is its flaming hot and I was sucked right in to the story of Monty Vance and Allana’s story. I honestly could not put this book down, it was one of those books where one more chapter brings you to the end and you are completely lost when you come out of the story.
Rebecca Brooke totally blew my mind with String Me, the Characters really jumped right off the pages, their emotions were so real to where you go from loving some of the characters to hating a few of them. I was so engrossed with Monty and Allana that their relationship is something every girl would dream of. Rebecca Brooke is now a one click author for me.
Monty Vance is the bad boy band member who lives life to the fullest, and Damn the consequences until the consequences involve someone who is totally innocent in all of his antics. But can he become the golden boy and make a love of convince become more, or will he be forced to leave his dreams behind?
