Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé—according to his text—has forgotten about the wedding.Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight. At least it was, … spotlight.
At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.
The notorious Hollywood actor is starring in a movie based on the town’s infamous murder. When he’s not on set, Shaw hovers at the garage, watching as they build his custom motorcycle and irritating her with his handsome smile. He was supposed to leave once filming wrapped and go back to his fancy life, not buy the house next door.
But Shaw might regret that purchase once Presley’s ex-fiancé returns, bringing with him a war between old rivals that could burn both their houses down.

Presley was stood up on her wedding day by a text. He forgot it was their wedding day. She should have read the signs and listened her family at the Clifton Forge Garage that he wasn’t good enough for her but hindsight is 20/20. Now as she is nursing her wounds, trying to get back on track with life and has sworn off men for a hot second, Shaw Valance, Hollywood’s hottest actor, comes storming into Clifton Forge ready to make a movie about the town and everything that the family wants to forget. When Shaw walks into the garage to learn more for the film and ask for a custom bike build, he meets Presley and is instantly struck by her. He wants to learn more about her and spend more time with her but she can’t say the same. But Shaw doesn’t quit and he gets under her skin and gets her to admit that she feels the same pull.
I really enjoyed Shaw and Presley (except her nickname, Pres. I see that and see President and this being a kinda-sorta MC book it SUPER irked me. Rant over.) I loved how persistent Shaw was, he was kinda perfect in the way that he pursued Presley. I also loved that she made him work a bit. I am loving that the plot from book one is still running thick through this one. I am loving how interconnected this series is so far. I am loving the dash of suspense that comes along with each book. 4.5 Stars for me.
Stone Princess is another one that will tug at the heartstrings. Presley’s story is so freakin tragic and her journey a testament to the strength she found thanks to the Tin Gypsies.
With Aminas murder all wrapped up and Cheif of Police Marcus Wagner tucked away in jail for her murder, Hollywood comes to town. Shaw Valance, actor and owner of the production company that’s making a movie about Aminas murder, visits the garage and as expected, he’s not well received. Presley is a take no prisoners type of woman especially after wasting years on Jeremiah. Shaw is going to have his hands full with Presley. Another outstanding read.
This series just keeps throwing surprises my way! With book three in her highly addictive Tin Gypsy series Devney Perry captivated me from page one and kept me on my toes throughout. Highly entertaining turmoil always manages to flare to the surface when this group of loveable misfits are involved and I always find myself entrenched in their drama. I’m binging the series because it’s so much angsty goodness!
Presley is tough with a sweet center, but having the man she thought she was going to marry stand her up at the alter just might be her downfall.
Shaw is kind and down-to-earth in a smug, rich guy sort of way. I enjoyed him more than I was expecting.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close knit MC type of group who knows each other’s secrets and is willing to bury the body with no questions.
Full disclosure people, when I read the first two books in The Tin Gypsy series, I really did not care for Presley very much. She was a bit rude, standoffish and a bit prickly for my taste and not in a good way. Now that I have read Stone Princess I can say without a doubt I am so happy to be proven wrong.
Presley Marks does not play games and she is not about to take anyone’s crap. After being left at the alter she is done with men and their issues. That is until Shaw Valance comes to town to film a movie, a very personal movie to her friends and family in Clifton Forge. Presley might be attracted to Shaw, but she is set against hating the actor who is going play the real-life villain in her family’s life.
You need to read Gypsy King and Riven Knight before you start Stone Princess because from basically page one you are being caught up on the happenings from books one and two. While you get a good refresher, it is not nearly enough to tell the full story. Presley and Shaw were delicious!! Their story was angsty, real, and perfect!! You will not want to miss this book!!
There’s never a dull moment in this book! Don’t interrupt my reading and that has been my attitude from page one. Presley worked in the office of an auto repair center, aka owned and operated by a former motorcycle gang. She had been there ten years and become part of the family of brothers who were now married, had families and were part of he community. She was to be married and then to her shock and horror, the groom “forgot” to attend. It was funny and a blessing to some but not to her. As she recovers the embarrassment, she tells herself she is done with men and “no” is her answer. It was a fun story; it was harsh in places; and, in reality her life is like others of today. I loved Presley and I loved Shaw Valance who took her “no” and threw it away over and over. I laughed and laughed at her. Thanks to the author for thinking of her fans who appreciated the lower price, hooked us in, and we are onto the next book.
Devney Perry shot to the top of my automatic 1-click author’s list from the moment I finished The Birthday List a few years ago. Something about her writing resonates with me. But I have to admit I was very wary of the Tin Gypsy series. I am NOT an MC romance girl. So I debated. It wasn’t technically an MC romance book, and it was a new favorite author, so I took the plunge while I had some time during quarantine. Honest moment though…if Perry’s name weren’t attached to these books, I most likely would have passed them over and not even debated reading them. Since my first reading of this book almost a year ago, I’ve re-read the entire series at least once. And as I type this, I’m considering another re-read as we approach the next book’s release day.
Presley and Shaw’s story is an opposites-attract trope if I’ve ever seen one. Their worlds couldn’t be farther apart. She’s small town and never wants to leave. He’s bright lights, big city and (mostly) loving it. But when their worlds collide, sparks definitely fly, and the chemistry is undeniable. Despite his current job, I really liked Shaw’s character. With his background in law enforcement, he isn’t your typical Hollywood star. And when Presley’s past comes back to haunt her, he’s not afraid to jump into the fray. Opposite in every way, the obstacles to their relationship might just be insurmountable.
Though I liked Presley and Shaw’s story, it wasn’t as unputdownable as the first two Tin Gypsy books, but as an avid romantic suspense fan, this book was, once again, a very satisfying read. While there are a few mentions of the mystery that unraveled in the first two books, and the suspense in this book is loosely tied to the previous one, Stone Princess is more of a standalone title than the first two Tin Gypsy books. So, if you’re looking to read just one book right now and not devour an entire series, this is the one I’d recommend reading. With that said, though, I highly recommend giving all of the Tin Gypsy books a shot, even if you aren’t an MC romance fan like me. I think you’ll find that they are far enough removed from MC that you’ll enjoy the unique storyline and characters of this book and the entire series.
I give Stone Princess by Devney Perry 4 out of 5 stars!
NO SPOILERS!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Tin Gypsy series! Stone Princess was a sexy, emotional, suspenseful, and swoon-worthy MUST READ standalone in this riveting and addicting small town romantic suspense series, and I absolutely loved Shaw and Presley’s story!
The storyline was fantastic. As always, Devney Perry kept me entertained and on my toes from start to finish, wondering what was going to happen next. I loved everything—maybe with the exception of a few moments—about Shaw and Presley’s story and was ecstatic with the conclusion. It made me incredibly happy and had me smiling ear to ear.
The characters were phenomenal. I adored Shaw and Presley to pieces. I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how most of their relationship progressed throughout. Shaw and Presley were a perfect match and I loved watching their love story unfold. I also loved seeing several Clifton Forge, Montana, residents again. Truly an amazing cast of characters.
Stone Princess was a MUST READ standalone in the sexy, suspenseful, emotional, and swoon-worthy Tin Gypsy series, and I would definitely recommend Shaw and Presley’s story! Devney Perry has done an outstanding job with this series so far, and I can’t wait to continue it in the next standalone, Noble Prince!
Yay! Another great book from the Tin Gypsy series! I’ve loved this series so far! As soon as I was done with book two I was really hoping this was book three. Presley was awesome! She may me tiny but she’s strong with a spine of steel and she don’t put up with anything. Seems she was the perfect women for Shaw the movie star. I really loved the storyline for this book. I love how it tied together from the first two books and it really created a great segue for the next book. I’m becoming a really huge fan of Devney Perry with these being my first books from her and I’m dying for book four! Binge reading this series is definitely the way to go! I can’t put them down!
Stone Princess is the third book in Devney Perry’s Tin Gypsy series and it makes us deeper in love with Clifton Forge and the ‘family’ at the Clifton Forge Garage! Stone Princess is garage manager’s Presley Mark’s story … and like any true princess, she needs her own prince and her prince comes to the town to film the story based off the book that tells the story of town’s infamous murder, murder that not everyone knows everything about … her prince is the notorious Hollywood actor Shaw Valance … he is supposed to be in town only until the filming is over AND Presley is the go-between between the Slater family/Clifton Forge garage family and the film crew aka Shaw … she asks him a question that I believe not many film makers ask when they film stories based on true stories … “ This isn’t fiction. This is my family. Did you ever once ask yourself who was on the other side of the murder?”
The story will suck you in and will not let you go and I love how the writer keeps telling the stories from both leads’ point of views as it pulls you in deeper so you are no longer an observer but you are living and breathing along the characters … Presley was someone who always tickled my curiosity and as always, Devney did not disappoint in giving her a back story, a story that leaves you breathless and in pain and you know that you need to reach for the next book in the series … trust me!
I love this series so much! It is so addicting! These characters are so raw and real with great character development. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because of the miss communication halfway through with the love interests. I just don’t like reading about something that could have been handled so easily but will go on for half the book. Thank God this one didn’t! Go get your copy today!
Ugh!! The Tin Gypsy series just keep getting better and better! Will there ever be a Devney Perry book I won’t absolutely love? To be honest I’m so obsessed with these books I don’t think the author could write something that would disappoint me. Every time I think there are just two books left to be released until we reach the end of this journey (Fallen Jester and Tin Queen) I get a bit emotional. Okay okay, a lot emotional. I’ve grown to love these characters so much!
Presley Marks had caught my attention since the very first book. The Tin Gypsy gang hated Jeremiah, the guy she was engaged to, and I trusted their judgement so needless to say I immediately disliked him. I was certain Devney wouldn’t let Presley end up with a guy like Jeremiah, so when he ended up not showing up on their wedding day I was far from surprised. I mean… The guy couldn’t even buy his fiancee an engagement ring. He didn’t deserve her.
Shaw Valance, on the other hand, definely deserves a woman like her. This absolutely gorgeous actor comes to Montana in order to film an upcoming movie he stars in, Dark Paradise. It’s a movie based on Amina Daylee’s brutal murder, and he plays none other than Marcus Wagner —the cop who stabbed her to death and then tried to frame Draven Slater for the murder instead. To say Presley hates the idea of this movie being made is an understatement.
Presley is determined to dislike Shaw, but let’s be honest here: it’s impossible to dislike that man. He’s sweet, cheerful and gorgeous. He’s humble, despite his extreme wealth and power. He’s also her new neighbor, so all those things combined make it practically impossible for Presley to resist his charm. She might seem indifferent on the outside, but the little gestures she makes (like suddenly leaving the blinds in her bedroom open when she always kept them shut) show just how interested she is.
She makes a habit of saying ‘no’ to Shaw no matter what he asks, but when it comes to spending quality time with him *flashes a devilish smile*, she’ll never say no. These two together are so hot and so sweet and so perfect! They’re unable to resist each other, but their connection is not just physical. They trust each other enough to open up and share things about their pasts, things that not many people know about them.
Time passes in a flash and soon Shaw’s time in Montana comes to an end. Presley might seem unaffected by his upcoming departure, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s going to miss him and she knows it — she just won’t admit it out loud. Shaw on the other hand doesn’t hesitate to show how he’s feeling and he is determined to keep in touch with Presley even if they’re many miles apart. A huge misunderstanding, though, destroys his plans. He thinks Presley betrayed him by exploiting his personal life to the media in exchange for money, and when he contacts her again he’s… Harsh.
Shaw’s last words to Presley -before he blocked and permanently deleted her number— were clear: he never wanted to hear from her again.
He finds out he wronged Presley soon enough, and then it’s time for begging. Gaining Presley’s trust is a pretty hard task, but shattering it is as easy as it gets. Earning it again? Nearly impossible.
Really loved this story. Excellent writing….love this author.
This series is fantastic.
This is the third book in the Tin Gypsy series, this time featuring Presley and Shaw, and even though it can be read as a standalone, I totally recommend reading the previous books first. You can understand the story without them, but I think you’ll enjoy it more if you get the whole scene and meet the other characters first.
Besides, I repeat: this series is fantastic.
After everything that Presley and bond-family went through, the last thing they need is Shaw’s project about their nightmare. But what started as animosity and resistence, soon became acceptance, understanding, connection and ultimate respect.
Presley has been burned time after time in her life, so it’s only expected that she get wary around Shaw. But she is bound to realize that there is no way someone can’t like him.
Not only for his practiced, million-dollar smile. Actually, even in spite of that.
He is genuine, caring, honest. He is determined, but in a respectful way, and little by litte he starts to crumble the fortress Presley built around her heart.
Presley is extremely loyal. She is resilient, strong, a survivor, but also sweet, with a soft, tender heart.
They were to each other what they hadn’t expected, but exaclty what they needed.
In this book, you’ll find suspense, intrigue, a true bond between family members chosen by the heart, sexiness, dread, passion.
So, so good.
The books in this series keep me on my toes! Love the story even though it brings you to tears in places. Love it!
Love Devney Perry!
Stone Princess is the third book in the Tin Gypsy series by Devney Perry, and if you love MC/ small town romances, then this one will be for you.
The book is about Presley, the Clifton Forge Garage secretary. You learn that she has been jilted on her wedding day, by her no good, MC biker boyfriend Jeremiah. Presley is devastated, feeling like a fool for trusting the one man all of her friends warned her about. But Presley is resilient, she has already been through too much to let this fester, so she does what she needs to do, forced herself to get back up, and return to normality.
But when Shaw Valance, a hot shot actor turned producer arrived in Clifton Forge to work on Dark Paradise, the film about Presley’s frienda mother’s murder, she is protective and determined to keep him at a distance.
Presley fears that the film with lack authenticity and paint her much loved boss Draven in a bad light. She can’t bear the thought as he had been like a father to her, so she wants more than anything to hate Shaw. But her and Dash see it as an opportunity to learn more, to try and find out more about the inner workings of the film, and Presley is determined to be the one to retrieve the answers.
Shaw is besotted with Presley from the onset. She is unlike any woman he has ever met, and he can’t understand why she is always telling him ‘no’. But can he woo her enough to turn that no into a yes?
A beautiful story that continues the drama of my favourite motor cycle club. The characters are all loveable, and Shaw and Presley’s romance is on fire.
The perfect read for those who love the wild antics of an MC world.
Presley and Shaw’s story will have you captivated from the very beginning. Their story is a real page turner.
I just love the Tin Gypsy series!! Shaw Valance was EXACTLY who Presley deserved!! I loved the banter that these two built on to come together.
Devney has done it again! WOW
Third book in this series and each part of this journey gets even better and I loved the first 2 books.
Presley has a no show groom at the alter, and everyone had been warning her about him. She plans to swear off men, especially Shaw Valance the big movie star in town making the movie about their lives.
Shaw has set his sights on the small town especially the feisty Presley who does her best to shoot him down at every turn. I love all the feels and excitement and suspense of their story.
And cannot wait for the next books in the series. Lots of twists and turns in this book in this small town of Clifton Forge with this wonderful cast of characters. LOVE LOVE LOVE
