Ever wonder what you’d do if someone pushed the re-set button on the world? The Stranded in Provence Mysteries tell the story of an American woman on vacation in the south of France when the unthinkable happens. After a dirty bomb explodes over the Riviera she finds herself stranded in a French village where daily life is essentially sent reeling back to the 1950s.So now forget solving crimes with … crimes with DNA or accessing massive criminal databases. Likewise forget worrying about international terrorism, because that’s now gone too. But you can also forget spending hours on your smartphone, tablet, computer or even TV set.
On the other hand, the bistros are all still open, the produce and cheese markets still run every morning, bicycles dominate the wide avenues instead of cars, and for a budding amateur sleuth and now permanent ex-pat, any murders she stumbles across will have to be solved the old-fashioned way—with brain power and shoe leather.
Oh, and it turns out that romance still works the same as before too.

The world as we know it …. ends. A European vacation turns into a nightmare as there is no way to get home again. What would you do? No access to your money, no cell phones, wifi or communications.
These books were a delightful surprise. The premise is original and the characters are great fun. The style of writing reminded me a little of Janet Eivanovich. I look forward to reading more of her books if I can find them.
This novel is the first in a series, and gets my vote for the best cozy mystery in the most absurdly, unrealistically, contrived setting I’ve read to date. Oddly, the ridiculous scenario adds to the readability of this book. I enjoyed reading this book, but to be honest, I couldn’t decide to laugh or cry at the absurdity of a cozy murder written against a back drop of enormous catastrophic proportions.
Thoroughly enjoyed the series. Mystery, murder, humor, suspense and a touch of romance with likable characters in an unusual and unique setting. Fun read.
I feel like I know these characters.
The characters were engaging, there were very few spelling/grammar errors and the plot was believable.
I love this series!!! I read them one after the other. Now I wish there were more.
Liked this enough to buy book 4
Entertaining fiction. Great characters and fun read that makes you want to read the whole series just to find out what happens.
Definitely an interesting premise!
It was to American bashing.
A little strange and unusual, but still it was interesting and made me think a lot about what I would do in this situation. Of course I get tired of her always getting in stupid situations and risking her life…but it is a book after all LOL
Interesting original plot for the series. Looking forward to reading all the books.
