My voice doesn’t charm forest animals… It predicts death. That’s right—I’m a banshee. And I’m locked up in Nightmare Penitentiary with no hope of escape. I don’t expect to be rescued by handsome fae princes, either, since the last ones I had a crush on put me here. Now, the princes are here to rattle my cage, and they’re just as handsome and judgmental as I remember. I’d tell them exactly what … judgmental as I remember. I’d tell them exactly what I think about them, but in addition to stealing my freedom, they’ve taken my voice.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Okay it is official….I love this entire series! Each book does works as a stand alone all by its self but reading them all highlights little easter eggs and more making it that much more fun. This time our heroine is a Siren though they have taken her voice with a punishment collar while she is imprisoned. She is charged with killing the King but she did not do it. Add in three hot princes that cannot decide if she is innocent or not even though they have been friends for years to get a fascinating story set bot in and out of the prison. Makes for a fantastic read. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
4-4.5 stars for this standalone cowrite by Autumn Reed and Ripley Proserpina!
I thoroughly enjoyed Stolen Song by Autumn and Ripley. I will admit it too me a little bit to get sucked into the story but once I did I couldn’t put the book down. I really enjoyed seeing the personalities of the brothers shine, their powers, and the trials in the King’s Tournament. I thought the different pace and relationship our adorable banshee has with each of them was great. I think one of the main reasons I couldn’t give it a 5 star was because of her agreeing to help them and not holding them accountable long enough for doing that awful thing to her. For not trusting her, for letting others manipulate them, and for not even questioning her decency and a possible motive for supposedly killing the King. I would have given them waaaaay more crap for pulling that on me. I understand it is a standalone and they didnt want to harp on it, but it wasn’t like she was there for a month and left alone. She was pretty much tortured and not allowed to talk or so anything for over a year.
I think my favorite of the brothers was Ronan. The dessert part was ADORABLE and him being a snuggly sensitive teddy bear was amazing. I loved the cheekiness of Flynn. I wanted to connect more with Killian but it was tough because he was going through all the stuff and kinda kept his distance from her. I really enjoyed the mind talk. It made me giggle and snort when people didnt realize they were projecting hahaha.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this prison romance. Its my first one and I enjoyed it. I think this one had a huge amount of potential and didnt quite hit the mark like I know these authors have done for me, but it might just be a personal preference. I will continue to read all their works and hope for a Ronan of my own one day hahaha
Another fantastic tale in the Nightmare Penitentiary saga!
This book we meet Imogen, or Genny, a banshee wrongfully accused of killing a King, and 3 princes, Killian, Flynn and Ronan.

This book was easy to read, had a good storyline, and great characters. Imogen, was caring, forgiving and strong. The princes were all different, Killian the leader, Ronan the protector, and Flynn the lighthearted.
When their father the king died after complaining of a song in his head, Imogen, who had been lifelong friends of the princes was accused and sent to Nightmare Penitentiary. She has faced terrible pain and her voice has been taken. Cue the princes!
Killian is in trouble, and now the princes are starting to think they sent the wrong person away for killing their father. Can they trust Imogen? Were they wrong?
This story has plenty of twists and turns and I thought it was a unique tale. The world building was great, and I could almost smell the loch and the good magic. Throw in a little romance and you have a winner of a book! So far, I have enjoyed every book from the Paranormal Prison series and have had the opportunity to discover some new authors!
I definitely recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I am so enjoying this series. All of these different authors contributing to the Paranormal Prison series. This is so fun to read the different authors and get to know new ones in case you haven’t had a chance to read them yet.
Stolen Song is by Autumn and Ripley, they give us such a great twist of a fairy tale story mixed with paranormal rh. I mean who does not like that combination?? If you are looking for something somewhat different from the norm, this series would be for you.
The story itself is good, the plot is engaging, the characters entertaining, the pace is just right, the plot developed nicely, and the ending wraps up nicely.
I would highly recommend reading the Paranormal series, but I must say so far Stolen Song is my favorite out of this series.
I Loved This Book!!! Stolen Song was a captivating read! You jump right into Imogen’s current nightmare! She’s been imprisoned in Nightmare Penitentiary, accused and found guilty by her best friends. My heart hurt for Imogen, she’s been suffering, left to rot in that horrible place, and all the discrimination against her kind. GRRR! Imogen is a Banshee…Yes, a Banshee! How freaking exciting is that! This is my first ever Banshee book and it was Wonderful! It’s fresh and interesting! This author duo really did an amazing job of giving their readers something new and intoxicating! Imogen is back face to face with the three princes that betrayed her. The princes find themselves in need of Imogen’s help and for the chance to prove her innocence, she’s going to help them. Let me just take a moment to swoon!… Killian, Flynn, and Ronan are the stuff of dreams! Each one is magnificent in his own way, each one has a piece of Imogen’s heart! And lucky for us this is a Reverse Harem! So we don’t have to choose one! Let me warn you now, it gets pretty steamy! I devoured this book in a few hours, I was too entranced by this fascinating world. It’s full of action and suspense, a clock is ticking and just when they start to make some progress, bam, something or someone interferes. This book definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved all of it! It was heart-racing and emotional and steamy! I wasn’t ready for it to be over.
*Stolen Song is part of the Paranormal Prison collection. Each book is phenomenal and interconnecting by the Nightmare Penitentiary. I’m still waiting for that bastard Warden and that psychotic Doctor, Brina to get theirs, Whew those too! And I have to say my favorite little mouse still steals the show!I’m so thrilled with how amazing this series has been! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Imogen is a banshee who was imprisoned in Nightmare Penitentiary after she was accused by her three childhood friends of killing their father, the king. When those same three friends, show up a year later, it seems it’s just to rub her misery in her face, but they are on a mission to get to the truth. Imogen is nice, and even after a year in NP, she is still innocent/sweet, but a bit more broken. I like that she doesn’t shy away from letting the guys know how she was hurt by them, but I also felt like she let them off the hook pretty easily. I was not expecting the baddie to be who it was. Reed and Proserpina have created an intriguing set of characters. Hopefully we will see more stories by this duo in the future 🙂
I really enjoyed this book, it completely surprised me! It’s the first book I’ve read in this Paranormal Prison series, and I absolutely loved it. It was so original, I’d truly never read a book like it before and that made it so much more enjoyable for me. I loved the characters, the world, and the storyline. It was all so well written and I devoured it. I highly recommend this book!
Great Story!
This was a very thrilling and intense story that kept me captivated and highly entertained from beginning to end.
Imogen is a unique and fantastic character. She is in a horrible situation being locked up in Nightmare Penitentiary for something she did not do. Being put there by the people she trusts and loves the most breaks her heart but doesn’t stop her from fighting. Her friends Killian, Ronan and Flynn are going to make the wrongs they have done to Imogen right and try to help her. Which all together makes for a great and sometimes suspenseful story that is full of intrigue and murder!
We are taken on an enchanting journey into a world with unique and mythical characters including Fae, a banshee, a helpful mouse, demons and handsome princes. All mixed together into one great and thrilling story.
What a fantastic book co-written by Autumn and Ripley. Both fantastic authors and storytellers that create a wonderful world all on it’s own. Imogen is a banshee and I loved her caracter right away. She is portrayed differently than usual what makes the story all together a very good read. She already knows the princes. They all have distinct caracters and their personalities work very well together. A must read!
This Paranormal Prison story kept me entertained from beginning to end. Imogen “Genny” Eveningsong is banshee which I’ve heard of but didn’t know even the basic info about. She’s is in a horrible situation, locked up in Nightmare Penitentiary through no fault of her own. Her lifelong friendship with the three fairy princes of Tuatha Dé Danann had not stopped them from blaming her for something terrible. After a year of torture and imprisonment they’ve come to help her escape.
Killian, Ronan and Flynn made a big mistake and Genny is more quick to forgive than I would have been. The pov from all the characters along with their telepathy was perfect and I got to know each of them and understand the bond they all shared. The mystery surrounding the Tournament was interesting and kept me guessing. I was happy to learn some of their history as friends coming up. I was happy with this story and the HEA.
The story is interesting because it starts from the worst year of Imogen’s life and how suddenly it starts changing. She had a childhood friendship with the princes and when tragedy strikes, they turn their backs on her. I engaged from the beginning!
mogen is a Banshee, they sing laments for someone who is or is about to be dead. In Imogen’s case one such lament made her look guilty of a crime she didn’t commit, the death of the King.
As a resident of Nightmare Penitentiary, Imogen has a collar around her neck that prevents her from speaking. Well it doesn’t actually stop her she has to do that herself, should she even utter a word the collar subjects her to excruciating pain. Since she’s been imprisoned she hasn’t lamented, so it’s not known if she can stop a lament from happening or if the magic of the collar can.
Killian is the Crown Prince and he and his brother’s Flynn and Ronan have come to Nightmare Penitentiary to see her. They’ve being having some doubts about Imogen’s guilt caused by Killian developing the same symptoms as his father. Realizing she won’t speak because of the collar, the princes visit her in her cell after the librarian delivers a spelled book to her. With the book’s magic they can hear her thoughts as they ask their questions.
That doesn’t go very well either and they start watching her in her cell, what they see is her first lament since her imprisonment and the after effects.
An unusual turn of events has her returning home through a portal that shouldn’t be possible.
Now that she’s home there really was no safe place for her, but with the Kings Tournament soon to begin, the Princes secret her into the castle.
There is so much emotion in this book, for each of the Princes still love her and she them. Someone was framing her, and they need to discover who before Killian is dead and someone other than one of the princes sits on the throne as king.
Plenty of suspense, some very scary moments, a few giggles and a slow building relationship between Imogen and all three of her princes.
I really have to read every book in this new series. I can’t wait to see what other authors come up with.
This was a unique story, first because I have rearly read a story with a banchee and second because of the way the banchee was portrayed. I loved the development if the characters and how the main one had to work through peoples misconceptions of her. She did have three loving men to take care of her, so who needs others, lol. The way this story was laid out was great and I loved learning about the four if them as well as the prison aspects. This was another fun read in this series of standalone stories. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review. 3.75 stars.
Ugh I love this penitentiary theme. Because dang these two authors doing it makes it so good. From the first page I was invested. What happened, why was Imogen in the Nightmare Penitentiary, why did they seem to hate her so friggin much? And man it only got better when the princes looked at her like she was poop on the bottom of their shoes. I had questions and I wanted answers! So I got them, finishing this in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down, these princes responsible for Imogens cruel torture and punishment in her prison, now needed her help. My how the tables turned, and I was living for it. I personally wouldn’t hate it, if we got more. Just saying.
What an amazing world these authors have created!!
This book is action packed, full of mystery and has lots of emotion. The characters have depth and you get to know Imogen and the Princes well which I loved and the story is interesting and has you guessing!
I couldn’t put this book down. It kept me hooked from the first page!
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. I’ll be honest here and say that I’m kind of over the whole reverse harem thing so I went into this book a bit pessimistically. However, a very well written, fresh feeling story and a few intriguing twists helped to create a book that quickly captured my attention and wormed its way into my heart. Too often I feel a reverse harem romance is all about heat and very little about true heart and deep emotion and I felt that this was not the case with this book. You can expect plenty of emotion, tension, turmoil, drama, action and suspense as the story line unfolds and as Imogen, Killian, Ronan and Flynn’s relationship evolves. This is my volitional, candid review.
I enjoyed this magical new world! Imogen was an interesting character. Her magical powers were interesting and I can understand why people were afraid of her. I liked getting into the heads of Killian, Ronan and Flynn. We got to see how each of them felt about Imogen and was able to see how their relationships grew. The twists on the games to be King were interesting.
Overall, this was an interesting paranormal story.
I received an ARC for my honest review.
Stolen Song is a unique love story. It keeps the reader intrigued and the storyline doesn’t drag on. Imogen is a great character and the world that the story takes place in is fascinating. You get romance, suspense, mystery and a well buttoned up book with Stolen Song. I think I would have liked to have a bit more background as to what year/era the story takes place in. It seems to be set in modern times, but a bit more insight into how the magical world functions around the mortal world would have been neat.
I couldn’t put the book down, so it was still an amazing book. I would highly recommend giving it a read if you’re looking for something to read in a day without cliffhangers!
I loved every minute of this book!! It was very well written a great plot and Imogen and the prince’s I feel like I really got to know each of them and their personalities as the story progressed. I confess No have never read a story with a Banshee before and it was very interesting to learn the power and purpose in their life and how that weighs on Imogen throughout. Killian, Roman and Flynn are all perfect in there own way and the ending just makes it all fall together
What a wonderful story. Full of mystery, forgiveness, and love. The connection these four have was so special. After the event that tore them apart, they were able to get past all of their issues and come together to save their future. I’m so happy the got their happily ever after!
