From New York Times Bestselling author, Tricia O’Malley, comes a riveting magickal romance set in modern day Dublin. Clare MacBride has her life in exactly the order she wants it. In a year, she’ll have finished her geology dissertation, though she’s no closer to figuring out the answer to one question that plagues her. Why does she feel stones pulse with energy? A centuries-old curse, a … centuries-old curse, a mysterious faction of protectors, and a mythological godstone all sound like old world fairytale nonsense to Clare. It only takes one rainy evening with a silver-eyed fae and a handsome stranger promising protection to rock her world forever.
With her life plans shattered at her feet, the lines of science and fiction blur as Clare is forced to throw everything she knows about the world out the window and look deep within her heart for answers.

Well-written and an enjoyable read that brought many smiles to my face as I read. The author spent time in carefully crafting this story, though I believe it would have been an even richer experience with more detail. The tale seemed a bit rushed and simplistic in some areas; a slower evolution of the quest was called for.
I really enjoyed reading this page turner of a book! The characters and story with magic and romance made this a fun read! A must read!!
I think the book could have been longer. It seemed to spend a lot of time character building and rushed through the purpose of the story.
For lovers of the paranormal and especially the fae and the lovely countryside of Ireland (which I am) for sure and begorrah, but still not a fan of freezing my hiney off. This would be where I could spend the rest of my life if I could afford the wood to keep me warm and a Protector like the ones in this book when not near a fire place and a warm shawl to curl up in with a great book to read.
The characters are warm and inviting, so attractive and entertaining and drawn to each other and how they play off each other. It is out of the frying pan and into the fire from one moment and never knowing what will happen the next. But always something a brewing.
Can’t wait to read the rest of this series! Loved it!
Love the Irish fairy stories magical.
I couldn’t put it down. The story was an escape from everyday reality. It took you into a world about fairies who are saving the world. The story ends but the saga continues to other chosen ones to carry on.
Good book- I think I’m gonna have to buy the next in the series
I’m reading this series right now. Wonderful!
I’ve actually found this book through Bookbub emailing, it instantly caught my eye, so I purchased it as a light reading. When I started reading it, I got caught up and couldn’t let go until i’ve read the last sentence.
In this story, Claire’s quest is not only to find the stone that would help her save Ireland’s fate but, furthermore, to find herself and fulfill her destiny. The story brings us a tale where Ireland’s fate is in the hands of four seakers, who have to fulfill a series of quests in order to maintain reality and life as we mortals know it.
I’ve really enjoyed reading this book, seeing how Claire and Blake’s paths come together, how friendships are forged more stronger than they already were and, most of all, how Claire’s knowledge of reality gets twisted and changed when becoming close to the reality that magic exists. Her scientific brain struggles at times, but it’s a journey she has to take in order to achieve her goal.
It was a fun, entertaining read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book of the series.
It had all the elements to be a good story, but something was missing. Perhaps the world wasn’t built clearly enough.
A fun story of history, love, and magic… of the Emerald Isle and the fairies that bless the land.
I loved all the books in this series. Captivating!
Great before bed paranormal romance
Almost done, can’t wait to download next two books in the series
Love this author! Makes you care about her characters plus love the magic attached to her stories!
This book started out great. Good story line, good characters. Then suddenly it felt like the author got bored with the story and just wanted to get it done. Characters were rushed into circumstances that had no build up or examination of feelings about them. Just felt like it could have been so much more if the author had taken the time to actually flesh out the story.
I love all of Tricia O’Malley’s books set in Ireland ! Steeped in traditions the plots are intriguing and believable! Very enjoyable – will read the next in the series soon.
I really enjoyed how the book keeps you engaged. The twist and turns as you search for the stone kept you guessing.
Great book! Love everything she has written.
