A senseless slaughter leads Lucas Davenport down a twisted path in this thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling author. Lucas Davenport has seen many terrible murder scenes. This is one of the worst. In the Minnesota town of Wayzata, an entire family has been killed—husband, wife, two kids, dogs. On the wall, in blood: “Were coming.” No apostrophe. There’s something about the scene that … There’s something about the scene that tugs at Lucas’s cop instincts—it looks an awful lot like the kind of scorched-earth retribution he’s seen from Mexican drug gangs. But this is a seriously upscale town, the husband ran a modest software company, the wife dabbled in local politics. None of it seems to fit.
Until it does…

Any book by John Sandford is hard to put down. Easily one of my favorite authors.
Very good. Fast moving. Gruesome images. Worrisome gangs

Lucas Davenport doesn’t fail to deliver.
I have been an addict of John Sandford’s books about Lucas Davenport since the first one I’ve read. They are hard and biting and harsh at times, but the writing is superb, the characters are well-developed and the story line (mystery) in each one is original and gripping.
Typical John Sanford and Lucas Davenport, but that is not a bad thing. Love to read these because of the MN setting.
Another entertaining John Sandford book.
Love all of John Sandfords Prey series, that never, ever disappoint!
I have every PREY book and look forward to reading many more…
Love this series and the characters. John Sanford never disappoints.
Loved it
Sandford’s books are always good
The Prey series never fails. Davenport is a well built character, great supporting cast! Always a new twist to each book
What can I say, it’s a John Sandford! Always entertaining I found this one particularly so, very interesting plot and little more of mystery than most. I recommend it for light, quick reading – if you like Sanford.
I love anything by John Sandford
Live all of John Stafford novels. Entertaining!
Loved it. Could not put down!
I’m a big fan but this is not up to his usual standard. Too much technical stuff
