Sara Campbell doesn’t do relationships. As a divorce lawyer, she’s witnessed one too many failed marriages and has zero plans to add herself as another statistic. Cooper Divers has enough on his plate as a local detective and doesn’t have time for a relationship. Fun is the name of the game for him. From the first time they meet Sara and Cooper are like oil and water, pitching verbal jabs at each … verbal jabs at each other for their own entertainment.
But when they’re thrown together as the best man and maid of honor, the undeniable spark and heat between them ignites.
It doesn’t take long for Cooper to realize that he’s willing to toss away his rules on relationships. Can he convince Sara to do the same and take a chance on love?

Sometimes oil and water do mix! Such is the case in Renee Harless’ second book of her Stolen Series! When a lawyer and a detective, basically two sides of the same coin, find themselves stuck together, sparks turn into stolen moments.
The characters are interesting and the plot is intriguing. Harless does a fantastic job of drawing the reader into the story and keeping them turning pages until the very end.
A really enjoyable read, I was excited to read Sara and Coopers story and I wasn’t disappointed. Cooper was great he had so much patience with Sara, and she had a soft spot that was hidden under her feistiness, they were a great couple. It was great to catch up with characters from the previous book, and to see how they were getting along.
Stolen Kisses is the second book in the Stolen series by Renee Harless. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you read Book 1 Stolen Nights so you can understand why these two loves to hate each other and why they are asked to work together to plan a wedding.
Cooper is Jackson’s police detective brother and Sara is Elle’s divorce lawyer best friend. The two of them have been asked to be Best Man and Maid of Honor for Elle and Jackson’s wedding. Ellie is swamped with her new business and ask these two to work together and help plan her and Jackson’s wedding with the wedding planner. Naturally they don’t want to because they can’t be in the same room together without fighting, and neither one of them believe in true long-lasting love.
These two together are trouble and they tend to act a little immature even though they are nothing like that when apart form each other. They know they must be professional when they are with the wedding planners but find it hard to resist tormenting each other when they can. The more time they spend together the harder it is to fight the inner feeling they are having for each other as well as the constant dreams. Sara keeps having a memory from her past and can’t seem to understand why it seems so real and only wishes she knew who saves her in the dream and why it seems she knows him somehow. While Cooper holds the secret and doesn’t even realize it until it comes up.
Copper realizes the longer they are together the more he can’t hide the way he really feels about Sara. He also realizes he must let Sara get there in her own time and this may take some time even when he keeps pushing to spend more than wedding planning with her. When Sara finds out that Cooper was the guy who saved her and haunts her dreams it is harder to fight the feelings, she has for him and she begins to let things happen. Will they be able to have a successful relationship, or will they fail?
This book is filled with all the emotions a reader wants–tension, angst, love, combustion, hot sex, and even laughter. I also love that the author makes has you feeling like you are a part of the story and you can’t help but be so in love with the characters. You will also get a taste of Carson a place that is from one of Renee’s other series. One-click this heartwarming story and see if enemies can become lovers.
The push and pull of Sara and Cooper’s relationship was fun to read. The passion and chemistry was instant. Their pull to each other was almost outer-worldly, but that didn’t mean their like it each other was that fast. Well, maybe their like for pushing each other’s buttons. I never would have expected Cooper to be as sweet as he was. Sara was a little jaded and their relationship eased at a nice, slow burn, which was a little shocking with their crazy chemistry. However, it made the story and made for some cute moments. Loved the moment in Carson, as well!
I loved this book. The chemistry between Sara and Cooper was explosive. I love the whole enemies to lovers theme. Cooper is the HOT Detective and Sara is the no nonsense divorce attorney that are tasked with planning a wedding. Sparks start flying like crazy, but Sara is leery about relationships because of all the ones she has seen end.
You need to read this book to how it all plays out, you won’t be disappointed.
Ok everyone needs to read this book! I easily read it in one sitting. What an absolutely enjoyable and engrossing book!! The chemistry between Sara and cooper is explosive. absolute must read.
Everyone needs to read Sara and Coopers story. Absolutely no spoilers here, just a nudge to read an amazing slow burn romance. This books is full of all the feels that any romance reader wants. Can be read as a standalone or in series with Stolen Nights.
Enjoy!!!
I love the chemistry between Sara and Cooper. They fight hard and they love hard. Sara is a divorce lawyer afraid to fall in love after seeing her mom marry and divorce several times. Cooper is a smoking hot detective and can’t stay away from Sara. I love that Elle and Jackson devise a plan to get them together by having them plan their wedding. Genius! But can Cooper get Sara to open her heart??
This is book #2 in a series but can be read as a standalone. I didn’t realize until after reading that this was book #2 so I definitely need to go back and real Elle and Jackson’s story.
Enemies to lovers, one of my favorite tropes. If it’s one of yours, you will definitely enjoy this book. The chemistry between Cooper and Sara is sizzling. Their arguments are just as scorching as their bedroom antics. If you’ve read other books by this author, you will notice a few surprise visits and places. I highly recommend.
A slow burn romance that grips you right from the start. Love smacks Cooper and Sara right in the face, but Sara is too stubborn and scared. Instead their relationship simmers and burns to the point that a fire ignites when they are near. A terrific story of finding true love and happiness with one’s self that leaves you breathless and wishing for more. A must read!!
Really enjoyed this book!
When I read about Sara and Cooper in ‘Stolen Nights’ I did wonder if we would get their story. I was intrigued by the chemistry between both characters. So I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book…
Sara is Elle’s best friend and Cooper is Jackson’s brother. Neither believe in long term relationships, and love to hate each other. Only being so close to the characters from ‘Stolen Nights’ it makes it hard to avoid each other…
How will they survive each other’s company?
Another wonderful read that I could not put down until I finished it! We first met Cooper and Sara in Stolen Nights as Cooper was the brother of Jackson and Sara is Elle’s best friend. Elle and Jackson are getting married and asked them to plan their wedding for them as they have more “free” time to meet with the wedding planners. There is definitely sparks between the two, however Sara is wary of relationships as she is a divorce lawyer and her mother is on her fourth husband after Sara’s father left them. Can Cooper overcome Sara’s hangups? Read it to find out!
