“My top read in the last year. This book is why I fell in love with reading.” USA Today Bestselling Author Meagan BrandyThere’s a rule in Crowne Hall: never look a Crowne in the eyes.It protects us more than them.I broke it once, the night Grayson Crowne mistook me for his true love and stole my first kiss. I’ve regretted it every day since. He hates me.He torments me.He won’t let me go, because … me.
He won’t let me go, because that night he whispered a secret against my lips not meant for me. Grayson Crowne, heir to the Crowne empire and notorious playboy prince is… a virgin.
I signed a contract in my heart’s blood as much as ink: help him get back his love, repair what I broke. Give him my body, my soul, my heart, let him use all of me, so when the time comes to marry her, he won’t need me.
I shouldn’t need him.
But he’s my stolen soulmate, and I’m at his mercy.
Stolen Soulmate is the second book in the Crowne Point universe. You do not need to have read Heartless Hero to read Stolen Soulmate, though it is recommended. It will enhance your reading experience as you will catch easter eggs and the timelines overlap.

This book made me feel so many emotions. There’s so much push and pull in the story, I wondered if they’d find there HEA. I love and hate Grayson, but I hate their way of life more. Love should be what’s important.
The tension between Grayson and Story is palpable. And their hot scenes are smokin. I end this book in tears as I await the next book.
This is also a new author to me. I’ll definitely be reading more from her. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.
This is the second book in Mary Catherine Gebhard’s Crown Point series. This can be read as a stand alone but I think there is a lot more satisfaction if you read Heartless Hero. Abigail and Theo are pretty hard to top, but this series is getting better and I’m stoked for the third. This is a forbidden, enemies to lovers, dark romance. I recieved a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This book, this book, holy hell this BOOK!!! This one deserves 100 STARS
I am still reeling from this one, it took me a week, a full freaking week to gather the balls to write a review. OMG, it’s like I’m speechless and words fail me to express how much I adored Stolen Soulmate .
So.Many.Freaking.Emotions!!!!
Ok, Grayson ans Story’s book is a masterpiece. Hands down one of the best books I’ve read in my 28 years of life. I was gobsmacked, heartbroken, astounded with how beautifully Mary Catherine Gebhard wrote their tragic, sweet, twisted and amazing love story. I mean, comparisons are never good but holy smokes have she grown as an author. It’s astonishing how much she had worked on her craft, and it’s truly evident in Heartless Hero but for all that’s holy, I never thought she would write something so perfect and haunting as SS.
This book is dark, twisted, it has wrecked me from the inside out and I am not ok. I won’t be okay until I read what’s to come.
Grayson Crowne owns every part of my body and soul. He is not who I thought he would be and I don’t think it will be easy for me to replace him, if ever. And Story Hale, that girl is legit dangerous for my heart. She is a force to be reckoned with, not even kidding.
My Rating: **3/4
Type: Can start as a standalone but ends with cliffhanger. Book 1
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Angst Royal Romance
Narration: Dual POV
Primary Characters: Grayson & Story
Note: Can’t be read as standalone. Ends with cliffhanger
I honestly don’t know how to rate this book. I have several complains, first, not highlighting this as a duet or ends with cliffhanger, you can tell me I was ignorant, but that’s not my main issue at all.
Writing style is super but it’s just too much for my taste. This book was too much of an angst, complexed, complicated, even emotionally twisted and too messy for my likings.
I got carried away with the blurb and reviews. Grayson is jerk, which I expected as it was bully romance, but the push and pull between them was too much. I can’t stand the guy, his traits were not portrayed very well, it kept on toggling between soft and cruel.
“Brutal kisses and gentle words or gentle kisses and brutal word”- that was exactly how this was.
I have never seen such a doormat heroine. Not that she was bad, but I just can’t stand such doormat heroines (Just not for me). In the full book, I couldn’t understand her character at all. She just takes all, without a hitch of self-respect and preservation. She might be a maid in the Crowne household, that doesn’t justify her character.
Complains on a story- Never see your employer in the eye. If you do so, it’s a punishable offense. What non-sense? Their conversation starts and end with we aren’t meant to be together, I can understand if it’s in the back of your mind but in every conversation, it’s too much. Mistress? These days? May be I m leaving in a different era and world.
Plot moved in slow pace for me. Push and pull between main characters was too much to take.
Secondary Characters – General opinion on Charlotte (Lottie) is that, she is sweet, cute and caring, but I felt it was bluff, her true characters were hidden. If that’s not the case (IMO), it felt unnatural. Woodsy was good, as an uncle. Abigail was defiantly not intriguing at all. Who wants to read a story about her and her lap dog?
Overall, this much of an angst, complicated, messy romance is not for me. I’m undecided if I will read the next book, I do have some interest in how the story concludes but we’ll have to see if I still care enough at the end of May to read it and since it is not on KU I’m not sure I want to find out enough to buy it.
OMG! OMG! OMG! my heart is in shreds I can’t believe this actually happened how can this be? I went into this book not knowing that it wasn’t standalone when I figured it out it was too late, I was sucked into Story and Grayson.
I’m NOT OK after reading the last chapter, but I FREAKING LOVED this book so hard.
Counting down the days until Forbidden Fate because I have no idea how this will unfold and right itself the way Fate intended, or maybe it’s not meant to be?!
5 soul crushing, stomp all over my heart, stars
“Souls are ugly, twisted, and dark.”
So is this book. Mary Catherine Gebhard is an emotional terrorist and that’s what makes her Bully Romance’s so damn good! She ripped my heart out with Gray and Story and I’m impatiently waiting for her to put it back together again.
When I read any book in the romance genre, I want to be hit with all the feels. I want to laugh, cry, be angry, fall in love and everything in between. MCG is an over achiever and I loved every second of it. I couldn’t put this book down if I tried! I’m totally invested in Gray and Story’s love story, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading!
I hated Gray in the beginning. HATED him. He had no redeeming qualities. As the story progresses, layers are peeled away and we see a different side to Gray. One that is redeemable and lovable. We get to see what Story has seen along. It is awe-inspiring!!
Story, Sweet Story, I’m on your side girlfriend! You are enough! Hang it there! I’m going to have Faith the MCG is going to put your heart, and mine, back together before this is all over.
Stolen Soulmate is a must read if you love bully romance! You do not have to read Heartless Hero, but I highly recommend that you do to get the full experience.
Oh my goodness. Story and Gray… Good lord have mercy. These two about killed me, I didn’t think I could feel that many emotions all at one time! Talk about heart attack! I’m not even sure I can articulate a sentence that would do these two justice. But I will do my best.
Story Hale is a servant at Crowne Point, they have one rule: “Never look a Crowne in the eyes”. So what happens when you break that rule? Story has always been one to lay low, don’t be seen, blend in at all times, and stay hidden. So what happens when she is unexpectedly “seen”?
Grayson Crowne is heir to the Crowne Empire and has the world at his feet, yet carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He is “Playboy Gray”, he has a different girl at every turn. When he accidentally shares his dark secret with Story… the shock value is REAL!
This book thoroughly wrecked me. I just have no words adequate enough to explain how irrevocably in love with Gray I was yet I hated him in equal parts. I was as torn about my feelings for him as Story was. I couldn’t comprehend what was happening to me. I have NEVER in my life felt emotions as strongly as I did with this book. I am officially damaged, my emotions were so disjointed, unsettled, incoherent, deranged.. so many words yet none of them sufficiently describe how truly destroyed I was by this book. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I chose to read this book.
So a little back story — I was given the opportunity to read Skaterboy when it was releasing which was my first book and only book by MCG and I loved it, so I chose to read this book with absolutely no knowledge of what I was in for. I didn’t read a blurb or anything, just dove in head first and like I said… wrecked, I am completely wrecked.. still.. it’s been a week. I am not ok. It took a week for me to even be able to attempt to write a review of this book. I just couldn’t.
Thank you MCG for your words and your characters. You have ruined me. The damage is permanent, there is no going back. I will never be the same and I love it and you. I didn’t realize just how much I could love a book until I read this one and now I need to know Abigail and Theo’s story because I just KNOW it will be phenomenal.
I just have no words…. She has done it again!! sucked me in and tossed me out with less of my heart intact. I thought the first one was a emotional roller coaster, Story and Gray’s lives are a million time more of a jolt to the emotions. She was pulled away from her job when Gray thought she was someone else, the one he was supposed to marry. Now she has that first kiss that can never be taken back so Gray decides she needs to pay for it.
If that doesn’t say enough about this book that you should read it then I am not sure what you need to do with your life. This one does end is a HUGE cliffy so be prepared but I feel it is worth it in the end. I was late to the party for these books but glad that I had read them recently enough that when the conclusion of their story is here, I may not survive to read again. JK JK I know I will be reading more from this author very soon.
What did I just read?! I’ll tell you what I just read. One of The most brilliant books ever written.,.My emotions have never been so high.. absolutely stunning !!!!
Stolen sole mate will leave your heart clenching in agony because of the raw emotions that Mary put forth in this story!
There’s Just an underlying brilliance behind every word that was so-genuinely executed!
What an incredible heart-wrenching ride this book just about ripped my heart and soul out..
The writing in this story was exceptional It was seductive and decadent.”
I am speechless, MCG has literally left me SPEECHLESS!!!
I was not expecting this book to be the way it was, I was hooked from the very first page and I just couldn’t put it down. Grayson is the bad boy we didn’t see coming, he is someone who is used to getting whatever he wants, he isn’t someone who forgives and forgets.
Story was EVERYTHING!!! I loved her so much she was so sweet and I just wanted her to fight back and stick up for herself. This story starts off with a stolen secret, a secret that locked these two in web of revenge, pain, love, and hatred. I legit CRIED while reading this book, it was such a bumpy ride that I was trying to catch my breath most of the time. This book was so addictive!!! Definitely one of my favorite reads of 2020
This book was so amazing! It took me on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride! It was beautiful, and heart-wrenching! This is one of the best dark and intense series I have ever read!
A HEARTBREAKING CLIFFHANGER
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Story Hale is a servant that got involved with her master, Grayson Crowne. They have a strange relationship where they know each other better than anyone else. Because of their status and Gray’s manipulating family, their love is thwarted and Gray is forced into marrying Charlotte, his longtime sweetheart. Things are left hanging in the story and one wonders what will happen after Charlotte’s threat to Story.
I was sitting on the fence deciding if I wanted to read another bully romance. After hearing so many raving reviews on Stolen Soulmate , I gave in and went into the book blind without any expectations. In the end, I was beating myself for not reading the book sooner. I was utterly stunned speechless by the captivating characters and the amazing writing. The angst and heartbreaks pull out all of my emotions. I was sucked deep into Crowne Hall quickly and I was addicted to the Crowne world.
Grayson, heir to the Crowne Empire, was a complex character that I want to hate and hate to love. His actions were giving me whiplashes, he could be so mean at times but also so sweet at others. Behind the cruel facades that he showed the world, he was so broken. He cared too much and had too much on his shoulders. I felt his loneliness and despair because of his lack of trustworthy comrade. I sympathized his circumstance and his helplessness. Everyone was wanting a piece of him and there were so many chains and expectations that were pulling him in all directions.
Grayson and Story’s forbidden romance was painful to witness. Fate had led them to their soul mate who understand and help them lessen their burden and fear. However, family legacy and responsibility were keeping them apart. My heart broke into a million pieces. There was enough hope in the story to make me think that the servant girl could win and fairy tales could be real, but reality was cruel. There is more to Story and Gray’s star-crossed romance and I have to believe that the author would mend my heart.
A new author to me. I didn’t read book 1 in the Crowne Point series but I’m going to right now. This story was u expectedly great. I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the reviews. Stolen Soulmate was a bit of a slow read at the beginning, but then I hadn’t read the first book. Once I got going I was hooked. I recommend you read them in order. The story was compelling and had a built in slow burn. You really are walking through darkness and this writer is a great story teller.
“You have the biggest heart of anyone, so you wrap it in thorns.”
An invisible girl. A stolen kiss. A whispered secret. A time when two lives collide and their stories can change forever. The wrong girl has never looked so right, even if it is only in his fantasies.
Grayson Crowne has only one duty: to marry the right girl, chosen by his grandfather. But he doesn’t want an unhappy bride. After spending a lot of time courting Charlotte Du Lac, he set up a date with her, alone, in a dark, isolated wing of Crowne Hall. Between kisses and caresses he whispers a secret only to find out: he is kissing the wrong girl.
Story’s life goal is to be invisible. She dresses like a nun, speaks softly and never looks up in the presence of a Crowne. However, few know that everything is just a cover to hide her secrets, her past and survive.
An unexpected agreement, serves to bring even more close lives that should not have crossed paths. And the taste of the impossible, the improbable and the forbidden seems increasingly distorted and obscure. But also painfully exciting and emotionally intense and captivating.
A book that will play with your emotions and drive your paradigms crazy. Making you wonder how soulmates can be cruelly beautiful and painfully destined for misfortune. A sweeping and uncertain ending that leaves you in pieces, but gives you hope and increases anxiety for the next book.
A heart wrenching romance read that will put you on an emotional tailspin. You think you know but you don’t until you reach the end with you in tears and wondering what did I read. I love a good bully storyline but this gave my emotions a workout and it’s not even done. Gray takes the cake as one of the villains that you will hate to love and when Story enters his life all bets are off. Their story was unexpected but you will find yourself addicted flipping the pages until the end. I’m not sure where the author plans to take their story but I know that I will be along for the ride. This was my first read by the author, it blew my mind and she has a fan for life.
Wow! Grayson and Story really burn up the pages! This is full of angst, drama, intrigue, and it’s all wrapped up in one heck of a twisted storyline. This is my first experience with this author and it won’t be the last! I didn’t read the first book in this series, but I am going to read it now! It’s not often that I find a new author whose writing captures my attention and keeps it until the very last page, but this author is extremely talented and I can’t wait to read more! I received this book at no cost in exchange for my honest review.
I don’t even know what to say with this. I was left in tears and dare I say? Broken. This is the first I’ve read by this author but after reading this I feel like I need to catch up. I usually don’t like high-angst stories unless I am in the right frame of mind. But man, this sucked me right in and wouldn’t let me know. Gray and Story are what stories are made of, with twists and darkness that you don’t expect. I did not what would happen from one page to the next and it just had me on edge.
I dove right into this story. It had me hooked from the beginning. In order for me to like a bully-romance, I would like the characters to have a few redeeming qualities. The way this story is written, you become consumed in this world of a contradicting fairy tale. It’s a modern-day Cinderella story, but with the cynicism and behavior of an archaic castle with a cast system. Everyone has a place, there are rules to be obeyed, and assumptions can leave you stuck in an unsafe zone. Grayson has a heart of gold, but he fights the demons that keep it buried underneath layers of stone. Story is a strong woman, who lets her crush get out of hand. With each detrimental phrase, Grayson throws at her; he leaves a crumb of truth and love that leaves you starving for more. Although it was hard for me to remember that this was in today’s timeline, I enjoyed the vast variations of the characters and their hesitations in telling the truth. The creativeness allowed the book to grab and leave you with immense anticipation of what is yet to come.
I received a free copy, through HiddenGems, in exchange for my honest review.
I loved Gray! Him and Story had amazing chemistry. Reading this was an emotional ride full of ups and downs, and I can’t believe everything that occurred. Great read.
