Making everyone feel comfortable with laughter and an easiness he was known for was what he did. Ok yeah he acted like a child sometimes but hey he was the youngest and it was his way. Well it was his way until he saw her. What it was about her that made him want to change his ways, he couldn’t tell you. She was rude, hardcore, abrasive and beautiful. She was just there to do a job nothing more nothing less and getting involved wasn’t part of the plan. But as things unravel and truths are told, nothing is as it should be.
This author Takes us on a thrilling roller coaster ride as we deal with the drama and suspense that’s unfolding because there is much a foot. Love this author and the way she puts it all together. Great twist and action and of course Lucky will never be the same.
Romance, secrets and suspense are the perfect combination for Amanda Siegrist’s latest book “Stolen Memories”, the third book in her Lucky Town series. Seth and Pepper are two lonely souls looking for answers so they can leave the past behind and look forward to the future.
I was intrigued from the very beginning by Pepper’s aloofness and her inability to warm up to the friendly, Lucky community. I had a sense she was hiding something and it took me forever to figure out what she was up to. Pepper was dedicated to her career in law enforcement, but she had a hard time making friends and developing personal relationships, which made Seth’s job even harder. From the moment he bumped into her at the convenience store, he knew he had to find out more about her. He was shocked to learn that Pepper was the new deputy that his brother Logan had recently hired, and even more surprised when he had to work with her. Her rude behavior was not a deterrent to how he felt about her because he was certain that behind her icy exterior was a beautiful, smart and thoughtful woman. Pepper fit into his life and completed it, even if she didn’t realize it. No matter what it took, they would find the truth, solve the case, and be together.
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Seth and Pepper’s story. Seth is looking for his best friend Evan whose boss has been murdered, and his brothers asks him to work with a feisty Pepper, who is the new deputy in town. Pepper has her own agenda, and she did not count on having to work with Seth to find his friend Evan, especially when he can sense that she is hiding something and is determined to knock down her walls. This is another well written storyline, which is filled with suspense, intrigue, secrets, turmoil, twists, tension, emotions, angst, danger, and romance. I was intrigued and hooked throughout this riveting tale, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I liked the twist and turns the story took. One question might be answered but there was so much more happening in the back ground. Especially with Pepper. That twist was epic. I didn’t see that coming at all.
Stolen Memories is Book 3 of the Lucky Town series by Amanda Siegrist. I really wanted to learn Seth’s story and be along for the ride as he finds his way to love…and it is not an easy journey.
Seth never got over his sister’s kidnapping. He felt he should have been there to save her. He feels betrayed by his best friend, Evan. He feels he is keeping secrets and turns his back on him. Will he find out what he is hiding? Can they repair their friendship? I understand Seth’s position, but I really hope they can work it out. His life is work, sleep, repeat and people need more than that.
Pepper came to town to fill the vacancy at the police station, since Derek left, which causes problems of its own. She comes across as a cold, uncaring person, but that is because she refuses to let anyone into her life. She has a secret and I can hardly wait to find out what it is.
When Seth went to her house the first time, he was so sweet and funny and cute.
Pepper and Seth make for a fantastic story. I fell for her character. I found it easy to relate to her and as the romance heated up, so did the danger.
I kept feeling something was coming, but Amanda made me wait, and wait, and when it came, it was so not what I was expecting. WOW, Amanda. I love that, even though I know romantic suspense is filled with angst and danger, you still managed to surprise me in a fabulous way.
I can definitely recommend this series.

Frigid and uptight Pepper is the newest deputy in town & Seth is less than thrilled to be paired with her to help with a recent murder. Having to help the new deputy look for his former best friend Evan to ask questions about the murder is the last thing he wants to do. He can’t figure out the beauty with a cold demeanor to everyone. Despite her iciness he can’t help but be attracted to her, especially when he sees bits and pieces of a softer side under her frosty shield.
Pepper has one goal in mind when she got the deputy position. She has no intentions of making friends. And she has no idea why Seth gets under her skin. Despite being short & rude to him, he doesn’t give up trying to get through to her. Little by little he manages to break through her walls. What will happen when he discovers the motive why she’s in his town?
This was a great read with drama, action & suspense. Looking forward to reading more!
Stolen Memories is the third book in the Lucky Town series, though it can be read as a standalone.
Pepper is the new deputy for the Sheriff’s office with an agenda of her own. She’s not much of a people person, so when she gets paired up with Seth, the Sheriff’s brother and ex best friend to a man suspected of murder, the last thing she expects is to fall in love.
Seth knows Pepper is hiding something, but doesn’t know what it is. The more they work together to find his ex best friend, the more he finds himself falling for her.
Can they survive once her secret is out?
Loved this story. It’s full of action, suspense and romance.
Pepper has joined the Sheriff’s office with an agenda. Seth is helping the Sheriff’s office to find his ex best friend who is being looked at for murder. Neither expected to fall in love with the other, especially since Pepper is hiding a doozy of a secret! An excellent, fast paced, romantic suspense story from beginning to end.
While yet another mostly enjoyable story, I struggled to connect with Seth a lot of the time, and again secondary characters bugged me which lowered my enjoyment of what could of been a fantastic book. Then again maybe it shows talent of the author to evoke such a strong reaction from me. Just a shame it wasn’t quite in the good way.
In saying all of that the suspense drew me in so much that yet again I found myself unable to look away even if I wanted to.
Would definitely reccomend this series for all suspense lovers who want a quick, fast paced read full of suspense.

Amazing love story
Stolen Memories is the third book in Lucky Town series. The plot is so cleverly well-developed and well-written. The writing just flowed and had me engrossed to the story from start to finish wanting to find out what happens next. I enjoyed every minute of it and never wanted it to end. I fell for the characters primary and secondary because it’s so easy to love them and identify with them. In my opinion all the characters were the heart of the story because they were so engaging and helped the development of Seth and Pepper’s story. This book was a road of self-discovery, self-doubting, forgiveness, loyalty, love, family and friendship. It was an enjoyable read with some twists, while delivering an intense, passionate romance and love story between Seth and Pepper that I devoured in one sitting. The characters are brilliant, complex – layered and so likeable.
I’m so glad we got glimpses at Logan and Aubrey; Danny and Kat. I loved they were there for each other when it mattered. Deke and Charlotte were also a perfect addition to this group and storyline. Deke and his one-liners helped break the tension and make me fall in love more with his fun loving side.
The chemistry and tension between Pepper and Seth was everything. I liked them from the moment they interacted the first time. They lit the pages with their chemistry. They are each other’s match; sinfully sexy and intense. He can’t explain what exactly is about her that gets to him; he just knows that he is drawn to her. But also suspects that she is hiding something which makes him want to be cautious. With danger surrounding them, he vowed to keep her safe. Seth is charming, loving, caring, loyal, broody; but also jaded from the past and doesn’t trust easily. Pepper is loving, caring, fighter, survivor, vulnerable, loyal and jaded from the past. Separately they are beautiful mess, together they are perfectly imperfect. Neither of them in the beginning is looking for a relationship, but also can’t deny the strong connection or the chemistry they feel. They are passionate, a little bit angsty and intense. I loved their banter which was a highlight to getting to know them and my reading. They had a lot going on. I love their moments and dialogues and banter; how they are just drawn to each other, how gradually they let each other in and began to trust each other. They simply understand each other. Maybe they don’t make sense but when they are together – they are just perfect and exactly what they need in order to heal and move on from the scars of their past. Their love story is not perfect. It’s layered, fast paced, real, emotional, with depth, lies, secrets and edge. The pace of the story added to their romance and to them figuring out place in life and new circumstances of situation. It was flirty, fun, touching, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! It kept my attention at all times and I could not put it down. I completely adored Stolen Memories, Seth and Pepper. It was addictive, angsty, slow burn, sinfully sexy and intense, suspenseful, emotional, heartbreaking, enthralling and raw with real characters and a lot of heart and heartbreak. With relatable, wonderful and marvelous primary and secondary characters, an effortless writing, awe-inspiring details and a journey of self-doubting, finding love again, secrets, second chances, mystery and suspense, the author takes us on an emotional and beautiful journey of the characters, their struggles and their self-discovery. I can’t wait for Deke and Charlotte. I highly recommend this book and series.
I really enjoyed reading Stolen Memories, the third book in the Lucky Town series. Amanda’s books always pull you in and keep you turning the pages. This story is about Pepper and Seth. Pepper is head strong, likes to get things done, she comes off as rude and stand offish, just because she wants to get her job done. Seth is childish, has a bad temper, and doesn’t like liers. Pepper and Seth started out on the wrong foot, but never knew they had to work together. With a murder and disappearance of Evan, Pepper and Seth will have their hands full. I loved the suspense, the chemistry, and the great story line.
Pepper is in town for one reason. It doesn’t include making friends, and she is singularly focused on only that. As we watch her join the police force and get thrown into working alongside Seth, we watch her walls slowly start to crumble. Seth knows he’s made mistakes in his past but he doesn’t feel Pepper is one of them. If only he can get her to shift her focus off her job long enough to give him a chance because he knows there’s a good woman underneath the tough exterior.
Admittedly, this one had a rocky start for me because I thought there was too much repetition on the fact Pepper had to remain distant and wasn’t there to make friends. But once I got over the initial hump, the story grew addicting and I wanted to know why Pepper was in town. I wanted to see her and Seth succeed.
I love the town of Lucky because the family we are introduced to over multiple books is tight-knit, and they protect their own, even when they’re in the wrong. I’m looking at you, Kat. I loved watching Seth break down Pepper’s walls, and I loved how his family and friends embraced her. A super fun read.
