Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé—according to his text—has forgotten about the wedding.Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight. At least it was, … spotlight.
At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.
The notorious Hollywood actor is starring in a movie based on the town’s infamous murder. When he’s not on set, Shaw hovers at the garage, watching as they build his custom motorcycle and irritating her with his handsome smile. He was supposed to leave once filming wrapped and go back to his fancy life, not buy the house next door.
But Shaw might regret that purchase once Presley’s ex-fiancé returns, bringing with him a war between old rivals that could burn both their houses down.

I was excited for this book. Presley’s character had me intrigued in the first two books of this series. I knew her book would be full of spunk, and I wasn’t wrong.
Presley is as hard as they come. Until she isn’t. Her facade of being hard as stone eventually has a few cracks in it. I loved seeing both her tough side and her vulnerable side. The author does a really great job at mixing the two sides of her really well.
I admit I cringed a little when I saw that her possible love interest was a movie star. I’m not usually a fan of celebrity type books. But this one isn’t like those I’ve read in the past. It’s unique. It’s not glitz and glamour. I was glad for that. I enjoyed the fierceness and persistence that Shaw possessed in this book. It made for a very interesting and entertaining read.
Overall, this book was very enjoyable. I devoured it pretty quickly. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. This author has become go-to now that I have read all of her books. No one can deny her talent for weaving a good story.
This was my introduction to the Tin Gypsy world and what a first impression this book made! I loved the interaction between Shaw and Presley and found this a hard book to put down.
There were parts of this book that had me on the edge of my seat with the anticipation of what was going to happen next. A definite must read!
Out of all the books in this series, I was so excited to get Presley’s book. She has been through so much and then her wedding day, which was supposed to be the best day of her life and the groom had forgotten about the wedding.
Now, she is having to deal with the movie that is being made in Clifton Forge and the lead actor who just won’t stay away. Enter Shaw!
From the moment Presley turned her blue eyes to him, he was hooked. They both thought it was a short fling, but when filming was over and things happen that make Shaw believe the worst, Presley is devastated. It takes them a while to work through everything, but when faced with a violent situation Shaw knows he will do anything to protect Presley.
Love this story. Love Presley and Shaw! And love the life and family that have built for themselves, because they both deserve to be happy.
I really, really enjoyed this book! Deveny Perry has a natural & beautiful talent to tell a story that captivates from page one! Throughout the Tin Gypsy series we’ve seen how Presley has been there for everyone else, now it’s her turn. YAY!!
Presley has been an anomaly. She’s been fiercely independent, except when it comes to Jeremiah. I’ve been dying to know why! For someone who is so determined to break away from her beginnings, to so easily and readily fall into a relationship with Jeremiah and STAY, despite their horrible relationship and everyone’s warnings just didn’t make sense. I wanted, needed, I had to have answers!! Presley’s the one who has been there for everyone else, but you never really know much about her or see what’s behind the façade she presents. In this book, Devney breaks that barrier and we finally get to experience the real Presley, to see what makes her tick. I found it wasn’t as cut and dry as I thought. Presley had some idiosyncrasies to her. As Devney peels back the layers we find that Presley has wounds that are the driving force of her decisions. In other words she’s human with flaws, like everyone else. It makes her character relatable and gives us the ability to make a deeper connection with her character and champion for her happiness even more.
After Jeremiah, Presley isn’t ready for another “charmer” especially the Hollywood type. But Shaw just might be her Kryptonite, Oh man! He might be the kryptonite for us all. Gorgeous, hunky, alpha-ish, sweet and down to earth.
“Shaw chuckled and –sweet Jesus- his voice was so smooth, like a satin ribbon running through my fingers.”
Shaw is instantly mesmerized by Presley like nothing he has ever experienced before. He finds himself doing anything to go by the shop to just be in her presence. Even if she plays it that he irritates her.
“Presley was ice and fire with cool blue eyes that blazed with fury.”
“She pretended not to care, but her eyes betrayed her.”
Aw these two! Volleying back and forth until the tension is wrought with so much steam we need to wipe the fog from the windows! Shaw is able to chip away at Presley’s exterior and we find the beginnings of something beautiful. Initially, I didn’t think they would be a good match, but boy oh boy! These two are the perfect combination. The most important thing Shaw could give her, he did, the security she needs to be herself.
“I loved that kiss. I wanted a kiss like that every day until I had dentures. But Shaw was leaving. He wasn’t boyfriend material. He was a movie star.”
As wonderful as it all is, the reality is….he’s leaving. He’s Hollywood. The famous Shaw Valance. They are two different worlds from which neither wants to leave. This is the beginning of the end.
Of course Devney creates multiple plots to the story. LAYERS! Multiple thought provoking layers! Just when things are looking good and happy, a mysterious Presley look alike is spotted in town. Jeremiah suddenly resurfaces and this time making demands. The twisting plots ratchet up the story’s suspense and tension. That tension spills over into their relationship hindering all progression. Progression Shaw fights.
‘I’m not perfect, Presley. I’m just a man, flawed like any other. The perfection is an illusion.”
“But he was perfect because he saw his flaws. Because they made him human. He embraced them. Owned them.”
We discover that Shaw is something amazing.
“Feeling his lips on mine was like coming home after a long day. It was like finding the sanctuary, the solace I’d been missing for months. The boat of my life stopped rocking. The waters of my soul calmed.”
But just as Presley begins to believe in their relationship and a possible future. Events cause their worlds come crashing down.
Even though this is book three in the series, it can be read as a standalone. Devney did a fantastic job giving background information enabling the reader to understand and enjoy the story as though they’ve read the series. As much as I appreciated that the information, for someone who has read the series it made parts of the book cumbersome. Those parts however, did offer Presley’s perspective of history. She really made me miss Draven!!
This story had me in knots. I wanted Presley to have her happy and I felt Shaw was the man for the job. I just wasn’t sure how with their different worlds that would happen. Also Jeremiah and the mystery woman, EEK! I was on edge from the time she was mentioned until chapters later when she showed up. Eagerly stomach clinched waiting to see what plot twist she would bring. I didn’t like the mysterious woman AT ALL!
She had zero love for Presley despite what may have been claimed. Presley needs to open her eyes on that one for sure. A well written story, hook, line, sinker! It was captivating and sucked me in until the end. I especially loved the 7 year epilogue!!!!!!
Another great book to the series!!
I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
Stone Princess has it all. A fantastic, layered, and real love story. A hero and heroine that make you root for them. And, a unique spin on a Hollywood trope. Stone Princess had me laughing, swiping away a few tears, and grinning like a fool as Shaw and Presley fell in love.
Stone Princess was the surprisingly heartwarming new edition to the Tin Gypsies series. Going in I expected a bit more twisted and angst driven storyline not the addictively sweet, intense, and steamy story Shaw and Presley gave me.
From the previous books Presley was the quirky yet somewhat hidden behind the scenes character. She’s intrigued me quite a bit and I enjoyed seeing her character grow and find her place in the family she’s found in Clifton Forge. I was a bit uncertain at first about Shaw but adored how great he was for Presley even if I wanted to throttle him once or twice.
I love the small town romance feel threaded throughout this series and with the mere glimpse of what’s to come I can’t wait to see what new adventures the Tin Gypsy family has in store!
“There were so many ways to interpret two words. Only so many ways to alter their meaning with inflections. But no matter how many times I said his name in my head, Shaw Valance would always be mine.”
Stone Princess is the third book in this series of stand alone romance and tells the story of Presley, the office manager of Clifton Forge Garage and Shaw, the Hollywood superstar. The story continues with Presley trying to move on from the heartache of being jilted at the altar by her fiance Jeremiah. I loved that we’ve finally known the mystery/ backstory of Presley and on how she became the tough woman that she is right now. I loved that Shaw is a persistent, sweet kind of guy, despite him being Hollywood A-lister and never took no as an answer from Presley. Although it was instant attraction, feelings went far deeper as they get to know each other. There are some twists and turns, and a heart-pumping action that I have come to expect and love. Overall, another great addition to this series!
I loved this book . Had been waiting on Presley’s book and loved the relationship between her and Shaw. Can’t wait for the next book.
4.5 stars
Since I started the Tin Gypsy series, I’ve been dying to get my hands on Presley’s story. It’s clear that she has a lot going on and that our other main characters really care about her. So needless to say, I was excited when I knew she was getting her own story! Even though these books could technically be read as standalones, I really recommend reading the first two before diving into this one. You’ll understand the events and some reactions to things going on so much better!
Even though I’ve loved all of the characters so far, Presley’s story has made her my favorite. She’s an authentic character. She may try and hide her emotions from the ones that she loves and love her, because she doesn’t want them to worry. But Presley feels a lot and has been through a lot. She is a person you want in your corner, she tells it like it is and has walls up, because she’s afraid of being hurt again. Presley grows so much in Stone Princess. She really finds her strength and learns to let her walls down and love.
Shaw was an interesting character. He’s a movie star, but I knew from the start there would be a lot more. At first it seems like he’s just there for the movie that will affect a lot of the characters we’ve come to love. I think that is the case at first, but Shaw comes with some baggage himself. Shaw is in the spotlights, but that’s not what’s the most important to him. In this small town he finds something he didn’t know he was looking for. He’s sarcastic, sometimes full of himself, but he has a heart of gold. It was also nice to see that there were things he had to work on as well. Shaw’s background story was really interesting and fit this story well.
The romance was steamy and I couldn’t get enough. Presley and Shaw are so much fun together and I think they needed each other more than they realized. Their banter was fun and it was a nice pace that it wasn’t love at first sight (even if there was an attraction from the start). The small town suits them and I loved the epilogue at the end. Stone Princess left me with a smile on my face.
On top of that, we get to see the cast of characters we’ve come to love from the previous two books. They’ve definitely become family and I love reading about them more and more. Also, I can’t wait for the books to come, because there are so many characters I want more of. If you’re looking for a series with romance, humor, an amazing cast of characters and moments that leave you on the edge of your seat, I definitely recommend Tin Gypsy!
I loved this book so hard! It had all the elements that I loved from the Jamison Valley series and the suspense from Gypsy King, the first in this series. Presley and Shaw are by far my favorite couple in this series so far, I adore how much Shaw is so swoony with Pres, their relationship was a wonderful angst build up and the suspense and unknown about their pasts and their current future kept me hooked.
Stone Princess follow Presley who works a the local clifton forge garage and is close friend with Dash who owns the garage after his father whom was Pres’ father figure passed. Now if you haven’t read the past books, stop now and make sure you do because a lot of what happens discuss’ the past characters. Presley and her friends are on tense ground because hollywood is making a story about the towns local murder which involved Dash and Genevieve’s father and Gens mother. Hollywood star actor Shaw Valance is acting and producing this movie and wants to meet those involved without being pushy. Of course Pres doesn’t like the idea of the movie and she and Shaw get off to a rocky start. But thing change when Pres meets the man behind the acting, however temporary they both are not prepared for what happens next.
I loved this book, I’m not sure what it was about these two but they really spoke to me. I loved the normality of Shaw how he wasn’t an arrogant hollywood type and he truly care about the story and accuracy to make sure he new the truth. I was also thrilled to get to know Presley more, she was an awesome side character in the past books and I loved her attitude and was sadden by her background. But she really was a tough cookie and Shaw brought out the light in her.
I cant wait for the next books, I know for sure who its about after the ending here but I so cant wait for Emmets book, I want that like yesterday!
Devney Perry, author of “Stone Princess” has written an emotionally charged, suspenseful, and romantic book. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her dramatic characters as complex and complicated. There are secrets, and betrayals.
Presley Marks is ready for her wedding, and her fiance doesn’t show up. Presley continues to work at the Clifton Forge Garage, which proves to be a wonderful hideout to nurse her wounds. That is until there is news that a movie is going to be made about the notoriety of her friends’ family tragedies.
Presley is also not prepared for the charming lead actor, who visits the garage. Nor is she aware that her ex-fiance and his gang can bring trouble to their door.
I would highly recommend this suspenseful romantic novel for readers who enjoy this genre.
I’m so addicted to this series. I couldn’t wait to read this book because I knew I was going to not only be glued too my kindle but I knew I was going to love the characters and this story. Presley and Shaw are absolutely a couple that you will absolutely love and definitely root for. The twist in this story I didn’t see coming and thank god because I can’t stand books that are predictable. Another 5 Star read and characters that you will love. Definitely a must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I loved this book so much! I was so excited for Presleys story and it didnt disappoint. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldnt put the book down! Devney keeps topping herself with each book she puts out! This is definitely one of my favs! I cant wait for the next one!!
Received an arc for an honest review
Devney never disappoints and Stone Princess is no exception!
This story has a lot of action and suspense going on. If you’ve read the first two books in the series, then you know there are going to be loose ends to tie up.
I loved getting to know Presley. I never felt like I got a good sense of who she was in the other books. She is a tough chic, yet so sensitive and she cares about her people. She puts up a big ole barrier but really wears her heart on her sleeve. I loved her style.
Movie Star Shaw. He is just the best match for Presley if he can get the time of day from her.
Enjoyed their banter and chemistry.
Some parts of the story really put my heart through the wringer but in the end it survived. This took a complete different direction than I was expecting and I hope there is going to be more.
Presley & Shaw’s story is a lot of fun, but also has a very deep emotional well that made me tear up a few times. They have instant chemistry, but of course Presley has her guard up from everything she’s been through, especially in the couple of years right before they meet. (Speaking of which – while this CAN be read & enjoyed as a stand alone, due to the story line itself, spoilers from the first two books abound, so I highly recommend reading in order for the overall larger story.)
The banter is strong with these two, and they really have a sweet story. I love how protective they are of each other. There are some bits toward the end that I wasn’t a fan of, and I struggled a bit with each of their decisions at that point. However, the author brought it back around & made me fall in love with and forgive both of them! ; ) And I looooove Shaw’s background!
I really enjoyed their story & catching up w/ our past couples, and getting that hint of the next book, WHEW!! : )
The long awaited story of Presley Marks is finally here with Devney Perry’s 3rd book in this series. Reading the previous 2 books you wonder and wait patiently for Perry to weave the story of Presley. I was expecting a story connecting her fiancé from the Tin Gypsy’s rival motorcycle club into her life and unraveling their love story…what I got was not that at all… Still suspenseful and heartbreaking and amazing, I could not put this book down until the last page.
Ahhh, another new favorite from the fab Devney Perry!
First, I love this series! So much! Second, this book is up there for my fave of the Tin Gypsy series…
All I can and will say is get ready to be consumed. By love! Unstoppable, hypersonic and undeniable sparks!
Devney writes in her usual raw and realistic style of romance. It’s one of the reasons I love this authors writing so much! RI love sexy and sweet romance so much! And that’s exactly how I’d describe Stone Princess. Presley and Shaw’s story will stay with you, even after The End! Can’t wait to see what the author writes next.
Wow ! What a captivating and steamy suspenseful read ! This book takes us on a journey of finding forgiveness and true love and it’s told beautifully . Definite must read if your a fan of this author and series! Wonderful characters amazing plot overall 5 star read ! Don’t miss out on Presley and Shaw’s romantic tale of falling in love , this is a story that will definitely stick with me forever. <3
As much as I hated what Presley went through at the end of Riven Knight, I was super excited to get to know more about her in her own story. And Stone Princess – what an incredible and addicting story! I really enjoyed the opposites attract / enemies to lovers romance between Shaw and Presley. They couldn’t have come from two different backgrounds, but they immediately caught the other’s attention that first moment Shaw walked into the garage. Presley didn’t make it easy on him, repeatedly turning down his advances, but after what she had just gone through – she had definitely built a wall around her heart. But Shaw was persistent and never gave up. He could feel the chemistry and connection that they had, and he wasn’t going to leave Montana without finding out what was between them.
Stone Princess is definitely a wonderful addition to the Tin Gypsy series…….and after that ending and epilogue, I’m excited to see what comes next in the town of Clifton Forge!
