Unlock the secrets in Reunion GapWhen the son of the man who lost everything falls in love with the daughter of the man who stole it all, there can only be heartache ahead. Readers who loved Mary Campisi’s bestselling Truth in Lies series, also known as the “A Family Affair” books, won’t want to miss Strangers Like Us, Book One in Mary’s new Reunion Gap series. It’s a tale of deception, secrets, … It’s a tale of deception, secrets, forgiveness and redemption set in a small town.
Rogan Donovan gave up the glamour of big city life and returned home to help his family rebuild their lives after a smooth-talking stranger swindled his parents out of their life savings. But some things—like reputation and trust—can’t be rebuilt, and small towns never forget past offenses.
When Elizabeth Hayes arrives in Reunion Gap, bent on helping the people her father cheated, Rogan opens his heart to her, unaware she’s the daughter of the man who destroyed his father’s life. Despite her good intentions, Elizabeth’s secret will be exposed creating heartache, resentment, and bitterness.
Will forgiveness and redemption follow?

Old hurts, new beginnings and fate bring two people together.
Interesting story line and well written. Enjoyed it.
I liked it a gentle read
Excellent read. Especially with the shorter at hoe
I really enjoyed this book.
Story actually has 2 women’s stories built into it. It is quite convoluted. I did have an issue with the initial basis of her need to hide who she was. Insufficient motive given. Other than that, I enjoyed both stories.
Rogan Donovan gave up the glamor of big city life and returned home to help his family rebuild their lives after a smooth-talking stranger swindled his parents out of their life savings. Some things like reputation and trust cannot be rebuilt, and small towns never forget past offenses. Elizabeth Hayes arrives in Reunion Gap, bent on helping the people her father heated. Rogan opens his heart to her, unaware she is the daughter of the man who destroyed his father’s life. Despite her good intentions, Elizabeth’s secret will be exposed creating heartache, resentment, and bitterness.- The Donovan and Alexander families are intriguing. Each character had a problem, and that makes you want to read the entire series to learn what happens. The second book sounds too much like the first, so I will not buy it. I may buy another though. This is an excellent read, interesting from start to finish.
Loved this book. Exciting Funny Loving can’t wait to read the other two books. Have to wait until there free sorry. Great writing Thank You
This story is exactly correct in saying it’s about deception, secrets, forgiveness and redemption. But the author didn’t mention love. It’s love that’s the guiding force towards healing for Elizabeth and Rogan. without that the story wouldn’t have an end. I enjoyed it very much and it made me cry. Thanks Mary!
What do you get when two people return to small town Reunion Gap to right a wrong and go about it in two different ways? You make them lovers, right? Rogan has return to help his family regain the loss that they suffered at the hands of a thief. Elizabeth is trying to make right what her father stole from the town. The attraction that Rogan and Elizabeth feel when they first bump into each other is instantaneous but she refuses to move on it. Thrown into the mix is a mystery man who has connections to the incident. Mary Campisi weaves a powerful story with just enough intrigue to keep you guessing the next move. I love series but when the book stands alone like this one, it’s make a read more enjoyable.
I loved “Strangers Like Us” (nook). The story was intense and sweet and, thank goodness, ended happily (of course). I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
