Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé—according to his text—has forgotten about the wedding.Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight. At least it was, … spotlight.
At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.
The notorious Hollywood actor is starring in a movie based on the town’s infamous murder. When he’s not on set, Shaw hovers at the garage, watching as they build his custom motorcycle and irritating her with his handsome smile. He was supposed to leave once filming wrapped and go back to his fancy life, not buy the house next door.
But Shaw might regret that purchase once Presley’s ex-fiancé returns, bringing with him a war between old rivals that could burn both their houses down.

By far my favorite Devney Perry book! Pres and Shaw were everything! I read the story in one sitting because it was that amazing! I can’t wait to see what comes next from this amazing author!
NEW RELEASE from Devney Perry!!!
Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé—according to his text—has forgotten about the wedding.
A jilted bride and a swoony hero? Yes, please. Devney just knows how to hook me into her small-town romances. Love it!
After the way Riven Knight finished, I couldn’t wait to dive into Presley’s book!
Presley has been pretty closed off in the previous books, so I really enjoyed getting to see the real side of her in this one.
Shaw definitely isn’t who you expect him to be. He’s incredibly sweet and charming. Completely and utterly swoony. Presley gets to see a different side to him than what you see with his movie star persona. Seeing Shaw break down all of Presley’s walls that’s she’s built up, I absolutely loved it.
In pure Deveny fashion, this book is full of twists and turns that you don’t see coming. It will certainly have you flipping through the pages quickly and on the edge of your seat wanting to know more.
5 Stars
I knew Presley would have a story to tell and I’m so happy Devney Perry gave it to us! How horrible to left at the alter but after that door closed in walks Shaw! Shaw is persistent and dreamy and everything you’d want in a Hollywood actor. You learn so much more about the Tin Gypsies and Warriors and huge surprises about Presley’s past. More good things coming it seems from this series as well. Stone Princess was a perfect addition!
5 She’s His Anchor Stars!!!
She’s done it again!! Ms. Perry has written a book that kept me up and night and obsessing during the day. This one was one of my most anticipated reads this year and it was PHENOMENAL!! Talk about the right amount of angst, opposites attract, a little slow burn and the suspense I knew would be in the book and I’m in reader heaven!!
With this book we get a different viewpoint of what happened with Draven Slater through the eyes of Presley Marks, the girl that showed up in Clifton Forge several years ago and was wrapped up in the Slater and Garage family. The problem is, most people in town are leery of how this project will portray the events until they meet Shaw Valance and his promise to make this story real and not just “Hollywood.”
This man is everything I’d expect from a movie star but there’s a depth to him that surpasses those pre-conceived emotions making me see him as a man that’s not only pretty on the outside but also inside. His heart beats for our Presley upon their first meeting and he’s determined to get to know this girl no matter what it takes…the number of times she said “No” to him had me chuckling.
And oh Presley. This girl has lived horrors that aren’t imaginable. But her strength and perseverance along with the love of her “family” has shown her that she deserves love. But it’s not going exactly as planned and I have to tell you, I wanted to hurt someone because their actions! Not only is Presley having to deal with the aftermath of her humility there’s so much to what happened and as I kept reading and reading so I could the deets on it all.
Along the way, two people begin to fall in love, but fate and misunderstandings make their way into their lives and as much heat as Shaw and Presley generate, it’s not necessarily enough to keep the fires burning bright enough once the movie is done being filmed in Clifton Gorge.
And don’t you just know it when things settle down a little bit, we get a few surprises that while they were hinted at earlier in the book, still threw me for a loop….talk about betrayals!! This is one of my most favorite things about Ms. Perry and her books…she throws in side characters or conflicts that fit so well with the story but make us a just a little bit uncomfortable, scared and/or heartsick. I’m never complacent when I read one of her books which is why she’s an automatic 1-click author for me!
This book has everything I was hoping we’d get with this story plus so much more. Shaw and Presley are EVERYTHING!! He’s a man that needs Presley’s love to see that what he thought was broken could be repaired, and Presley needs his love to know that she’s worthy of unconditional love that not only heals her heart but also heals all her hurts!!
4.5 Stars
“You’re stronger and better than your past. Choose the life you want and work your ass off to make it happen.”
AHHH! This book was so addictive, like one sitting addictive. Stone Princess has that Devney magic that only she provides. All of her books are refreshingly different, yet I swear I could read one of them without a cover and know that she wrote it. What I’m trying to say is that she’s a phenomenal writer, and I’m obsessed with her.
I thought Stone Princess was going to be a hard one for me. I wasn’t sure if I’d like Presley. I also wasn’t sure if a Hollywood hotshot belonged in the small town of Clifton Forge. It’s actually funny to say that now because I freaking loved these two. Presley is she’s both strong and vulnerable. She was tough and had been through a lot. She also kept up walls for that very reason. She needed somebody to woo her. Enter the ex-cop, movie star Shaw Valance. He’s just everything. He could be just what Presley needs. He just doesn’t know her history nor the trouble that keeps coming to her doorstep.
I’m excited to continue this series. I’m looking forward to the story of sexy Luke, the rule-following chief of police. Yeah, I’m here for it.
A small town swoony hero? Um, YES PLEASE! This book is so heartwarming and you’re going to love it! Start reading it right now! Seriously!
I was so excited for this book after reading Riven Knight, Presley was so tough in the previous two books that I just wanted to know more about her. Presley was someone who hasn’t had it easy, she has a past that made her who she is now. Presley was just hurt by someone who she thought was the love of her life, she isn’t someone to show emotion too much so this crushes her.
What Presley didn’t expect was to meet Shaw, Shaw was seriously everything. Shaw from the moment he saw Presley he was hooked. Coming into town for a movie was what he intended to do, he never thought he would get more off of making a movie than he expected. Presley doesn’t go easy on Shaw, she doesn’t let him in and he just doesn’t give up.
These two had a chemistry that has me smiling like a crazy person, I loved how determined Shaw was to win Presley’s heart. I loved these two so much, there were so many suspense moments that had me on the edge of my bed. This book was everything!!! A must read!
Reading is still tough for me during all the craziness happening in the world and I’m noting that my reading preferences are currently in a shift. But Stone Princess is here and Presley’s story was one that I was waiting for especially with the way things ended in Riven Knight. We get a glimpse of what was to come with her story.
As with every book that I’ve tried to read over the past two months, it’s been hard for me to get into them. It was very much the same with Stone Princess for about the first 20%. But then we start to learn more about Presley and Shaw, these two have deep secrets that they’ve been keeping for a long time. And it is absolutely heartbreaking.
I loved Shaw so much and that was a bit unexpected. The movie star angle normally aren’t my favorite during a read, but he surprised me especially when we learn more about his character and his past. I don’t know why this was, but the fact he was police officer before his acting days, he became more real to me. Someone that we could relate to, he wasn’t just a full blown celebrity, there was this other side to him that was admirable.
Presley just might be one of my favorite heroines written by Devney and she’s definitely the strongest. For the past two books, we’ve only covered the surface when it came to her. We learn sooooo much about her that I wasn’t anticipating at all.
Devney gave us a pair in Stone Princess that felt so human to me, ones that anyone could relate to. I was not expecting the angst when it came to these two, but my heart was beating for it. Even though it was a tough start for me, I truly enjoyed their story. Devney definitely reaches beyond what she normally writes and brings us a new side to her writing. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
**Wouldn’t recommend to read as a standalone**
Trigger warning: suicide

Devney Perry
Devney Perry quickly became a one-click author for me when I found her books a few years ago. I love the captivating stories and wonderful characters she gives us. She did it again with the third book in the Tin Gypsy series, Stone Princess. A story that was sweet and intriguing and captivated me from start to finish.
I absolutely loved Presley and Shaw. Though they are opposites, there is something that draws them to each other. Presley was a determined and fierce character that did not let her past define her. Shaw was handsome, charming, caring and just as determined! Their banter was amazing and the chemistry between them was scorching hot. He was the alpha Hollywood actor and she the local girl with quite the history. Could they find a way to combine their worlds?
I absolutely loved reading Stone Princess by Devney Perry. I devoured it. It was emotional, suspenseful and full of the best feels. I would suggest reading the series in order, it is so worth it! I am so excited to see what comes next!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Stone Princess by Devney Perry is the third book in her wonderful Tin Gypsy series. Finally we get the story of Presley, the history behind her and her loser ex-fiance Jeremiah, and the introduction of a fantastically hot movie star new character, Shaw Valance. It’s a shame the super hot movie star is here to film a movie about one of the worst moment in Presley and the groups lives, the murder of Amina Daylee, the death of Draven, and all the darkness surrounding the town’s infamous murder.
Told in dual POV between Shaw and Presley, this book is well-written (as always), perfectly paced, filled with emotion and angst, Presley’s determination to stay away from Shaw, his determination to win her over, the inevitability of his return to LA, and the dark secrets they both have that they can’t bear to share but may just find each other worthy to unburden themselves, until that blows up in their faces. Loved it, so much, the deeper dive into Presley’s character, the continuation of Dash, Bryce, Isaiah & Genevieve’s lives, all of it! While a standalone story in the series it truly makes the most sense to read these books in order. Enjoy!
Devney Perry delivers another incredible story!! Presley and Shaw are amazing!!! Shaw is the movie star, Presley is the girl from a small town! She strong and stubborn and amazing!! Shaw is the guy who falls for the girl!
There are twists and turns and amazing characters with a deep history! I love this town, I love these people and I love how Devney Perry tells a story!!
With Stone Princess the Tin Gypsy series has officially become one of my favorites!
Presley Marks is the heart and soul of the Tin Gypsy family. She’s kept the Clifton Forge Garage running smoothly while Dash and the rest of the gang—and herself too—tried to move past the death of Draven. Presley’s only mistake was thinking her no-good fiancé would actually show up at their wedding. Sure none of the guys liked Jeremiah, didn’t think he was good enough for her. And he sure proved his worth by leaving her standing at the altar.
Licking her wounds, the last thing Presley needs is for Hollywood to come sniffing around and decide to make the movie on location in Clifton Forge. She doesn’t need any reminders about the murder and the man who did it. She lived through it once and she certainly doesn’t need any more heartbreak right now.
But there’s just something about Shaw Valance. Hollywood’s biggest star is starring in the movie. And he’s planning to spend a lot of time in Clifton Forge. He’s also hoping to spend a lot of time with Presley. And while she’s trying to fight it, her feelings and her heart just won’t let her. And they soon fall into something that could be so much more—if they’d just let love happen.
Man, I loved Presley and Shaw together. Loved their banter. Loved their growth and maturity and fight for the life and love they wanted and deserved. That they didn’t settle for less. Loved how Presley never allowed Shaw to sweep her off her feet with his Hollywood charm. Oh, he definitely swept her off her feet, but it was with the “real” Shaw charm and love.
And I really loved how they finally came together in the end for their happily ever after. Along with their Tin Gypsy family—especially Dash, Emmett, and Leo—who accepted Shaw into their fold.
If Stone Princess wasn’t already my favorite of this series—the heartwarming, sweet, amazing epilogue would have sealed the deal. And now I cannot wait for Noble Prince!
4 not your typical Hollywood stars.
I really liked that although this book is based on the making of a movie and a Hollywood star, it’s not your typical Hollywood trope book. I was a bit weary of Shaw, making a movie based on the gruesome murder that so deeply involved the Tin Gypsy fam was bound to stir some uncomfortable emotions and unresolved feelings. Yet he was impossible not to like, with his charm, transparency and honorable intentions. I’ve said it and I’ll keep saying it, Devney Perry writes the best heroes. With that said although I questioned some of her choices, I admire Presley in her journey and survival. Unfortunately I didn’t feel very connected towards her character.
Stone Princess is the third book in the Tin Gypsy series which can be read as a standalone or as part of the series. Presley has become a strong woman who does not play games and says what is on her mind after moving on from her humiliating past. Shaw is a sweet and funny hero who is looking for a change in his life. When Shaw and Presley first meet is like fireworks going off since Presley wants nothing to do with Shaw or his movie. Shaw is not deterred and is determined to get this little “pixie” to realize he is not the bad guy. The banter and chemistry between Shaw and Presley is fun, intense and steamy! Stone Princess is a enemies to lovers, small-town romance that is sweet and emotional with a dash of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This was my first book by Denveny Perry and I look forward to reading the other Tin Gypsy books!

Engrossing & Endearing, this is a typical Devney book with sizzling chemistry and deep, intense emotions. Well developed plot and engaging narration makes it a hard to put down book. small town stories, both hopeful and fresh, makes you a believer in instalove and happy endings.
Devney’s style of feel good stories are fast becoming my favourite. I’ve binge read her earlier books and even though this series has a lot of action, her signature sentimentality is the central theme.
she created The Tin Gypsies With Hearts of Lions. They protect their herd, provide for their family and if need be, kill the other predators trying to harm one of their own.
Such is the crazy family of Slaters of Clifton Forge Valley. Their garage is their lair, the people their own, they stand as one, have each other backs. Take for example, Presley. She was almost like a daughter to Draven. Dash, Emmet & Leo watched out for her, were there for her even when she was left alone at the Altar!!
She’s a pretty strong girl but right now she’s cut off at her knees.
“I’d spent yesterday in tears, nursing a broken heart and a raging hangover. Presley Marks was not a woman who cried easily. I’d given up on tears at a young age because they only earned me another slap. But yesterday, I’d let them fall freely.
I’d cried for being so damn stupid. And pathetic. And alone. And humiliated.”
In her small town descends Shaw Valence, who’s so far removed from her small & compact world in Montana, they might be on different planets altogether.
He’s the Handsome movie star, heartthrob of millions of girls, his smile and acting chops putting him in Multi- million bracket, while she’s barely sustaining, alone, bereft & grieving.
They meet, sparks fly and rest, as they say, is historic.
This book is the BEST in the series yet. Opposites attract but hearts repel. There’s too much “why me” insecurity residing in Presley’s heart
“He was too . . . polished. Too refined. Too perfect. I wasn’t going for perfect. I was going for good enough. Because good enough wouldn’t shatter my soul.”
Having been surrounded by fake Hollywood celebrities, he’s craving for The Real One and she’s the realest real he ever could hope to find. Straightforward, brusque and strong, their flying banter gets the electricity buzzing throughout.
Her constant NOs amuse him, and he relentlessly pursues her.
Devney has developed multi-dimensional characters, they are deep, love and hate with intensity, are fiercely loyal. She puts brotherhood right beside kinship and familial bonds made of steel. Despite the hardness of their lives, I felt so much love flowing between the people
Shaw made me realize you shouldn’t judge people before you get to know them. He’s sensitive and smart, beautiful person inside out.
“Trust. Partnership. Dedication. Loyalty. Friendship. Love. Peace.”
Presley is soft and sweet despite her stone armour that she hides behind to escape hurt and pain. Her connection with all the other characters, one-to-one are beautifully portrayed.
All the facets of relationships, blood or otherwise are polished and displayed in full glory. I was immersed & invested in them, felt everybody move around me as I was placed in the center of all their lives.
They’ve become my own now. I keep hearing and reading about what a fantastic man Draven Slater was. I’m now incredibly anxious to meet him, read about his life, his story.
And Tucker Talbot is another ghost of a character I’d like to see more of
“And the Warriors because, well . . . That was a different movie.”
Keep the books coming Devney, I’ve set camp in Clifton Forge Valley in Montana and I ain’t going nowhere
5 shining stars
Devney has blown my mind with this entire series! I’ve been devouring this series each time there’s a release, and after Riven Knight I’ve been dying to read Presley’s book.
Presley is maybe my favorite Devney character. I loved how she is so blunt and just takes charge of her life. Watching her deal with Shaw after her ex messed up was so entertaining. I loved how he was just there and made her so crazy! I loved their banter. I didn’t want to put the book down and I was so happy with how these two ended up together! LOVED!!
When Devney Perry writes a book you stop all your doing and read it.
Presley is the jilted bride with a dark past, Shaw Valance is the actor who wants to bring the town’s murder to the big screen.
Definitely a page turner, full of angst, persistence, suspense and above everything else LOVE! I fell in love with the inner strength of Presley and the I’ll never take no for an answer Shaw!
Every new book in this series becomes my favorite, I can’t wait to see what the next one brings!
“She was a little thing, probably just over one hundred pounds, but damn, she was a force.”
What a great addition to the Tin Gypsy Series!! Stone Princess follows the story of Shaw and Presley. Now, if you’ve been following this series like I have, then you’ve been dying to get your hands on Presley’s story like I have been. And let me tell you, Presley’s story does not disappoint.
When we first dive into Stone Princess, we see that Presley’s world has been turned upside down. On the day of her wedding, Presley’s fiance leaves her at the alter, totally heartbroken. Humiliated by the rumors of her small town, Presley takes every chance to hide from the world. Her job is anything but glamorous, but it’s hers. All is going to plan, until Shaw Valance blows into town. Shaw is a famous Hollywood actor who is staring in a film based on Clifton Forge’s most infamous murder. Presley immediately decides she doesn’t like him and isn’t about to let his smile and smooth talking change her mind. Presley can’t wait for the day that Shaw leaves town, but life has other plans in store for them….
Overall, I thought that Stone Princess was a really good read. It sucks you in from the very first page and before you know it, you’ll find that you’ve devoured the entire book. As I previously stated, I had been dying to get my hands on Presley’s story and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. I mean, if anyone deserved a happily ever after, it was Presley. Presley’s life had been anything but picture perfect, and when she thought she finally found her happy, the rug was ripped out from under her. My heart broke for our jilted bride, Presley and I could definitely see how she earned the name Stone Princess. Presley became more protective and guarded with her heart. When Shaw enters the picture, there is just something about him that pulls Presley in. These two couldn’t be more opposite, but they totally made it work. I loved that Shaw wasn’t your typical movie star. Sure he was cocky and a total smooth talker. But, he had a big heart and wasn’t afraid to after what he wanted. Together these two burned up the pages together and kept me begging for more.
Stone Princess is a fantastic story from beginning to end. The characters are amazing and just so easy to connect with. I loved the plot and couldn’t wait to see how it would all come together. This story had steam. It had romance. It had suspense and some surprising twists and turns. All in all, a fabulous read and great addition to this series. I can’t wait to see what adventure this author has in store for us next!
