Stravon (Dark Star Princes Book 1) by Suki Selborne is a great story to read. This is book number one in this great series that I have started reading . I have enjoyed reading this story very much. I recommend this story to everyone who likes to read Sci-Fi and paranormal romances in their stories.

Alien abduction
This author has a market on upping the anti when it comes to alien abduction. I loved the excitement and adventure she was able to provide as these two got in touch with themselves and each other. Together they grew strong and found their own HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book!
Not Your typical Alien Bride Story!!
Yes, Stravon and his four brothers have been ordered to take brides from Earth. But there is a greater outside danger which these two must battle to survive. An exciting start to this series, I look forward to reading about each brother.

Laina and her best friend are taking a space pleasure cruise. They are near the planet of Quolvio, also known as the Dark Star, and home to the Empire, when things go terribly wrong. Stravon and his brothers are the five princes of Quolvio, and they are informed by their father that they are to take human women as mates, and there just happens to be a ship with humans on board…
Wonderful characters that are sexy, sometimes funny, and determined to survive an unexpected, and dangerous detour, that is instigated by a religious leader trying to depose the Emperor. This is an action packed adventure with a little suspense, romance, and a fluffy android companion that saves the day. Can’t wait for the next book.

Very enjoyable and entertaining fast-paced story. Plenty of intrigue, action, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. There also twist and turns that you don’t see coming. Wasn’t sure what to make of Prince Stravon, he came off as very arrogant and entitled. I’m just glad that he was able to change my mind about him. Overall a good read and a great start for a new series. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series.
Not my cup of tea. I wanted to try a different genre. This just wasn’t my cup of reading. I’m sure its’ a good book it just didn’t interest me.
Exciting Space Adventure!
An excellent start to the Dark Star Princes series. This fast paced story of Stravon and Laina, his human mate is full of suspense, twists, family drama, struggles with strange aliens, dragons, rebels, fighting and an adorable droid. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
This was such a fun read. The characters are sexy and witty. The storyline is humorous and romantic. There is also quite a bit of suspense. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This was a great book that has the chemistry and steam I like in my books. The characters are well developed and the storyline was well written from start to finish.

This is book 1 in a new series by an author I have never read before. The writing is good, and she appears to know where she is going with the plot and the characters. The characters weren’t very likable, they may grow on me as the series progresses but, in this book, I just wasn’t feeling them. It’s sci-fi so the story-line isn’t going to be believable and that’s ok. I struggled at times with the book, due to the characters and their dialogue. The plot is a good one just thrown by the main two characters in this one.

Laina and her friend Jo go on a pleasure cruise. At the same time the Emperor Eox calls his 5 sons and tells them that they have to mate with human women. Boy did that go over well. Humans are weak, less intelligent and downright not worthy to mate with royal princesses. They are ordered to seek their mates on the pleasure cruise. This story revolves around Prince Stravon of Quolvio and his mate to be Laina. They end up on a planet not of their choosing and the adventure begins. There are savages who want to eat them, fire breathing dragons and sand everywhere. I had to finish this story because it was so good. Only thing is a cliffhanger. Don’t know if they make it home, don’t know if they find the other princesses. Ugh, I hate being left in the air but I will continue the story because it really sucks you in. Great Book.

After reading the first book in the Dark Star Princes series I know I want to read the rest of the books so I will be watching for them to be out. Once I started this book I was not putting it down. Prince Stravon and human Laina, plus the Droid Pookla Bear’s story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, evil dragons, villains, romance. I enjoyed reading how Pookla Bear got to save the day. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Laina and Stravon were perfect as a couple and worked well together to escape Seerfot even though neither were interested in being together initially.

Laina is on a space pleasure cruise with her friend, Jo, who is studiously studying her phone rather than the spectacular view of space! The guide points out a pale blue glow around the edges of the planet Quolvio, more commonly known as the Dark Star. Their Empire stretches into all corners of the galaxy, and the cluster of galaxies surrounding it, and Earth is part of their rule. The rumor is that the Emperor is an arrogant tyrant and the 5 Princes are barbaric. Fortunately Earth has not attracted much royal attention.
Suddenly the ship lurches, causing many to lose their balance. The tour guide, now pale, runs in to ask people to take their seats because of the “asteroid turbulence”. Before they can move, the ship lurches again. Then the lights go out.
Stravon, the youngest Prince, is listening to his father argue with his oldest brother. The Quolvian females are physically weak and can rarely conceive more than one child. The royal line needs heirs! So the Quolvian Imperial Council has considered all alternatives and decided humans are the most likely source for robust, healthy children – even if their small frames may not survive childbirth. The Emperor’s plan is to detain the nearby cruise ship and run a Glora scan to detect genetically-suitable mates. Not all of the humans will match, but they will take those who do. The rest of the humans will be killed. None of the Princes are happy with this plan of stealing a human female, enslaving her, and breeding with her. Although they have never met a human, they believe all to be short, weak, low-intelligence organic creatures, scarcely more than beasts and the thought of a dumb and weak human mate is distasteful. But against all odds, they manage to find a genetically-suitable female for each one of the Princes!
This book was rather disappointing. Just about every aspect was so negative. The characters were not particularly likable at all, being weak, whiny, nasty, arrogant, etc. The tour guide was even disrespectful in leering at one of the passengers. The Emperor and Princes were self-indulgent, spoiled, arrogant, and one seemed outright cruel. The whole Empire is run by a known tyrant. They had no concern over the possibility of human women dying while giving birth because the alien men were so much larger. One Prince even thought it was a good thing so they could get the heir and then pick someone else to play with! There was no relationship building. The desert experience felt like it was just thrown in for a change of pace. By then I honestly didn’t care about any of the characters and just wanted to stop reading!
I always enjoy reading the starts of new series. It let’s me know if I want to read the rest or pass. I did enjoy this story on how people deal with being threatened and when you can recreate yourself to what you would like to be instead of how you were before amnesia.
This series is in a future world where there is space travel and Earthlings know there are other beings out there. One such beings is the Quolvian, also knows as the Dark Star. The king there is known to be a tyrant. He controls most of the known galaxies. He has five grown sons that he rules with an iron fist. They know they have to do whatever he says that he would have no problem killing them. They are having problems with low birth counts and there not being many Quolvian females. They have a computerized system that can read the DNA of others to see if they would be a good match to their species. When an Earth pleasure ship is within their range, they run the system and find that there are five human females that are matches for the sons. The king captures the ship by some tractor beam and then sends his sons to get their mates. They are to bring them to their individual palaces and start breeding. Meanwhile, there is a rebel that has been causing the king problems. This rebel has a dastardly plan to the kingdom which includes capturing all five princes, and their new mates, and torture them in different ways.
In this story, it starts with mild mannered Laina who is a librarian and on a pleasure cruise with her complaining friend. When things go crazy with the ship and they get boarded by aliens, Laina is captured and taken away by a huge male. During their getaway, his ship has problems and crashes onto an unknown planet. She hits her head and has amnesia. She doesn’t even know her own name. They work together to get to safety, away from dragons.
The youngest son of the King, Stravon, is the king’s least favorite son. He is the second son to find his mate. He thinks that humans are just about better than pond scum but he will go along with what he was told to do. At first he talks down to her like she is an idot and just a breeding slave. After spending time with her, that changes.
I am looking forward to seeing how Stravon and Laina help to save his other brothers and get the bad guy.

Captive mate…
With this story, Ms. Selborne introduces the five princes of Quolvio. Five princes that have been “ordered” by their father, the Emperor, to capture and mate a woman from Earth. The princes think Earthlings are beneath them but do as their father decrees. Of course there are the bad guys who want to take the Quolvio rulers down. See where this is going? Stravon isn’t very likable in the beginning( none of the princes are) but he grows on you. Laina has a lot to do with that. Looking forward to the next prince’s story.

I liked this book and look forward to more from this series. Filled with excitement, drama, tension, intrigue, action, suspense and danger, there is plenty to capture and hold your attention. Laina and Stravon were interesting characters but neither one wowed me with their likability. I will say that I wish that I had felt more of an actual emotional connection or bonding pull between these two fated mates.
