In the penultimate novel of the Talon Pack series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan, an Enforcer must make the ultimate choice when it comes to a human woman with a secret she doesn’t know she holds.Kameron Brentwood has only one thing on his mind: defeating the enemy. He doesn’t have time for a human woman who sets his teeth on edge and makes his wolf prowl. It shouldn’t matter that … matter that she’s his mate because he’s always thought that mating is a distraction. Yet as soon as he gets to know the woman, he figures out that there’s no hiding from the attraction he feels for her.
Dhanielle Coburn has always been on the outside looking in when it comes to the Talon Pack, but she’s not about to let fate and the moon goddess decide her path for her. If and when she takes Kameron as a mate, it will be her choice. Yet when she suddenly finds herself in the Pack’s inner sanctum, deeper than she ever thought possible, she has to fight not only her need for the man in front of her but also a hidden secret about her family she didn’t even know she had.
When the choice is pulled from both of their hands, the two will need to learn who they are apart, and who they can be together. Because there’s more to mating than a mark and a prophecy that has come back to haunt them. And even though they may be fated, the ultimate sacrifice just might take them both in the end.

WOW! I never thought this series could get better, but I was wrong. After the war with the humans and he unveiling, I thought this series would get boring. This installment proved how very wrong I was. Kameron and Dhanielle, since first being introduced, were destined to be together. When Blade decides that the humans Dhanielle and Cheyenne must die, his plan to get them evolves. This was an action packed romance, with the characters still ever evolving. Loved this but ok.
Love Kam and Dhanis amazing beautiful loving emotional broken love story.Need more of the Talon pack.
Wow!
Everytime I read one of these books about the Packs, I feel that I’m there with them to help keep the Pack strong. This book is about Jameson Brentwood who is a wolf & Dhanielle Coburn who is a human. Dhanielle has always know she was different, because she had feelings, like she knows Kam is her mate.
The is a review of an ARC.
I really enjoyed this story!!! The characters are fantastic and I love getting to see the previous characters as well. This is the 8th book in the series and the third within this arc. I would recommend reading the previous books, at least the previous 2 as that starts the new big bad and the arc within the group of four friends that plays such a large part of the story. With that said, it can be read as a standalone for the most part. The big bad story line is developed throughout all the books but the hero and heroine are pretty much contained within this book. You definitely get a happily ever after. Kam and Dhani are fantastic. I loved the way they were written and the way that things developed with them. Dhani made sure that things were up front about them being potential mates but with the situation they both wanted to take it slow and were on the same page. Circumstances then changed and caused them to accelerate things but I loved how Dhani “confronted” Kam and made things a little blunt. I loved their relationship! This story is really well written and draws you in from beginning to end. Once I started reading this book, I didn’t want to stop. The sex is explicit but the plot doesn’t allow for a lot of sex. Everything is blended well together. There is some action but this story has a lot more intrigue and relationship building. Kam is trying to figure out the bits and pieces that he has and how everything fits together. Dhani, with her knowing, is trying to figure out her dreams and what they mean. She knows she is different, she just doesn’t know why or what she is. This story was just fantastic. I love the Talons and the Redwoods. We don’t see much of the Redwoods in this book (for those that have read all the prior books). They are mentioned a little and the ones that are close family you do see a little bit of. I didn’t feel like anything was missing though. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!! I’m super excited for it and a little sad that it’s the last one. All I can do is hope that it’s not the last time that we see the Talons and the Redwoods. Can’t wait to see how everything ends up though!
Wolf shifter and Pack enforcer Kameron Brentwood doesn’t want to want Dhanielle Coburn. A mate would be a distraction from his keeping the Pack secure. Schoolteacher Dhani knows she might be Kameron’s mate but isn’t thrilled with the idea of becoming a wolf. Circumstances keep throwing them together so they agree to take things slow until they are forced not to. The tension in this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved Dhani being in her head was a trip. As with the others in this series this book is filled with action and love.
I LOVE Dhani! I love her sass and her strength and her outlook. She’s a smart-alec, but she stands up for herself. She’s powerful in her own right, even if she’s just a human. But is she really? Dhani has always known things without understanding why. She’s also always had dreams that aren’t dreams.
Kam, oh he’s just yummy and totally needs balance in his life. He’s focused on protecting the Pack and bringing down Blade, to the point he’s willing to deny finding his mate. Good thing Dhani calls him out on it. One of my favorite scenes in the entire book!
So what happens when Dhani Stands Up, Opens Up and Gives Up? Something completely magical. Sacrifice begets sacrifice, and Carrie Ann Ryan shows how powerful that is in Strength Enduring, the latest installment of her Talon Pack series. I really loved how Kam and Dhani fit. Their interactions had me smiling and I just had to know what happens next! I managed to read the entire book in one sitting!
As Ryan brings this series to an end, her books are showing how much she loves her wolves and the Redwood and Talen Packs. I’m dreading the next book, since it’s the final one in the series. At the same time, Ryan has stepped up her game and I can’t wait to see how she’s going to wrap up this amazing series!
This tale is a mystery, wrapped in a sweet sexy romance, covered with a close knit family we already love. The story really explores Dhani and Kam as strong characters with so much integrity, but also having insecurities and doubts. With writing that sucks you in and takes you away on a wonderful adventure. A super summer read.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Carrie Ann Ryan is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Speechless. That is how this book left me. Talk about a book hangover. This book left me with a feeling that something really really big is coming. It is like the storm build up before a hurricane hits. I did not put it down once I started it. I was HOOKED.
Kameron and Dhani are thrown together after tiptoeing around each other and almost avoiding each other. She is human and weak, too weak to be involved in what is happening and must be protected. Stupid male! When are these men going to learn to just give in? HAHA that is part of the fun in reading this series. Dhani is more than human, but what? She has always had “gut feelings” on things that are better not ignored. She knows they are mates, ball is now in Kameron’s court.
These two go through hell to be together in the end. But hell is not over yet…..
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I loved this book! I was hooked from the first page to the last. I loved Kameron and Dhani. I am a relatively new reader to this series and was able to follow everything perfectly.
This is the next to last book in the Talon Pack series, and things are heating up! While this book centers around one couple, and their story, I don’t feel like it should be read, without having read the previous Redwood and Talon Pack books, because of the ongoing story line that continues from book to book. The entire saga spans an extended period of time, including several generations of wolves, and the drama of their interactions with those that would destroy their species.
Kameron is the enforcer of the Talon Pack. As the enforcer, he has a connection, and an obligation, to his pack. He knows there is a mate connection with Dhani for him, but doesn’t feel as if he can, or should, do anything about it. As with most Alpha males, he is trying to protect everyone, putting himself and his own needs at the bottom.
Dhani is a friend of the pack. She has suffered because of that connection. However, she has never felt as accepted as she does when she is with the pack. She is also aware of the connection that she has with Kameron. She knows that he is holding back, and even if she doesn’t know why, she accepts that….for now.
This book had me totally enthralled right from the beginning. The beginning (titled Choice, so I guess you’d call it the prologue) played over and over in the back of my mind the entire time I was reading, and I was just waiting for answers. I could not put the book down until I had them! The entire series is full of mystery, and intrigue, and Strength Enduring was no exception. Another fabulous book in a series that just keeps getting better! I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us in the Grand Finale!
This is the penultimate book in this series but don’t worry it still has so much punch left to give to you emotionally.
I really don’t know how she writes such amazing books that has so many intertwining relationships but each and every one feels unique and special. I suppose it’s like babies/fur babies….you appreciate each of them on their own merit but you love them all.
I bloody loved the Talon Pack books and this one has twists and turns I didn’t see coming…neither did they! I loved the way that Dhanielle knows what she knows but she doesn’t know how she knows. But don’t worry because Kam trusts her and believed in her.
Can they fight off the evil that surrounds them? Can they help their pack and their families and friends to flourish and thrive? Or will they be sacrificed for the good of the pack and the human world
This is a terrific story. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and following along on their journey. I suggest reading the other books in this series to gain the full nuances of the story. This is a great story and well worth reading.
Strength Enduring is the second to last book in the Talon Series. This is the story of Dhani and Kam. You sort of saw this relationship beginning in the previous books but it comes to a head in this book. Certain life events put Dhani directly in Kam’s path and they must go to extremes to help the pack out. Blade’s role is large in this book and you see his plan come to ahead with a cliffhanger at the end. As I was reading I thought someone could be a traitor but was still devastated when I got to that part. Dhani was a great character and I’m glad we got to see her come full circle. I’m very intrigued for Max and Cheyenne’s story and the conclusion of Blade and the Aspen pack. Another great story in this series!
This is the second to last book in the Talon series. Strength Enduring is an apt title for Kam and Dhanis book. They have to overcome so much in an effort to protect the Talon pack. Kam is an enforcer and is determined to keep his pack safe. Shaun has always known she is different, she has what she calls “the knowing.” Kam and Dhani both know they are potential mates, but are determined not to let fate dictate their life. They have faced many obstacles and evils, but will Kam, Dhani and the talon pack survive this time? I loved everything about this book (except it means there is only one more book in the series.)
In “Strength enduring”, we finally find out all about Dhani. Kam our trusty enforcer has met his match. Dhani doesn’t shy away from protecting what is hers, whether it be or students, friends, or family. This one doesn’t have bad as much action as the last two, but it is packed full of drama and the steamy goodness we love from the wolf pack. 4.5/5 stars
I loved Strength Enduring!! Kameron and Dhani chose to take things slowly but were forced to take things more quickly due to circumstances beyond their control. I love the Talon Pack and can’t wait for the next book!!!
I love this series and this story did not disappoint. Kim and Dani are both not ready to admit that they are mated and what that will mean to their individual world however decisions are beyond their control and they both always put others before themselves. Their chemistry is off the charts and they fall quickly. Dhani works to keep her humanity, even when she knows she is different. I loved this story and look forward to the Talon conclusion with excitement and sadness.
I love the Talon Pack. It is great to revisit old friends and see what the pack is up to. Kam is a great enforcer but he needed someone to soften him a little and Dhani is perfect for the role. These two may have tried to deny the mating pull but fate has other plans and soon enough they must accept that they are mates. Together they face the threats aimed at the pack, and together they discover Dhani’s hidden power. I love the Chemistry between all the mated couples and look forward to the final book in this series.
Love this book. The Talons are fighting for their lack and the enemy is not always a stranger. As they fight through the unknown they forge bonds that will never be broken. This book is very well written and only hints at what is to come.
