I very much enjoyed this book. My maiden name was K Jackson so I decided to read partly from that. I found the story original, entertaining and it kept from doing things I should have been doing.
I liked it
Loved how the author allowed the female to be strong and smart!
Real stuff in a Regency package. The plot is typical Regency. Spy…treason…danger blah blah. But the way the love story is handled–the way the danger is done–c’est manufique. The real traumatizing of a character is rare. And both characters are fully scarred before the story starts. The plot interrupts some awesome bonding and the stupid plot …
Definitely on my read again list!
A good beach read
Fun read
Very good!!
Enjoyed the story of reluctant lovers who find their happy ever after.
Lady Augustine Christopherson roams the darker parts of London at night dressed as a hack driver. Her mission is to kill the men that have tried to kill her. Attacked one night by her assassins, the Duke of Dunway comes to her rescue. Devin has a dark side, but Aggie grabs his heart and doesn’t let go. He vows to protect her with his life. A …
When I received this book as a gift from a friend I was excited. I hadn’t read much by K.J. Jackson so she is new to me. The book description sounded like it would be a great story and well it was.
First off I must say any story that has a strong female lead is always a good way to start a story for me. Aggie is definitely that. She is strong, …
Here is another one where when I got past the second chapter I inhaled it! Aggie and Devin both have an uphill climb to happily ever after. Devin is fighting the demons of his past, and Aggie is being chased through London by some significantly more corporeal ones. When Devin ends up in Aggie’s cab as she stages an ambush to lure out her …
I couldn’t wait to see how this was going to turn out. It didn’t disappoint.
This book is a great read, well written and throughly enjoyed!!
Always enjoy her books.
Good story – exciting characters!
Historical mystery romance at its best. Absolutely loved this book – was mad when I had to go to bed and couldn’t finish it the first night. Great story telling, at times sad at what our heroine has had to endure at the hands of the villain. Action/adventure in the search for the villains. Characters with honor and backbone and of course a …
This was a very entertaining read. I liked it very much.
Great read. Loved the strong female character. Great story line. Unsurprisingly twists and turns and a happy ever after.
I wasn’t sure after reading some of the reviews but I have learned that with the free kindle books I always give at least a few chapters before writing it off, even some of the most loved books take longer than a few pages to get into but we are glad we stuck to them after discovering what we could have missed right? I’m glad that I stuck with …
