A thief and a single father don’t bode well. She’s snarky, and sexy which can only lead to two broken hearts.
It was a day like any other on the ranch.
Hard work and no play makes for a cranky cowboy. Needing a night out on the town left me sneaking in my father’s house like a teenage boy. That was my first mistake of the day.
The second was playing hero to a damsel in distress that turned … hero to a damsel in distress that turned out to be no damsel at all but a sexy, snarky woman who took me by surprise.
How you ask?
I’d been a ladies man. That is until I became a father. My rebel days were gone. A six-year-old sassy daughter changed all of that for me. I didn’t need the complicated messy kind of love stuff. My hands were full.
A mission into town to handle a family issue would make my life more muddled. The day I met the woman who would steal my heart.
A thief. A woman on the run. A woman with one too many secrets. A woman whom I had to save because if I didn’t, I feared she disappear and take two hearts with her. I wasn’t prepared for the danger she was in and the decision I’d have to make. She’d hate me for sure.
I definitely wasn’t prepared for her to leave.

Bear takes care of his 6 year old daughter Missy. They always say it takes a village to raise a child and luckily he has his family to help him out. His little sassy princess has everyone wrapped around her little finger. Even though they fight a lot the Calhouns have each others back when it counts. Trouble has a way of finding them and when Bear meets Nita she has trouble written all over her. This doesn’t stop him and the rest of the family to take her in like she’s one of their own. Nita has dark secrets and reasons of why she has become the woman she is today. How long will it take before they catch up with her?
Bear falls head over heels in love with Nita and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her to stay with him. I loved the chemistry between the two and I also loved to read about the connection Nita has with the rest of the Calhoun family. Missy is such a fierce young girl and she made me laugh out loud so many times. I fell in love with that little firecracker immediately.
When you pick up a book written by Kelly Moore a few things are certain: 1. You’ll fall in love with the family’s she writes about. 2. The men are hot hot hot. 3. The women are fierce, sassy and can hold their own and last but not least 4. You can be sure of thrilling actions, soulcrushing love and tearjerking twists. Kelly writes with so much passion that you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and feel their stories in the depths of your soul. I read a lot of books but there are not many authors who can grab me from the very first lines of a story and won’t let me go until I’ve read every single book in that serie. Kelly Moore is brilliant and next to being the amazing author she is, she’s also a gem as a person with a big loving heart.
Stolen Hearts is the second book in the Whiskey River Road series and to completely understand the story, these books should be read in chronological order.
I don’t normally like western type books but this one was really good! It starts well and keeps you interested. I felt that the characters were well created and defined so it was easy to follow the protagonist and the other personalities. i received a free ARC copy too late for an advanced review. This happens quite a bit since there is no follow up email to let you know it posted!
I highly recommend this book! I can’t wait to read the next story! That’s all I am giving you about the story. i don’t believe in copying the book word for word, as we all like different parts for different reasons.
Stolen Hearts (Whiskey River Road, #2) was another great read by Kelly Moore. This book focuses on Bear who is a single father of a six year old girl. His days of being a rebel and a ladies man are over now. He comes in contact with a young woman who he tries to help. Nita is a thief who Bear tries to help but he doesn’t expect for the danger that she’s in. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by Kelly Moore.
I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

I loved this one almost as much as Coming Home(Book 1). Well maybe a bit more because I get to reenter these characters lives who I grew to love. They have such a gruff camaraderie. Typical family. All different personalities but they come together when threatened.
There are quite a few humorous moments in here. I will give some highlights but hopefully not give too much away. The father figure started disliking pants at the end of the last book and he seems to carry it through to this one. Causing some hair raising moments! There is also some special words used for the sexy parts of men and women. Many times I was like “What did she just say?” She did! OMG that’s hilarious! Then when Boone tries to get into the act…even funnier! If you want the full dose read Clem’s story in Coming Home.
I highly recommend this book to readers and especially listeners. There are fun and serious times. I did listen to this on audio. John-Michael Jalonen is the narrator. He does ah-maz-ing! Such a great voice to listen to for hours.
I eagerly look forward to the next in the series!
Awesome Story & Audible Listen Loving this Series!
Stolen Hearts
Whiskey River Road, Book 2
By: Kelly Moore
Narrated by: John-Michael Jalonen
Kelly Moore delivers another awesome book in her wonderful “Whiskey River Road” series. I was blown away by the first book, “Coming Home” and I am happy to say that the same great momentum continues with this book with amazing storylines that are captivating from start to end. The story picks up right where the first one ended and it puts Bear, Clem’s brother in the forefront. I loved him in the first book so I was glad to hear he would be getting his own book. The books contains all the other great characters from the first book too, which I loved, Clem & Boone are horn dogs, Chet is his usual grumpy self, Ellie continues her shenanigans, Ethan still pining after her, Wyatt and Margret may have called a truce and Missy is as cute as ever. . There is never a dull moment. So with that great lineup you know there will never be a dull moment with the Calhouns and on their ranch. Tom Meynard on his deathbed put a plan in action to continue to screw with them and their ranch. Bear captures a car thief and she captured not only his heart but Missy’s too, but can they capture hers. I was intrigued by Nita, sure she brought her own kind of trouble but she was great with Missy and Chet too. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is greatly plotted with plenty of drama, action, some great humor and dialogue, some heartfelt moments, heartbreaking ones and some hot romance. I am looking forward to Ellie’s story and what comes next for the Calhouns on Whiskey River Road. Kelly Moore, thank you for another awesome story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, John-Michael Jalonen is a terrific narrator and voice artist. He did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work & his characters as he projects their emotions into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank for you this great listen
Stolen Hearts
Whiskey River Road, Book 2
By: Kelly Moore
Narrated by: John-Michael Jalonen
I loved Coming Home, so when i heard Book 2 in this series was coming out, I was thrilled! And it stands up to all my expectations! Bear was the party boy until his girlfriend got pregnant. Now a single dad, helping run the ranch and his car shop, he doesn’t have time for a real relationship. Then why does he feel the need to help Nita? Nita is running from something and can’t stop. But there is something about Bear and his family that has her grounded. This slow burn couple had me rooting for them from their first meeting. But that’s not all! While telling us Bear’s story, Kelly Moore slips in points of view from other members of the Calhoun family. Clem, Boone, Ellie Wyatt and Chet all play an integral part in the book. We get history and shenanigans, family bickering and unity, small town politics, high tension, smoking passion and all around fun. I am loving this series. It’s intricate, intelligent and filled with all the emotional pull that sucks you in and keeps you invested. Bring on Ellie, I am ready!!
A new to me narrator, John-Michael Jalonen brings this gem to life. With a charming southern drawl, he gives Hear the charisma that made me fall for him. He has great pacing, adds the junior perfectly and glows between characters with ease. I enjoyed his performance.

Stolen Hearts is the second book in the Whiskey River Road series and is a great western romantic suspense story.
The family dynamics in this book are very realistic, with each having the other’s back even though they may be on the outs with each other at the time.
The characters are wonderfully developed, likable, and relatable. The storyline is well written and entertaining, with a sweet and sassy six-year-old, a cantankerous old man, and two people who were made for each other but have yet to realize it. There is danger, suspense, intrigue, and romance in this enjoyable story.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
What a phenomenal new book from Kelly Moore filled with heartache, secrets, passion, friendship, family, danger, and love. Bear is a single father still adjusting to fatherhood, the loss of his mother, and attempting to put his past behind him. Nita is a young woman willing to do whatever it takes to keep moving and running for her life. When Bear and Nita meet, sparks instantly fly between the two but when danger comes knocking on Bear’s door for both Bear and Nita will they be able to stay together or will they be torn apart by life choices? Stolen Hearts is a captivating and thrilling new book from Kelly Moore in the Whiskey River series. I can’t wait for the next book to be released and I really hope Bear and Nita find their happily ever after.

Yet another amazing book by Kelly Moore!! This book had me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages. I love everything about this series. From the strong sense of family, the suspense that keeps you turning the pages to the drama that blends it all together so well. The Calhoun’s are my new favorite fictional family and I can’t wait for Ellie’s story!!
Love this series
The Calhoun family is back and there’s trouble brewing – still. They’re in a continual fight for their land, seems their neighbor has sold his property to a land developer and left his daughter all but penniless for revenge on the Calhouns. Add to that the intrigue of a car thief that’s not really a car thief. But she does steal Bear Calhoun’s heart. All in all a really good read.
Bear!!! Oh my goodness I loved him so much! It seems that the Calhoun family was about to be pulled into some deep trouble. I loved watching Bear and Nita’s attraction grow. Missy really stole me heart in her own way. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this family!
I was totally captivated by this wonderfully written storyline and characters that were written with such great detail and depth that I remained totally engaged throughout the entire book! I always enjoy reading what this author writes!
This is the 4th book I’ve read written by Kelly Moore; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This series is awesome because of the author writing it.
She knows her readers so well and we follow her no matter what genre she writes.
This family is keeping me reading and I love the new book.
The characters portray so many different attributes and the plots are complex and keep me wanting more.

This is the second book in the Whiskey Rover Road series. This is Bear and Nita’s story. The Calhoun family saga continues with the cankerous father, the family ranch and its challenges and of course, the additions this loud and opinionated family that continues to grow and become even stronger and tighter. Bear is a multi-hat wearing man, he helps out at the family ranch, he has his own garage in town, plays in a band when he can and is a single father to a great six year old girl. This does not leave a lot of time to go out and play around but he manages a night out every now and again. He meets Nita when he catches trying to steal a car, he also finds himself as her guardian until her trial. Nita is not an innocent woman but she comes with a past that she is desperately trying to stay ahead of. Bring on the challenges, twists and turns that this story reveals as you turn the pages. Enjoy!

I love the author’s take on the Calhoun Family. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be my last. I wish I had read the first one in this series, but intend to read it. This story is about Bear, the single dad of a incredibly smart and funny 6 yr old daughter who keeps him on his toes. He works the ranch, and part time in a mechanic shop that he Co-owns, and once a month a he plays in the band at a local bar. He’s made mistakes in the past, which his gruff dad keeps reminding him. One day while in town, he notices a young woman (Nita) at the diner who is short on money to pay for her meal and steps in to help cover the cost. He follows her out of the diner and sees her slipping items in her bag from the farmers market and trying to hot wire a pickup. She does succeed in stealing a vehicle and he jumps in with her. Soon the local cop is behind her. Near convinces Mike to play along with him. Instead of putting her in jail, he allows Bear to take her to his ranch until the trial. Bear and Nita grow closer during the time she is with him and his daughter, Missy. This has a Great storyline and includes all members of the family from Clem and Boone from Book 1, brother Wyatt the attorney, and Elle, the younger wild child sister and her u filtered mouth. There’s humor, sass, angst, a kidnapping, heartache, twist and turns with suspense. I love Bear and really want him to find his HEA. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
