Taylor Marsten looks like a guy.How was I supposed to know there was a woman hiding beneath her baseball hat and baggy clothes? I piss off the stubborn roadie one time, and she starts a prank war. Back and forth we go using public humiliation as a weapon. Our situation turns complicated when I find myself searching her out. I want to piss her off just to receive retaliation. I get off on her … on her attention.
Our prank war isn’t a war at all. It’s foreplay.
Ethan Crow is an idiot.
He insults the way I look, demands I fill his bed with willing groupies, and threatens to have me fired from the tour. He thinks because I’m only eighteen I’ll crumble under his rock star authority, but he ticked off the wrong roadie. What starts as a battle feels more like a dance, and with thousands of women within Ethan’s reach, he only reaches for me.
Are his feelings for me genuine, or has he managed to pull off the cruelest prank of them all?

My gahhhh, how I loved this book! Strike a Chord is a perfect addition the Love, Hate, Rock-n-Roll series. This time it’s Ethan who’s a victim to Cupid’s bow, and the way he was handling this situation both cracked me up and made me all emotional. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and let me tell you… this rockstar fell right on his face!
Ethan is the newest addition to the Jesse Lee’s band and he enjoys his rockstar perks to the fullest. He’s not ready to settle down, he’s all about parties and willing, uncomplicated women. Until he meets stubborn and feisty Tommy. Unfortunately there are some obstacles to face. For one, Tommy is a roadie, so their romance is kind of forbidden. Second, Ethan is much older than she is. And finally, the past has a nasty habit of rearing its ugly head by surprise. Despite the palpable chemistry and the passion between them, Ethan and Tommy have a lot to overcome to find their happily ever after. Is it possible to reform a rockstar and find happiness during the tour?
Strike a Chord is just perfect. The banter between main characters was hilarious and I couldn’t get enough of their push and pull. I loved Tommy’s sass and Ethan’s loving and protective side. Their chemistry was out of this world and these two could easily set the world on fire! The presence of other couples of this series was just the cherry on top. I loved every second of this amazing story!
*** 4.5 Stars***
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Ethan’s book after finishing Face the Music since he was the last man standing (not including Chris, but we all know that IF *crossing toes that it’s more of a when instead* it’s gonna be doozy) and the resident manwhore commitment phobe of the group because I NEEDED to see the man brought to his knees, and dear lord did he ever get brought to his knees ~ both figuratively and literally. And though my eyes hurt from all the rolling they did thanks to Taylor and Ethan, I absolutely enjoyed watching these two get their HEA in the end.
It seems crazy for me to admit this, but I ADORED Ethan. I wanted to throttle him quite a bit throughout the book, but the man made me swoon. I loved his determination and just how honest he was, with himself and everyone else, even when he didn’t need to be. Taylor, I loved her, I did, but she did try me at times. It was understandable considering her age and just how she grew up, but I have to say that did enjoy watch her come into her own.
Their journey to the HEA was definitely unique, frustratingly so, but also quite enjoyable. I have to admit that while the pranks were quite epic, I was happy when they slowed down because I thoroughly enjoyed watching as Ethan and Taylor stumbled their way through their attraction and feelings towards each other because they were both dealing with the unknown in more ways than one. I loved their flow and the chemistry between them was smoking hot. While both of them had their issues and both made mistakes, I will say that I tended to be team Ethan ~ shocked the shit out of me, to be honest ~ but the man just did it for me. But in the end, I was very happy with how everything turned out for them.
This was a great read and a great way to finish out the series ~ though I am crossing my toes that we’ll get head back into this world one day and see how everyone is doing. And speaking of the others, I loved getting to spend time with everyone ~ Jesse, Bethany, Ryder, Jade, Ben, Ashleigh and Elliott ~ Elliott was AWESOME ~ and seeing how their relationships have all evolved and gotten stronger. There are some situations/issues that pop up that may be triggers for some, so be prepared.

This book was absolutely fantastic! Both Ethan and Taylor are not experts in love and relationships, which makes it hard for them to realize that by pranking each other (which brought so many laugh out loud moments to the story) they were finding love and falling hard for one another. I loved everything about the story, even the ugly moments because they helped them realize that their love was much stronger and it would help them overcome.
5* “what do you want most” stars
Quite simply one of the most amazingly brilliant rockstar books I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
witty ,hot, steamy and oh so swoonworthy this book has it all , the prank queen will have you laughing out loud and the banter and one liners are just something else haha
“You have beautiful skin. It’s like mud, the watery kind that doesn’t have rocks in it”
I didn’t think anyone would steal my heart away from Ryder but I was sooo wrong ethan stole it and ran away with it and hes never giving it back, I absolutely adore him. Tommy is just perfect the banter and pranks between them are fantastic and the chemistry is sizzling but it isn’t an easy journey for either of them and events that transpire will test them before they are even given a chance.
I have loved every minute of this series and JB definitely saved the best till last, you will laugh (alot) you will cry and your heart will hurt , a brilliantly written story with characters you will love…
And on that note I’ll leave you with…
“Grandma. Baseball. Stomach Flu. Berets”
Hahahaha
Strike a Chord is the last book in the Love, Hate, Rock-n-Roll series, and it focuses on Ethan Crow, the bass player and the only single guy life in Jesse’s band. He is a bit of a player and sleeps around, and doesn’t think about settling down until he meets the bane of his existence. Taylor Marsten is a roadie and mostly stays hidden. However, when one day Ethan asks her to find him two blonds to hook-up with she does the opposite, and that’s when their prank war starts. Taylor is 18 years old and very inexperienced because of her past, and relationship with her mother. Her dad took her with him on the road when she was younger to take her away from a horrible home situation. He is very protective of his daughter, and it warmed my heart seeing the great job he did with raising her. Ethan is 27, but I didn’t feel like the nine year age difference was a problem in this book.
“She awakens me in a way that goes beyond my craving for sexual pleasure. I want more than her body. I want her mind, her smiles, her stupid pranks, and her dirty mouth.”
This book was hilarious, and I couldn’t get enough of these two pranking each other. They were both very original and didn’t back down. This was a very light-hearted but sexy contemporary romance. I was invested in their relationship and felt a strong connection to both characters. I do wish we got to see more of Ethan’s past, because I feel like I don’t fully know him like I do Taylor. Also the incident that happened towards the end felt a bit rushed. I think if it happened earlier on in the story, it could’ve developed more in my opinion. But it definitely didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed this book. It was also great seeing what all the couples from the previous books were up to, and I loved seeing them all on the road together. There are still a couple of characters I hope will get their own book, so I am keeping my finger crossed that JB will write them in the future. This author is one of my favorites and I already look forward to her next book.
ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!
What an epic conclusion to one heck of a series. Ethan Crow and Taylor ‘Tommy’ Marsten, OMG these two were hilarious!!! And then they were combustible!!! I am so crazy about Ethan! Granted, he started out like an entitled a-hole. But Tommy/Taylor sure had what it took to deflate his huge ego. And lo and behold, there was a really great guy lost in there.
But this book wasn’t all laughs. And when push came to shove, Ethan was there when Taylor needed him the most. And gave her the space she needed when she really needed it.
I really loved the characters in this series and I hate to see them go! Oh, maybe someday there could be a second generation series!
Between Jesse and Pastor Ben, I didn’t think I could love this series any more … BUT THEN IN WALTZED ETHAN CROW and now I’m a smitten kitten.
I have loved every book in the Love, Hate, Rock-n-Roll series, and this book was EXACTLY what I needed right now.I loved every moment of it.
From their disastrous first encounter to the moments that had me laughing until my sides hurt. The chemistry between Ethan and Taylor was off the charts. It was this delicious push and pull of witty banter and sexual tension that was only intensified by the pranks they pulled on each other. Once they both acknowledged the pranks for the sexy foreplay they were, the romance that unfolds between Etahn and Taylor was perfection!
This book was everything; fun, swoony, emotional and steamy too. Taylor’s feisty attitude gave bad boy rocker Ethan a run for his money all while tugging at my heartstrings. It was the perfect balance of funny and swoony! Ethan came out of left field and left me with the most satisfied smile on my face…I mean really, he can strike a chord with me anytime!
Seriously though y’all, this whole series is fabulous and Ethan and Taylor’s story was the best way to finish it out!
Where do I begin with this review. Well, I suppose at the beginning. I really didn’t know what to expect initially as in previous books in this series Ethan Crow was everything you really didn’t want in a man. He was the typical rockstar you read about in books and see in films the world over but for me, everything changed when he begins this war of pranks and banter with Taylor “Tommy” Marsten.
I saw the change immediately and fell in love with the bass playing womanizer. He meets his match in more than one way with Tommy. She is young, tough, funny, and takes no nonsense from anyone especially Ethan. I love how she was wasn’t written as weak and feeble. Or a body beautiful princess, that has the world wanting her. She was normal down to earth and a complete tomboy, however, her natural beauty shone through. I am glad her maturity showed, as even though she was so young. She was wise beyond her years. I guess she had no choice with the way she grew up.
This couple and the relationship that builds most definitely isn’t conventional. But it was a beautiful story to read. The growth in these characters as the book progressed was a pleasure to read. As not only did Ethan and Tommy grow, so did his father. This book contains incidences that are horrific and quite frankly heartbreaking. I cried so many tears in the last quarter of this book. But I also laughed hard throughout the whole book. Even when my heart was breaking I smiled big.
This book and series is a huge recommendation from me. I didn’t think this series could get much better but it has. I can honestly say that this is up there with some of the best Rockstar Romances I have ever read.

Have you ever read a book that while you’re reading it your stomach is in your throat because you are just waiting for something to happen??
Well that is how I felt throughout this book. Now that isn’t a bad thing at all….I was just rooting for Ethan and Taylor so hard I was afraid of what might happen. You with this being a rockstar romance…we all know what usually happens in a story like this. I am happy to say nothing that I was expecting to happen did!! I was worried for nothing 😉
This book hit me with all the feels. I was laughing out loud at all the pranks and how Taylor talked to Ethan at times. I LOVED Taylor something fierce. This book also had me crying and yelling at the characters at times. But it also gave me a great sense of happiness and love.
I was completely swept up into this story and I think this might just be my favorite of the series.
This is the last book in this series and I am sad to see it end. I have loved watching all of the guys turn into the men their ladies deserve. But without losing who they really are.
I thought the flow and pace of this story worked well. It is told in dual POV and can be read as a stand-alone novel…but trust me you want to read all the books in this series.
If you a fan of the rockstar romance but also love a great age gap story….then this is the book to read!! Add it to your TBR list….and then 1-click it when it releases.
I think I’m in love! Ethan Crow and Taylor “Tommy” Marsten are in a constant prank war. As a roadie for Jesse Lee and his bandmates, Taylor has found a way to get under their bassist’s skin from day one after a little “misunderstanding.” Now, if they could just play nice together well, that would be something special. He is the single one in the band and enjoys it quite a lot but, it is becoming routine. Maybe a little fun with the tomboy wouldn’t be so bad…right? She is not his type but yet there is something about Tommy he can’t deny. I could not put this down! Ethan and Tommy are hilarious together and the pranks! Omg, I laughed so much it hurts! Ethan is that bad boy rockstar with the jokester personality I just melt for. This might make its way to my favorite of the series. I’ll strike a chord with Ethan anyday!! I loved revisiting all our favorite band mates too. A must read enemies to lovers, rockstar romance. Told in dual POV
