Luciano Ellison needs a wife or his little brother Eli needs a mother. The innocent new nanny, Molly, would be perfect. Rich, handsome, and willing to claim her as his own, Luc orchestrates a scheme that leaves her desperate for his help and willing to accept his self-serving conditions. Luc thinks he created a flawless plan except he is a mob king, and she is terrified of him. – Luc’s language was terrible. He said f— often, but perhaps I should have expected that. He did horrible things, or had them done, as a mob boss. He had great love for his 4-year-old brother Eli and Eli’s nanny, Molly. That was sweet and endearing, and he was respectful to them.. I liked the love he showed them and his protectiveness of them
Loved this book
Boring
The language was vulgar, who talks like that!!
Good story. Liked the characters. And how much love you could feel they had for Eli. He was adorable. Molly the proverbial innocent. Shy and soft. She brings light into Luciano’s(luc) life. He is in love with her and he has no ide How to get her to be his and a mom to his little brother Eli, who he has guardianship of. He wants then to be a family. So he strategically makes this to be. But she loves him and sees him for who he is and how much he loves his family. I liked the story. It has its ups and downs as relationships do. From him not wanting to bring her down and also make himself vulnerable. Or not accepting that she isn’t a weakness that he cares for her. And her being ignorant to his other life as a mob boss. Only thing I didn’t like was how some things weren’t panned out. I don’t like Sean. He obviously only told her things to try and break them up to have a chance. Yes he wasn’t wrong but his intentions were and I feel that could have been fleshed out a bit. Then towards the end we go from a possibly major blow to a spark ok happiness in the aftermath of an attack to jumping to the epilogue. Yes obviously it worked out. But what happened. Did luc beat Sebastian and how? How did Ty fair getting better? How did molly make out? Sometimes the struggle of hospital visits and exams and wait rooms builds on a story well. Loved the ending.
If you’re a lover a dark mafia romances, this is a must read. Luciano (Luc) and Molly have such an impressive and explosive story. You can’t help but be drawn down into the gritty mafia world. Their story flowed so smoothly, their characters written so perfectly, I felt as if I was there, like a fly on the wall, feeling their emotions and experiencing everything that they were. The ending literally took my breath away. It was so shocking and surprising.
I loved reading Straight, No Chaser. It was a fast paced, easy read. It was full of suspense and guessing clear up until the very end. Luciano is a dark alpha and used to getting his way. He’ll stop at nothing to keep those he loves safe including murder. Luc falls in love with Molly whose his little brothers nanny. Molly doesn’t have a clue what type of work Luc really does until. Luc, Molly & Eli take a trip to visit her family. When Luc leaves to come home Molly learns from a friend that Luc isn’t who she think he is. Luc has to prove to her that he is everything she needs him to be and more.
The ending of this book will throw you for a complete loop. You won’t be disappointed.
This is an action packed, hot story! I really enjoyed it
Nikki Belaire’s Straight, No Chaser is the perfect Mafia romance.
Luciano Ellison, mob boss and playboy, finds himself responsible for the family business and a 4 year old brother once his father and step mother are killed. Knowing he can’t care for Eli himself and run the city, he hires a nanny for the child.
Molly is everything that Luc is not. Finishing her college degree, Molly is young and innocent and loves Eli unconditionally, providing the little boy with the feelings of stability and love missing in his life since his mother died.
Deciding that Molly is exactly what both he and Eli need in their lives permanently, Luc manipulates circumstances so that Molly has no choice but to turn to him for help. Sparks fly, but is it enough to make this relationship happen?
Can Luc change his ways and make room in his heart for a woman? What happens if Molly discovers just exactly who Luciano really is? Can Luc keep everyone safe while running the city’s mafia?
Straight, No Chaser is a great mafia love story bringing together two people from completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Nikki Belaire’s characters are well developed. I enjoyed watching Luc learn to change his bad boy ways while still maintaining his rule as mob boss. Molly, while young and innocent possesses a great inner strength and her unconditional love for Eli shines. And, Eli is adorable and will steal the hearts of anyone reading this book! The plot is enjoyable, and there are a few unexpected twists that readers will enjoy.
4.5 stars!
Love Luc and Molly, what a sweet love story that still had some mafia grit in it. Thank you Nikki Belaire, I enjoyed every minute reading this book and I recommend it.
