In the penultimate novel of the Talon Pack series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan, an Enforcer must make the ultimate choice when it comes to a human woman with a secret she doesn’t know she holds.Kameron Brentwood has only one thing on his mind: defeating the enemy. He doesn’t have time for a human woman who sets his teeth on edge and makes his wolf prowl. It shouldn’t matter that … matter that she’s his mate because he’s always thought that mating is a distraction. Yet as soon as he gets to know the woman, he figures out that there’s no hiding from the attraction he feels for her.
Dhanielle Coburn has always been on the outside looking in when it comes to the Talon Pack, but she’s not about to let fate and the moon goddess decide her path for her. If and when she takes Kameron as a mate, it will be her choice. Yet when she suddenly finds herself in the Pack’s inner sanctum, deeper than she ever thought possible, she has to fight not only her need for the man in front of her but also a hidden secret about her family she didn’t even know she had.
When the choice is pulled from both of their hands, the two will need to learn who they are apart, and who they can be together. Because there’s more to mating than a mark and a prophecy that has come back to haunt them. And even though they may be fated, the ultimate sacrifice just might take them both in the end.

The tension in this book rides high, from page one to the final paragraph at the story’s end; making for a fantastic read! As always, Carrie Anne Ryan matches the lead characters up perfectly. Dhani and Kameron have a dynamic that keeps the reader involved and unable to put this book down. Several twists are laid down then unraveled between these pages but wait (!)… there is still more to come in the next book. Definitely looking forward to it!
This is the eighth book in the Talon Pack Series. This is Kameron and Dhani’s story. Kameron is the Enforcer of the Talon Pack meaning it’s his job to protect his family, friends and pack and nothing else matters. He has no time for anything else, there is too many complications and problems they are facing and finding out that Dhani is his potential mate is just another issue he doesn’t have time for and doesn’t need. Dhani is friends with shifters in the Talon pack and plans on being around even if it means dealing with a grumpy enforcer that she can’t seem to avoid.
Overall it flows seamlessly and has a great storyline that is a page turner and I couldn’t get enough of and I loved Kameron and Dhani’s story! Highly recommend this book to anyone.
Carrie Ann Ryan does it again. This is the next installment in the Talon Pack series. Kam and Dhani are forced to work together to help stop the destruction of the pack. But soon realize that their incredible chemistry is so much more. Not only are they destined for each other but Dhani has the secret weapon needed to save the pack, and she doesn’t even know the secret herself. We all get to be surprised together.
I love this series and I am constantly surprised with each book. I am always entertained. Each book is unique and captivating. I am completely addicted!!!
Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again! The characters in the Talon Pack are so amazing. There is so much depth of strength and love in their stories. I am always excited to hear there is a new story in the Talon Pack series because not only do we get another mating story we also get a glimpse of others we have come to love along the way. I can’t wait to see what Carrie Ann Ryan has next for us!
What an awesome paranormal world ! This book is one of the best in the Talon Pack series.
Kameron was a stubborn fierce protector for the Talon Pack. It almost got to the point where he turned away from his mate for the sake of his duty. But Dhani knew in her heart that he was her mate even though it confused the hell out of her. She had a hidden strength all of her own and believe it when I say these two needed all the help they could get going up against the evil twisted villain Blade.
As usual, Carrie Ann Ryan delivered an amazing story. Luckily, we haven’t seen the last of the Talon Pack just yet. Who knows what the author will throw at readers in Max and Cheyenne’s book, Forever Broken. I can’t wait for it even though I’ll be sad to see this wonderful paranormal series end.
Kam and Dhani were destined to be together, he fights it and she embrace something she’s not too sure of. What happens in their journey of self discovery brings a story filled with drama and so much goodness that will keep you entertained. I love Dhani’s strong charcater, she fights for what is right and what she wants, along with Kam’s character protective, fierce and stubborn makes for a winning combination. One click the next installment of the Talon Pack series that doesn’t disappoint! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book and highly recommend.
5 KAM AND DHANI STARS!! Love this book so much, I could not stop reading it. Kam and Dhani’s story was perfection all the way through. This series get better with each book, I can’t wait for the next book. I would suggest reading they other books first.
If you have been following this series as I have you were ready for this one. It centers around Kameron and Dhanielle this time with their story unfolding. You get deeper into what their path is and will be along what they go through. You get to see what she is all about and what mysteries lie beneath her. They will both captivate you in this one with when the drama seeps in you want to smack somebody. Selfishly I wanted more of just them but I usually want that about each couple she has written on. You will also by now want the drama to get taken care of in a big way. This one is so easily devoured cherishing every bit.
As a fan of the Talon Pack series, I’ve been waiting a long time to get Kameron’s story. I’ve wondered why he is the way he is and what secrets he holds. This book didn’t disappoint at all. His story is moving and beautifully written. Dhani is a great character full of sass with her own background mystery. I don’t post spoilers, but I will say this is probably my second favorite book in this series so far. With only one left to come, I’m excited to get the final story yet sad to say goodbye to characters I enjoy.
Strength Enduring is Book 8 of the Talon Pack series. This entire series is amazing and I highly recommend reading them all, preferably in order, as they do continue to build upon each other.
I loved the connection between Kameron and Dhani. They had great chemistry and there was definitely heat rolling off the pages. The plot continues to thicken with the Aspens and I cannot wait to see how that entire storyline plays out.
This was a very engaging, exciting and excellent addition to the series. I am on pins and needles for Max and Cheyenne’s story.
My poor heart… I don’t even know where to begin other than to say this pack ..no correction this family is beyond strong. Though to find any type of semblance of peace they’re going to have to learn when you need be strong and know when to lean on each other. Dhani and Kameron will learn this lesson real quick and with very little warning. I’m truly preparing hard for the next book.
Carrie Ann Ryan did it again! Wow what a great ride! Dhani is connected to her friends in the Talon Pack and by her love for them. However she is connected to the paranormal world in more ways than she understands. Kam is the Pack Enforcer. It is his job to keep the pack safe. He takes his job extremely seriously to the point of ignoring the mating call.
Dhani’s life takes some turns and now she is living with the pack. This puts a bit of a wrench in Kam’s plan. To his surprise, Dhani understands and agrees. Both are at a crossroads in their lives, so they agree to figure out their individual lives before a life mated. The mating urge is riding them hard, so best laid plans and all that! 😉
Blade and danger are coming for the pack, specifically Dhani!! She and Kam have to figure things out quickly to survive and protect the pack!
I read this book in one sitting! I couldn’t put it down. I love Talons and the Redwoods! I can’t wait until Max’s story!!
Extremely entertaining, sexy, thrilling, action packed romantic adventure filled with danger, excitement and a passion so strong it is impossible to resist…..
Kameron and Dhani are a perfect couple that fight the very idea each for their own reasons…. They are both strong, independent and loyal. Loved their story from beginning and could not put it down. Made me laugh, cry and cheer… could not get enough.
I really liked this book. I love Carrie Ann Ryan’s storytelling.
Steamy attraction and sizzling chemistry really heat up the romance between Kam and Dhani. With a well written storyline that is complex, fully developed characters and superb world building, this book is an excellent read and a wonderful addition to this series. With and engaging and intense plot that keeps you totally involved all through the book. I loved both these characters. Kam is hot, strong, determined and protective. Dhani is sassy, feisty and unique. I thought these two were a great couple. A terrific read!
Dhani just got to me. She was bold, strong and not going to wait in the wings for Kam. Kam was an idiot! He was thinking like an over protective alpha male. Dhani and Kam made this story perfect .. made each other and the pack the Strength Enduring that the title says. To say that things were not smooth sailing for either of them is a bit of an understatement. But they were able to lean on each other, and we were able to see how others gathered their own support to act in the best way for the pack. Based on the action and how these two found their other half, I can’t wait to see what more is in store.
This was a powerful installment of the Talon Pack. Kam was the Talon enforcer and didn’t want Dhani to be his mate as he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to protect her and his pack. When circumstances forced his hand, they mated before they were ready. Dhani knew things but didn’t know how. Together, they would do their best to keep everyone safe. It was only a little surprise when her power came into being. She is going to really kick butt when she learns how to manage her power.
Blade was his usual nasty self, trying to take over the world. I hope they put an end to him soon.
Dhani was such a surprise. Her gutsy in your face attitude to Kameron was great! Love her strength and character. The confrontation with Scarlett had my heart racing. Such a great hot read. Highly recommend it! I received an advanced copy of this book. I freely leave this honest review!
It seems like I’d been waiting forever for this book and my expectations were high. This book definitely delivered for me. I love all the Brentwoods, and the third triplet, Kameron, intrigued me. Knowing how badly he grew up and his job as Enforcer, I wondered how he’d manage to bend enough to have a love story. And knowing that a ‘soft’ woman would not suit him, at all, I wondered how one of Dawn’s sweet friends would fit the bill.
Dhani was still a bit of an inigma. I knew she had a good heart, she’d shown that in previous books and I knew that there was a connection to Kameron, and that she was something ‘more’. I wasn’t really surprised to find out that she was a witch, but her background was interesting, with the binding of powers thing. And she was a preschool teacher, but as it turned out, one with a backbone and core of steel.
It continues to amaze me how Carrie Ann Ryan hits at the heart of discrimination and show just how foolish it is. Dhani was ostracized for being friends with and associating with the wolves, think back USA in the 50’s and 60’s. She lost her job and her home and the wolves took her in. She was put into a cottage close to Kameron’s and their attraction, which he was fighting, grew. He was worried about putting a larger target on her back as the mate of the pack enforcer and his confusion, added to his concern about the Aspens, was taking a toll on him and his wolf.
And speaking of the Aspens, Blade and his witch, Scarlett, upped their game plan. The man/wolf is seriously bonkers and power hungry and dangerous. Their actions kind of forced Kameron and Dhani into mating a lot quicker than they’d planned. It was good between them, though. Blade’s kidnapping of the girls, yes, again, brought Dhani’s hidden powers to the fore as the binding was loosened and she kicked some butt, showing her strength and cementing her bond with Kameron.
I love this pairing, and that Kameron learned that he doesn’t have to do everything alone. Their love story furthered this arc of the series as well. The next book is the finale of the Talon arc and I can’t wait to read how Cheyenne, the last of Dawn’s friends, helps to heal poor Max, who I love. I’m also hoping that the next book introduces more of the Central pack and that the next arc is about them.
Talon Pack #8, The second to last in this story arc against this Big Bad and his illusions of grandeur. Kam Brentwood the Enforcer for the Talon pack, is the strongest only second to the Alpha and emotionally tied to everyone in the pack like the Omega only not as strong. Kam also knows that his is one of the worse positions to be in for a mate and family, all to often he’s seen what can happen to loved ones when your enemies want to hurt you. That’s why no matter how much he wants to he can’t claim the one woman who can calm his soul.
Dhanielle Coburn has always had a way of knowing things she knew something bad was going to happen when she woke up the morning the principal fired her just like she knew she needed to be in Talon Pack territory right after that and just like she knows Kam is her mate. But Dhani’s ability to know things isn’t just some simple gut reaction there is a bigger mystery in Dhani’s familial history.
Dhani knows she belongs in the Talon Pack with Kam she finally feels like she finally belongs. Kam and Dhani decide to take it slow and wait until the Big Bad is dealt with before they move forward if they even want to, but the Big Bad takes the decision out of their hands when he focus’ his attention on Dhani and the only way to protect her is for Kam to mate her.
As always Carrie Ann Ryan is freakin’ brilliant. This is an ongoing series so if you are new to the wonderful world of Carrie Ann Ryan you really should start at the beginning. There is this great internal struggle Kam deals with the first part of the book that’s angsty and brooding and Dhani starts out having the worst luck that gets worse before it gets better. These books just keep getting better and better and you never know where Ms. Ryan is going to take the story next.
