NOOO, It can’t be it! The last one I have loved all of these books in this series but had a bittersweet reaction to this one, on the one hand I needed to know what happens and on the other I tried to read slowly as I didn’t want it to finish and end. This book has it all action, drama, suspense, despair, plenty of heat, and a pretty good HEA with an epilogue that has hints of more.
I liked knowing more about Pip and Dakota, Pip’s easy acceptance of the situation and we see more of Dakota’s motivations for feeling the way he does and how he eventually lets them all in. Although I’m sad to see the end of this fabulous series I am glad that the universe in which it is set goes on. This engaging series has won a permanent place on my re-read list.
How do you kill a god? How do you kill a god if he’s your brother?
Poor Sawyer… God or not, this has actually been a dilemma since the dawn of time. You know, that whole good versus evil and survival of the fittest. Brother against brother, even when they had no choice.
I never would have thought when I read the first book, in the Chosen Series, over a year ago (goddess, I can’t believe it has been that long) that this is where we’d end up. I remember being terrified of those damned crows, and thinking how evil they were.
Over the last fifteen months all the mates have come (that means so many things) and Sawyer’s little pack is complete. The end is so close everyone can seem to taste it in the air.
Sawyer is having nightmares/ visions but he won’t share them. All he will say is they must move the children to safety.
The story opens with a “What the…” moment and it doesn’t stop until the end! And OH MY GAIA!!!! That blessed ending! Macy Blake, I could kiss and hug you like you were one of my own child! You made this old dragon lady very very happy, satisfied, elated, and very much looking forward to more Macy Blake books!
While I might not be the target audience for a gay Urban Fantasy Paranormal Harem Romance, I still qualify because I believe in love.
If you love series romance, comedy, suspense, sMMexy Swordplay, paranormal, magic, fantastical adventures, sweet kids, and all the romance and love your heart can hold, you will adore this series. I know I do.
Well done Ms. Blake!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am offering an honest review in return.
This has been one of my all time favorite series. This book felt epic, like I’ve been waiting for it forever.
It feels like I’ve known Sawyer and his mates for years. There books have always been amazing and they’ve inspired more books to create a pretty epic universe.
And while I’m sad to see it end, I’m also thankful that it existed. I loved every page, and I am always recommending this series to readers.
I’ve adored Sawyer and Draco since the very beginning, and I fell in love with each of their mates as they were introduced. This book is the conclusion they’ve been working towards, where Sawyer has to face off against his evil brother to save everything. I was not disappointed at all.
I was happy to see how much attention each mate was given, and I enjoyed getting to know Dakota better. Seeing him accept his place as a guardian and grow to care about his mates was lovely. And Pip was just as adorable as in the last installment. Draco’s desire to take care of his mates was stronger than ever. And Sawyer’s struggle to remember his past and take on his powers was sometimes heartbreaking.
I love love love this family, as well as all the characters in their world. I’m happy with the way this ended, but I’m thrilled to know that the author is going to continue with stories in this world. I hope to see lots more of Sawyer and his mates, and I’m hopeful that maybe Ben will be the next to find love. Regardless, I will keep reading, because this is a world I am enamored with, and I can’t wait for more!
First of all, Macy Blake deserves a standing ovation for all the work that went into this series and made it so incredible.
Now, for the book…before you start this book, make sure you’ve read the previous books. Then, take the day off work, shut off your phone/social media/anything distracting, let your family know that you are unavailable, and be prepared with chocolate, tissues, and beverage. You will go on one wild ride but trust me, it is all worth it. You will be shocked, amazed, teary eyed, happy, and everything in between. Everything that happens in the book is worth it in the end.
Now, I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series just to see what happens next 🙂
*WARNING* story contains explicit m/m sexual content
I have read this series from book 1 and that’s what I would suggest, because you’ll miss happenings if you don’t. I must say that there were a couple of times in this story where I was cursing Miss Blake and thinking “how could she do this to me”, but I loved this story. The ending was truly beautiful and brought a year to my eye. The journey to get to book 5, watching Sawyer and his mates try to put the pieces together and the war has been epic. Although I am sad to see the end of this series, the epilogue gives me hope that maybe I haven’t seen the the last of these characters.
Macy Blake did a wonderful job with this closing of this series. Dakota left you wondering will or won’t he, Pip is adorable and the other mates are oh so sexy. This final book had you on pins and needles all the way till the end. You get to see if Mikey wakes and if he gets reunited with his mates. A certain sexy alpha hellhound and his mate shows up. You just have to read it, it’s so awesome! Definitely recommend!!!
As a huge fan of the series, I was ecstatic when I received this book as an ARC and I immediately left everything I was doing to start reading it. Macy Blake is a genius creating a fantasy world between The Chosen One series and Hellhound Champions series, so each book was part of a giant puzzle that finishes with this one. I don’t want to spoil it for you, so I am just going to say a couple things: first, if you have not read the previous books, (if possible all in both series), I strongly recommend that you read them before this one, to be able to fully enjoy and understand the twists and turns in the plot, second, the way the story ended really blew my mind, it was full of action and danger, almost heartbreaking situations and a totally unexpected (and wonderful) final.
Of course, after everything, I’d really appreciate many spin-offs and following stories (pretty please with a lot of sugar on top?) to be sure every loose end has been tied up. Simply Wow!
The series finale of The Chosen One series has everything you could possible want in it. The story has some very intense emotional moments that will keep the reader glued to this story. The heat is scorching enough to melt the coldest heart!
The world building done in this series has been outstanding. We get to see all of our favorites come together in the fight of their lives.
Macy Blake has done a phenomenal job of bringing this amazing series to its conclusion. And that epilogue!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to read the spin offs that are to come. Well done Macy Blake and thanks for the ride!
Holy moly! What a ride we have been on with these characters Sawyer and all his mates! Their friends and family. Loved this series so sad to see it finished but the ending is brilliant!! Fingers crossed the world continues…
The Chosen Universe is so amazing. With 5 books in the Chosen series and 4 in the Hellhound series, there were a lot of storylines to weave together to make a successful series ending book. Stop at Nothing is what series finales dream of becoming! Somehow, Macy Blake has taken all of the loose ends from this truly amazing world and delivered her fans the best possible happily ever after. To get to that ending, however, there is a whole lot of heart wrenching moments and spectacular action. There are sexy times and moments that make you giggle out loud. And while giving us a super satisfying ending, there are just enough ideas left to make more books in this world a possibility – please, please, please! I have been thinking of this book ever since finishing it. It is a must read for fans of paranormal romance!!
Woah! This book was fantastic! This book picks up where the previous one ended. This book was so fun to read and see where Sawyer and his mates are in the huge prophecy. Macy Blake does an amazing job providing each of Sawyer’s mates a chance to share their feelings on the situation at hand. I love these characters so much and it’s really fun to be pulled back into this magical world full of hell hounds, fairies, and magic!
*I was provided with an ARC
Well played, Macy Blake, well played
“Magic is vague and mysterious…” Wow, we hit the ground running and don’t stop. I love how everyone has a part to play and they are fierce in their defense against a terrifying danger. That doesn’t mean that there’s not plenty of scorching sexy times, so many wonderful, steamy sexy times intertwined with beautiful, tender moments. My favorite part of the book, and series, is the family, the laughter, the snark and the love that exists between all of them. I love these guys and this world so hard. I am beyond content with the ending to this phenomenal and magical series. Now I need to reread them all again.
